Community Insight:
No tech support anymore nor can we buy Koins for some reason but it was a game from our childhood and its still soothing to play at 21. Just wish it still had updates.
This game has always been a nice little escape from reality for us, something we can use when we just need to decompress or relax. We love the ambience and peacefulness of the game, as well as its simplicity.
Im 21 years old. We first played this game at 7 at our local day care and fell in love. Ill be honest its the first thing we downloaded when we got our iPad ab a year or two ago. Ill always love this game. Its nothing super special esp to others but Im also autistic so it really does help decompress and itll be a game for our future children as well and long as its still here.
We love this game, Its a bit stressful when we forget to take care of our fish, But other times it can be relaxing to just watch them swim around, Though we did accidentally kill our old fish we were able to reset our pond.
Amazing graphics, fun to play, it doesnt get updates anymore but its still fun.
We love this app. Personally we struggle with general upkeep in our life and this app works on our upkeep chops. If your kid wants a puppy, have them prove their ability to care for animals with this simulator.
Ive been playing this game for several years. Granted we dont have the best fish, or the best ponds. Our fish have died several times but we can always revive them. This game gives us a sense of responsibility and compassion for our little fictional fish lol. We name them and care for them. We sit on this game for hours and grind out the wheel so we can get more fish so our original ones dont get lonely. Overall, dont listen to the 1 stars on here, yall are doing great :).
We are really enjoying this. Relaxing, at your own paxe.
We enjoy this game. Although we do not think it has been updated in a long time. If you know how to do it right. You actually can make money to buy fish with the fish. But it can be time consuming. We do not think this works for the new iPhone 14 though.
We LOVE THIS GAME such a fantastic time waster and we love all the vibrant colors.
We open Pocket Pond (the original app) every morning to start our day. We had this app for over 8 years, through 4 different iPhones. We just enjoy the calmness of feeding and watching the fish before we start our hectic day. Thank You and we hope the company keeps updating the app for new OS platforms.
Downloaded this game after playing Ponds 2 and running out of things to buy. This one has great variety and we thoroughly enjoy the relaxing effect of the koi. This one is more challenging to earn money and the prices are higher for the items than in Pond 2. But with patience and breeding skills we should have 6 ponds in 2 weeks. It is very relaxing and fun to watch the growth. Our granddaughter enjoys feeding and catching new koi.
This game is better than having a REAL koi pond! And yes we used to own one!sorry we could not find a koi emoji, but.
Fun collecting game. Although we always run out of money on the gambling wheel! Haha! The fish are fun to interact with and care for.
This is hands down one of the best games out there. It's peaceful and calming and fun. Great for any age. Five Stars.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! THANK YOU- THANK YOU- THANK YOU- DEVELOPERS!!!!! This was DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT!!! This is one BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, GORGEOUS, RELAXING, & ZEN- LIKE APP!!!!! We can't thank you enough for fixing this!!! This is a DEFINITE KEEPER!!! The POND CHOICES are GORGEOUS! The GRAPHICS ARE CRISP, SHARP, and STUNNING!!! The DECORATIONS, the frogs, the turtles, the SOUNDS, the LIGHTING!!!! WOW WOW WOW!! SUCH AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF DECORATIONS and POND CHOICES– JUST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS JUST LOVELY!!!! We will spend a HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME WITH THIS APP!!! Thank you so very much again– for ALL YOUR WORK ON THIS APP!!!! We ABSOLUTELY JUST LOVE IT.
Hallelujah, it works! And it's great! Love all the new features and graphics.
V nostalgic but it takes alot of credits and koins, so it's more difficult to save up for bigger things. Our fish died after we didn't log on for a few days and we could only revive one of them bc it just cost so much, but good game overall! Super high maintenance though.
We bought 70 coins and tried to get the best bait and they didnt give it to us because it crashed.
We are enjoying this. We are trying to turn our bad morning habit of aimlessly scrolling through the Google news feed to a quick check on our pond, feed the fish, clean the filter, get the daily gift and then get up and live our real life, not goof around on our phone. It is really worthwhile to do the daily gift every day. It gets you free koins and points and only works if you do it for 5 days in a row. We have not had problems with the app crashing. Sometimes the quoted prices for selling a fish are not accurate and that is a little frustrating. It is very pretty and the nature sounds are soothing. There is not that much to do, especially if you are not willing to spend real money to get game koins. As a person who can sucked into spending way more time than we meant to on games, we find that kind of a good thing. In some ways its like a real goldfish bowl. You watch the fish, but not much to do. One downside is that its hard to find instructions on what to do. You have to figure it out as you go, in terms of feeding the fish, keeping them happy, cleaning the filter. If you neglect the app for a few days, the pond turns green with algae, the fish die and you have to pay to revive them. We were surprisingly sad when we let that happen.
