GAMEPLAY
Just like golf, the goal of the Play Nine is to take as few strokes as possible. Limit your strokes by matching pairs and getting a Hole-In-One. Take the fewest strokes and go for the lowest score after 9 Holes!
Each player is dealt eight cards with a discard pile and draw pile at the center of the table. To start the game each player flips two cards face up. Moving clockwise each player draws from either the deck or discard pile and has an option to replace one of their face up or facedown cards. If a player does not want their drawn card they may choose to flip one of their facedown cards for their turn. Players work to match vertical pairs of cards to reduce their number of strokes. Just like the game of golf, the person with the lowest score wins the hole.

Great game, and challenging. We play it every night before we go to bed.
Beware of monthly charges!!!! The game is a rip off. If they charge you anything dont pay it. Youre playing computer most the time and what theyve rise on believable! They lead you on long enough to keep you going, but then youll lose 20 games. Move on to another game thats honest. Now they start youve been from talking to opponent because theyre not even human.
Almost as good as the real golf.
Playing offline is terrible. The computer is so predictable. Love the game but just cant deal with it.
Would really love to give this game 5 stars but there is a big glitch in the offline version that needs to be addressed. After a final putt is started, on occasion, the game will go directly to the score screen not letting us finish our turn. It gives us a score, sometimes we win the round sometimes we dont but we do not get to actually finish the round by myself. At first we thought we were missing something as the screen changes so fast and there is no option to view the last page but started to carefully paying attention and sure enough it happens quite often, once we even had two cards uncovered that were not turned over before the game went to the score screen. Other that that, this is a great game. We might add we usually play offline with 2 players as a want to just play a quick game. We dont agree with the complaints of this being rigged to give the computer an unfair advantage, actually this seems to be the best random play game we’ve ever played. We seem to win/lose about the same as when playing the actual game. The ads dont arent any worse than other games, probably better as most are very short and unobtrusive. We havent run into any of those really irritating ad that hide the X or makes you chase it only to get another ad once you hit it! If our issue is ever fixed or even the option is given to go back to look at the last game screen before going to the next round we will be more than happy to give this app 5 STARS!
Paid the $9.99 for the 1 year VIP Subscriptionenjoyed playing the game without having to use existing tickets, for MAYBE five days. Then, without notice or reason, the tickets diminished for each game we played until they zeroed out and we could not play any longer, without earning or using coins to buy tickets. What the heck?! We attempted many times to activate the Restore Purchases indicator under Settings BUT it did not respond in order for us to access it. We have written two (2) times on the Chat indicator to report this issue & to have our purchase reinstated with the expectation the expiration date would be updated to correct the number of days we have not received the unlimited play. As of today (12/11/2023), we have neither received a response nor had our purchase/unlimited play restored. We resorted to writing this review in hopes it would initiate a response and correction to our account from the people running this app and collecting our money.
Offline is horrible. Computer always wins and gets what it needs to beat you.

Weve been playing the card game for years so try all of our friends, so naturally we were so excited to be able go play any time we wanted. We think existing gameplay issues are currently being worked on, so our only feedback would be that you should win your ticket back in addition to the coins, when you win a game.
Things that would greatly improve the game: -most importantly: the cards arent actually random. Feels like about 80% of our flips are great cards if we’ve decided to swap a face down. Or if you draw a random card and discard it, your flip ends up WAY more likely to be whatever you just discarded. Theres no way its actually random and programmed statistically correctly -designate who is CPU in multiplayer -bring back chat but give people the option to turn it off or organize a report button -randomize which player starts. In multiplayer, the person who organized always has an advantage because theyre most likely to follow a bot in turn order and the bots always give good cards away -teach the bots defense, not just (mediocre) offense -some visual and graphic updates would be nice. Feels like a much older game than it actually is -give people levels based on wins -different versions/rules would be fun. We love this game and it just needs a few things to change for a solid 5 stars, primarily the probability.
This game is good but every time we play offline and the cards are shuffle the cards in the middle deck flips 2 cards at once. And.
If you play off line the game errors out add points that you dont have. It also wont let you see your opponents cards that are flipped. We have reinstalled but still have the problem. This is a terrible bug!!
We enjoy friendly banter on the game and miss the small talk with strangers. Weak, emotional people can just leave the app. Please bring the chat back.
Has been glitching recently, not adding up scores correctly and freezing on the final screen Update: the biggest issue is that if you get a text or call it kicks you out of the game , losing it automatically.
The app works great and is fun . Our only issue is impatient and rude players who want the game to go fast. If youre going to slow for these seemingly professional players, they get mad and send nasty messages to speed up . Other than that , its fun.
Every time we login we go to open the game and it goes to a blank screen.

