In order to enable this, you must have the PS4 or PC version of the game. Then in the game, go to Settings > Gameplay, and turn on the Pip-Boy App Enabled setting.

Hear from the Players – PIP-Map: Fallout 4 edition Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about PIP-Map: Fallout 4 edition:

We love this app! It actually has unmarked locations too which was a nice surprise. One thing I’d like is to zoom out all the way to view the entire map. Other than that great job! Please keep the updates coming! Id hate to see an app this good fall behind.

Love this app but we would like to see xbox one compatibility in the future.

This is exactly what we have been wanting: an app that shows us where something is and then helps us get there instead of us going back-and-forth between a guide and the game or a website. Dropping pins for places we don’t have discovered in the game is awesome.

This app is phenomenal. It works seamlessly with fallout 4 and has everything a map application should have. It filters based on your preference, it gives you a way to cross items off once you find them, which removes the location from the filtered view (I adore this feature), and the locations are freakishly accurate. Like most great guide or companion apps, it needs just a little extra to work perfectly. So here’s the big one: it allows you to sync to your gameplay on PC and PS4, which we use both. Only problem is it drops the connection more times than it maintains it. Most we’ve gotten on a constant connection is around 5 minutes, which creates a problem when you’re grinding for all that illusive power armor around the Commonwealth. Fix this, you instantly get 5 stars out of us. A few things we would like to see improved, but not required to get our highest rating: 1) update the criteria on the power armor, not all that are listed as T-45 are in fact only T-45, we found 3 complete sets of T-51b where it was listed to be only T-45. There are 3 places on the map where it’s listed to be T-45 armor where it is in fact leveled. Go there before level 28 and you’ll definitely miss out on X-01. 2) I’d like to be able to filter through vendors in different locations for legendary armor, weapons, and junk shipments for base building. We believe if you add these, this app will be completely polished and without fault. 3) possibly a guide to locating power armor in some of the places listed. Here’s our example: Postal Square, south of Goodneighbor. This app claim to have leveled power armor and a few other goodies. We found the place, we could not for the life of us find the armor. It’s the only set we have left in the entire game. Sorry for the lengthy review, but these are our concerns. Great app, well worth the download.

Doesn’t connect to Xbox one, otherwise it’s a nice map app.

We love the filtering for items and loot on the map, and that you can mark things as found. We also love that it keeps track of your location on the map, but this stops quite frequently. Using on an ipad and Fallout on PC.

Won’t connect to our X-Box one. But it’s still handy.

We got this to use on our Xbox One, but then found out it isnt compatible! It can be useful though.

We paid money for this app and our windows 10 pro wont work on our iphone.

Map doesnt even show the X-01 power armor locations all it show are T45 locations so its not a complete map so its not worth our time cause Im sure its missing lots of other stuff besides the armor and probably dont have the DLC updates.

We saw no issues with the app. Too the people who made this we say good job. Would recommend.

Those one star reviews from Xbox 1 owners are wrong. If they would have taken the time to read the description they would have noticed that Xbox 1 is not supported at the moment. So because of their ignorance they have unfairly given the developers low ratings. This is the best Fallout 4 map out there. It is our go to app when we’re playing and we need to know what is around us or what loot is available nearby. We love how we can check off items that we have obtained. That way when we do a search it won’t show up again and make us waste our time search for an item that is not available anymore. We want to thank the developers for doing such an awesome job with this app.

Appreciate the app. Would like to suggest having the opportunity to mark if you clear an item or area- maybe shows as a different color? (Red) we’ve used it to find things we had missed.

We love the app, but we’re having issues connecting to our xbox one.

We are a very big user of this app this is totally worth a dollar would recommend already shared it with some friends.

The app is awesome. Is there anyway to connect it to Xbox one?

We’ve already recommended this app to friends. Keep up the good work and updates….

Don’t listen to clue seeker below, he is an idiot. He clearly states in the description you can only connect to ps4. And who cares! This is totally worth a dollar! Awesome app!! Love it!!

Read the fine print and save yourself a buck. App doesnot work with XBox 1. One star rated as there were no 0-star options.

If you miss the explorer perk from previous installments of fallout, you need this app. We don’t normally write reviews but we think this definitely warranted one. Kudos to the developer.

We love this app. It has helped us a lot in the game. But it needs Xbox One support like the ps4 and pc has. The pip boy app can connect to the Xbox One this app should be able to. Other than that we love it’s app.

Well, we didn’t want to pay $.99 but its worth it right away.