Our wife loves fish (aquariums, hatcheries, in ponds, in lakes, etc.) and finds this app (Pocket Ponds) fun and relaxing. Heres what she told us: Im not big on in-app purchases and have plenty of patience, so Im enjoying the daily gifts for slowly building up various points and things. Watching fish is relaxing, and since we dont have space for an awuarium, we searched for an app and found this one. Our one disappointment is that it doesnt take advantage of the iPhone haptics to allow a vibration when you let the fish nibble your finger. Its fun to breed the fish and see what the new ones look like, and we love that they get bigger over time. And we like how they get playful at times, flipping over and swimming faster and slower. We also like how you can see the algae (?) building up if you dont clean the filter. We look forward to eventually visiting other ponds, but mostly we just like watching, feeding, and playing with our fish.
We really like this game. The graphics are unique and beautiful. It seems very hard to get koins at first, but once you get enough to start spinning the wheel then you can easily win 10 koins at the cost of 3 about 90% of the time. Once you start accumulating koins easily, you can actually enjoy the game by decking out your pond and patio as well as breeding for the type of koi fish you want. However, you also need a lot of credits to get nice things, and the best way to get tons of credits is to fish for the most expensive koi in the mystery pond and then sell them. Its easy and fun once you get started. We GIVE THIS GAME A 4/5 STARS BECAUSE we wish there were more environmental options. :) overall a nice game; we love our fish.
We love the way this app gives you a feel of really looking into a pond. We wish that A) it was easier to win coins/credits/points… The way to move up is sooo slow and the shortcuts of spending money are sooo expensive. B) there should be a hibernation option so that if you have to leave for a few days, you dont come back to a pond full of dead fish and a hefty fee to revive them. Thanks.
Pros: prettier graphics, can sell things you discover you don't like, frogs & turtles more interactive, birds less annoying, not required to use Facebook to interact with other players. Cons: buggy. Your internet connection needs to be solid, or the app will crash, or lose your changes. Also, we can't do anything to our oval pond b/c it crashes every time we try to change anything about it other than fish, turtles or frogs. We can't even sell it. Differences: The fish look less real to us than the ones in PP2, so we don't find them as interesting. It's harder to make game coins, but it's still possible, and takes longer. Sometimes we like all the patio options. Sometimes we don't. Either way, we find the game can be very soothing after a long, stressful day.
We enjoy both the old and new games.
We would give this game five stars if it would stop crashing. After purchasing pond number eight every time we touch certain patio merchandise on the right side of our pond or in the top center the app instantly crashes. Help please.
Couldn't create a user name. Must choose a premade one. Went through so many. Can't play without this step. Deleted the app. Looks beautiful.
Very expensive ( credits)to breed fish, buy items, buy fish. Why soooo many freaking credits?!Little glitchy, Im getting fish swimming through border, game doesn't always acknowledge that we have done things on friends ponds, bought bait never got fish, game crashed, lost coins and fish.
Im using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. That being said the patio function does not want to work at all. Ill drop a patio decoration and lost will just vanish. We have a pond and its floating in a sea of large turtle shells or other random leftovers from a Grateful Dead acid trip. Ive reached out on the Facebook group for help and didnt get any. Hoping we can get help here. We dont terribly mind not being able to access the patio fun. But we are a little upset at the waste of coins to figure out what we cant use. Would be nice to have an update to fix this part of the app. But we do love the fish.
The game is fun but theres not much to the store. Theres very little to buy.
We love the game, but the offline mode does not seem to work. This makes it very difficult to check on our koi daily. Secondly, koins are so hard to earn, and so scarce. Maybe you could think about making them a bit easier to earn? Or start out with 20 of them, so you have something to go by? This has really set us back a good bit, and we are only level 4. Otherwise we love this game, it is really relaxing.
Update Feb. 2, 2019 Im very upset because our game started crashing yesterday every time we tried to open it. We can login to the game on our wifes phone, but not on our phone. Ive tried every possible suggestion made to fix it, but nothing works. We contacted the app guy, but havent heard back. Ive spent some money on this game and want to keep playing. We absolutely love this game and play it way too often! Its really fun visiting other peoples ponds and feeding their fish. One thing we hate is the way fish die if not cared for enough. Its depressing visiting ponds that sometimes are full of dead fish. Please change this!!! We also wish it were easier to accumulate coins without buying them. Its frustratingly slow to move ahead in this game without spending money and Im getting close to discontinuing because of this. Please lower the price of coins needed to move ahead. Also, it would be great to get coin rewards for helping take care of other peoples fish. In spite of all this, Im addicted to this game.
