User Reviews on Pinochle – Expert AI

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Pinochle – Expert AI below:

It would be nice if the partner would at least pass the pinochle cards to the bidder when spades or diamonds is named trump. Its very irritating to have three legs of the pinochle and then not get the other piece from your partner. Also the partner needs to keep the pinochle for meld when naming spades or diamonds trump.

Very nice set up for play. Unfortunately, more than a few scoring inconsistencies, that diminishes any interest in continuing.

Can you tell us why when we lead a pointer and our partner has an ace, he lets it go and invariably our opponent takes the trick? If a real life partner did that, he would only do it once after we read him the riot act. It happens very frequently!

Our AI partner always outbids us only to flush out all of our trump and then we lose the bid! Whats up with the eternal drive to get out the A of trump, even leading with k and 10s? The AI does this until the last A of trump has played. And often leaves us going set due to having no more trump! Why does our partner always outbid us ? If we have an awesome run we have to keep outbidding our AI partner until we cannot save! Ugh ! We liked your ap at first cus we lik3 the game but i5 definitely needs to learn the gam3 better! Thanks, Joy.

We get 5 maybe 6 bids in and it conchs out! It needs an update to keep it stable!

Last pinochle app had an ad after every handnot this one thank you!!!!

Even if you dont have a hand to bid, you dont let the bid go for openers or close to it. You still try to set you opponent. Bots without sophistication.

In double deck its okay to send your partner 20 meld if the partner has at least 16 and then it also applies as the numbers go up. 26 is 30 and so on. Its not okay to send your partner meld if you dont dont have at least two or three aces in your hand unless of its bidder go for the opponent. A lot of times the computer partner wont even send meld because its acting like it wants the bid but if youre going to bid send meld also because that maybe all your partner needs and when its just you and your partner bidding then dont keep out bidding each other because then youre both out of range. These things we discussed is the problems we have with the computer partner and the dealing appears to be biased in favor of the two computer partners oppose to the dealing just being random every deal from the beginning to the end.

Who developed the play rules. When you are sitting on 3 legs of pinochle you always always send it vs a stupid jack of spades. Seriously? Learn the rules!

This app Has a triple Towers Solitaire game ad that doesnt quit. He just locks up the game and you cant play it for a couple hours with that. Super stupid experience. It is a mediocre Pinochle game, theres a little bit of a disconnect withThe game partner outbidding you when you were the only two bidding. That seems a little stupid They seem to have a decent time out for ads to play it only five seconds before you can cancel and get back to the game. But not with triple tower solitaire. That ad screws this game up, Makes it intolerable to play, and is absolutely 100% action packed with more stupid than its worth.

The AI partner plays like a dolt, often calls trump and we end up skunked; makes very unintuitive decisions compared to how a real life game goes. AI opponents get hooked up w major meld often and its like playing 2 opponents that can see each others hand – they play off each other flawlessly. Not a very good simulation of the game is experienced in real life.

Pass should be separated from bid often pass when attempting increase bid or instruction should be larger Large fingers small screen plus Parkinsons equals errors in bidding we hav been playing this game sins we were 12. Also revamp your instructions Request kitty – no kitty Request pass 4 cards – unable to pass Your programming Bria thorough review. We’ve played this game for over 50 years. This, overall is a poor example.

We’ve played over 200 games. We’ve hit double pinochle 3 times. The computer has hit it at least 12 times. Whats really weird is the partner who didnt win the bid will hit double pinochle when they bid really, really high. Expect to be cheated on, but it will let you win occasionally. Still fun to play.

When winning the bid, pass from partner does not support bidder, if AI partner has meld.

Very few double pinochle games stop bidding below 85, even if the opponent cant put together 35 meld with card passing. This is not aggressive bidding. This is pinochle with that player that makes the game unenjoyable. Give our partner a 50 meld bid, and it passes below 60 despite it having a run. Having bid strategy settings doesnt do anything if the AI isnt following them.

We wish this app allows an easier access to the claim button. Also have the pass button smaller and the bid button bigger. We have accidentally hit pass a few to many times and we dont want to keep hitting the undo button. Overall, we LOVE this app!

Bidding is weak. The computer partner always bids when the only way to win is to have the dealing side not make the bid they are stuck with. The computer will bid with weak trump, 4 low cards, because of some minor meld. The computer partner loves to lead with 10s.

Im 75 and played this game since the 5th grade. Your really need a lot of experience to be able to do an app like this. How do you and your partner communicate your nuances in regards to playing the game. Your not there yet but theres some time coming that you may get it done. Oh and yours is the best one of all the other apps.

We dislike the layout of the cards in the player hand. It would be much easier to read if the suits were together just as a player views their cards in a live game. Otherwise, we find the options very well thought out. An option to buy the game without commercials would be advisable as well. Thanks.

We enjoy playing but we wont give it 5 stars. Over bidding by computer opponents is ridiculous. There is no way to x out of the Wish Shopping ad. Even when we close out and wait 20-30 minutes, the ad is still up. Very frustrating.

Doesnt play lone aces, when playing trump and have high cards play lower card fist. Dont like bidding against partner.

There are some things that should be fixed. Many times computer partner will play an ace on a trick that we have taken with an ace even though it has a card of same suit. Also, if computer partner takes the bid, it doesnt always lead out lone aces and will lose them if the opponent gets the lead.

We found that during each phase of the game, the AI would behave vary weird, doing things that a human would never do. For example, our partner would sometimes bid against us, even when the other team both passed. When taking the bid, the computer would pass aces back to us in favor of jacks around. Just super weird. We got frustrated with it and deleted the app.

Have you ever played the game? Absolutely no bidding strategy relative to scores. Not holding a kicker with an ace. Bidding on nothing. Don t seem to know what a biddable hand is. Melding forty jacks which will generally cost the Bidder 6 lost counters. Etc, etc The list is endless. Leading trump on defense , not making the bidder work for it.

The game did a great job at keeping track of things. So many rules you can tweak, so thats a great feature. AI played as if it wanted to win!
