Community Insight:
Great game! Really enjoyed this. Lots of different outcomes. Hours of fun for less than two bucks.
This game had an engaging narrative which involved us and forced us to think and ponder some interesting questions in a sci-fi setting with ethical/moral as well as practical implications. Fun stuff.
Really really good. We're not sure the people criticizing it even played the game. Comments about choices not having any impact or storylines that aren't interesting simply don't reflect the game as it actually is. This is a smart, well-written game that rewards players who pay attention.
If you enjoy choose your adventure games, you will love it.
This reminded us of the "choose your own adventure" books we loved growing up, but with better writing. Loved it.
Not as straightforward as some other games. Takes place in a richly described world. Outcomes differ dramatically depending on your choices.
It was alright..ill play it again. And again to see if anything changes..but it's not as fun as other stories like this.
Interesting concept, although a little confusing. Some of choices has no effect on the story (we.e. We chose to stay on the ship, but on the next page we are on the planet), but this seemed more like a bug than poor writing. It was relatively short and there seemed to be many opportunities for choices that are instead just text (like it telling us we chose to become a farmer). Some paths might have been due to the choices we had made, but it wasn't clear from the writing.
We often play Choice of Games but lately we've been playing Hosted Games like Zombie Exodus. We have no problem supporting the little guy and in fact prefer it. But we find ourselves agreeing with other negative reviews. We played the game through once and this was all true: 1) lack of meaningful decisions. We pursued investigating the possible crime the entire time. Not only did we not find anything, the game basically told us we wasted our time. 2) poor editing. It was well written most of the time, but lots of spaces before punctuation. Also there were a lot of really strange thoughts, like "Enough about that" and "Spaceships aren't your friend." 3) nothing happens. We basically fade into obscurity at the end. Sorry for ruining the ending. 4) meaningless stats. We got our enlightened up to 80%, and then after five years passes everything is down to 35% or less. HOW? We didn't make any decisions, mostly just hit "next" and read this short novel. So yeah, it was really long and tried to be in depth, but it was basically an interactive fiction. If there were other endings it must have been through a few very discreet options. We found no relationships with any other characters and felt like we died alone. Ah well.
As everyone said it was not interesting at all. Most of the major choices were forced on you along the way or end in your death. The story doesnt have much character development and your interaction with your team is limited to the workplace and even then very limited.
Just needs more content and it is not worth 2 dollars.
We seldom buy a game before the reviews are out. This game confirmed that habit. The setting is bland and cliche, you have no choice of what character you would like to play, and there are no interesting or innovative ideas that we noticed. The writing is entirely forgettable and beige. Worst of all, NOTHING HAPPENS. The game has you make choices, but no choices have a predictable or meaningful impact on the story. We would definitely recommend skipping this one.
This game seemed as off it was always leading to something but never getting to the point, and as soon as we thought something was going to happen the games over. There weren't enough choices it just wasn't good lol.