Love, love, love this game! Our family enjoys playing the card game, and we enjoy playing this online. We dont do the off-line or the online game against unknown players. We just like to play this with our family. With that being said, please get rid of tickets and coins. Just let us play to win or lose the game, track scores and wins. Also, we wish you could pause it.
Game glitches multiple times during multiplayer. Also players get -5 a lot of they are down Update- Game still glitches. This time its with rewards. Sad because we would purchase them unlimited play but that would glitch too.
Crashes all the time after last update.
We used to be able to play without internet connection which was awesome for when we wasnt able to connect to the internet! Now when we try to connect when we dont have internet it kicks us from the game.
Some of those ads are rediculesly long! Other than that would be 5 stars!
This is fun, but the online games glitch all the time. We’ve lost so many tickets we’ve worked to get because of the glitches. They freeze and dont allow people to play. Our chat works and we can all talk about how its glitching for us all, but no one can play. We were up by a lot of points and going into the 7th hole and it glitched out. Very frustrating and a waste of tickets!!!

The game always ends up biased to one player it seems. If youre lucky and get picked its a lot of fun but if youre not its incredibly frustrating and youll likely delete the app.
We have played this card game for over a year but when we renewed our subscription a few days ago we started getting pop up ads. Its not a huge expense but if Im paying for it we would expect to get what we pay for. Ad free!

We love playing golf and this game is great but needs a few tweaks. First please make a setting where you can speed up the turns. The turns are very slow. Also it does seem like our opponent always gets the cards they need at the end of a round.
This is new we have been playing this app for a long time. Now they seem to push an add after every round. We dont know if this is a money grab or what but very annoying.
We like playing the physical card version of this game so getting the app version for the convenience was an easy decision. Most of the time we set up a game and share room code to play that way rather than the other options. The one thing that needs to be updated is the ability of the game to play in landscape mode rather than portrait.
Game drops out any time someone does not have perfect WiFi.
Fun game, but even if you select to mute music and sounds in the game the app still plays ads with sound on as the default.
We have played the game for months and can usually outwit the computer in a one on one game. In the last few days the computer has gotten almost every card it needs and gets 1-3 minus five cards in most hands. There are supposed to be only 4 minus 5 cards in the deck so getting so many makes no sense. Fix this or we will delete the game and stick with the physical play 9 card game! It has been months since we wrote the above and the computer still gets 1-3 minus 5s in most hands. Do you take the reviews seriously or do you sit around and laugh at us. We think it is about time to delete and use the cards, at least we are not dependent on the mental midgets that programmed this game to frustrate players!
Love this game, but right now theres a bug where the app shuts down in the middle of game please fix.
UPDATED: Not long after we left our first review (complaint) of all the long ads you had to sit through after every hole, there was an update to the game and now you can play several holes with no ads at all, and there is more variety to the ads when they do play – some short, some long and thankfully nothing inappropriate. Much better playing experience! Thank you! And as another reviewer suggested, if it’s a long ad, it’s quicker to completely close out the game and reopen it and resume play than wait. ************************* First review: This 30 second Fishdom ad is killing us. After every. Single. Hole.??? Ridiculous. You’re driving people away.
We love the in person version of this game and the app is fun if playing against friends. Question/Suggestions: What is the point of coins? Nothing can be done with them if you have the vip subscription. Im coin rich with nothing to do with them lol Also there should be different levels based on % of wins. There should be an ability to add friends, so if they are online you could see that and when you are playing with friends you should have the ability to talk to each other instead of just chat. Would make it more interactive. Just some thoughts on making the gameplay better but otherwise really like it!
You have to watch an add between every round and the rounds are quick so its quite excessive. Makes u not want to play.

Our family plays a card version of golf so we were happy to give this a try. You dont always win and there are twists and turns. Turns out we dont like losing. Lol.

We’ve enjoyed the game. We appreciate the change in time so people cant take as long. A couple things we would like to see are record logging (wins/losses) and a rematch option. We like to play people with good pace and its a lot more fun when there is competition.