UPDATE: Apparently the app is connecting to the server (miracle?) our fish were all dead. Cost us all of our coins & had to buy more to revive them. We wouldnt mind it if the developer WOULD UPDATE THIS APP!!! Seriously! A bit of compensation would be nice! :/ really disappointed. (Original)-our fish are going to die. We cant get into our account. The app keeps crashing or wont connect to the server. Ive been taking care of our pond for almost a year & now its going to be a total waste. Really disappointed.
Recently developed a connect issue. Please fix.
It crashes all the time and lately it wont even load. Trouble connecting with server. Id be more annoyed if we paid for it.
We want to at least migrate our points and coins from a game that we have played (and spent real money on) to the new game. We can see the new fish are beautiful and the game, though somewhat the same will take a little adjustment time but it's just different, not harder. There should be a way to migrate things from the old game to the new – since we've invested a lot of time in the old game – maybe because the graphics are so different we can't migrate the old fish, but we should be able to get credit for them – some of our fish are 3 years old and worth a lot of coins. Give us a way to save at least in some fashion what we have and we would rate this 5 stars, but without that, it's only 3, at least from a player who is frustrated with losing 8 ponds, 64 fish and multiple levels.
We do enjoy this game we started playing 10 years ago when we had an apple so imagine our surprise when we go to use our restoration code and it fails. Then we go to purchase credits and the purchase works but we get no koins. So, other than the lacking of support updates and response to missing credits when purchases have failed and the loss of actual money and you are looking for a long trudge through a very good ambiance of colorful fish this is your game,.
The game is fun enough, but we bought some koins and they were never credited to our account. We emailed the developer and received no response.
Now, for some reason that we have downloaded it on our brand new iPad. The features such as the trees and rocks do not appear. They are blurry. But we can still see the features on our phone. So this game needs to be updated big time. We would not spend any money buying fish or, whatever.
We play the Koi Catcher and we buy the 60 coin bait and then it took us out of the game we went back in and lost all our coins and we had gotten nothing.
All our fish and designs all gone re did and still not working right . So we had to delete it.
We are constantly buying Koin and Credit, and about 20% of the time the app tales our money, and dails to add to our account. When we do successfully add Koin and Credit, it ofter lets us revive our fish, withdraws the koin and credit, then crashes w/o reviving our fish. Pretty much over it at this point. Tired of being ripped off.
VERY GLITCHY!Especially the bait shop. Freezes constantly. We even have to restart both phones ,iPhone 8s just to get out of bait shop! Bad enough you need to spend a ton of real money just to get ahead.
The fish cost too much and so does the decorations for the ponds shorten the prices;).
Still calming and very slow to earn koins if you dont have money to spend.
To laggy and wont let us play past the first instruction.
We got Pocket Ponds when we found out there were no new updates to PP2. We had PP2 for 7 yrs and was at a high level and had a very nice pond. We bought a new IPhone and when we got the game from the cloud we had lost all our sound effects. How disappointing. Sadly we had to delete it. We felt almost like we were killing our fish. We now have Pocket Ponds and we have worked up to level 12. However we have few coins or points as early on in the game we had accepted other people and one had gifted us some rare fish. We accepted what we thought was a nice gift in our small pond to find out we had to use our coins to receive them. Then when we received them we found out They were worth nothing we couldnt breed them without spending more coin they were only giftable for more coin and they filled up our pond. We eventually let them go and kept only our common fish. We go to other ponds to see that they have 4-6 ponds and tons of neat things around them. One person in our group has so many gnomes, frogs, turtles, ponds, fish, bird houses with birds and butterfly grass with butterflies,we wonder how they got them as some of these items are spendy and no one earns enough coins or points to buy that much. We still dont have enough coins to purchase items that we would like even though Im at a level in the game Id be eligible to. Ive played other games where you friend enough people that when you visit their garden, farm etc, you earn points, give free gifts of things for their farm, garden and accept gifts for your own as well. This game is not like that at all. Evidently all one can do is like their pond and clean their pond. If you go to your pond, your fish are happy, and healthy. Then 10 hours later, they are still pretty healthy but no longer happy. So you make them happy, but the next day they are dead because they went from healthy to dead in less than 12 hours. So frustrating.
Really like this game but it messes up a lot. Severs go down so you cant log in for days, your fish die through no fault of your own and the app makers do not respond to anyway you contact them, social media, but reports, email etc. Use at your own risk but dont put any money into it.
Our fish are dead now, all because yalls server was down and we couldnt get into the app. We cant afford to revive them because its so hard to get koins. We are not happy.
Ok, what happened to this app. We have been using it for a long time. Now, all of a sudden, the app wont connect to the servers at all! We have it on three different devices and none of them run any more. Since we still see it available here maybe it is just broken. Nice job! Addendum: So here we go. The server is back up. All of our very rare fish are dead and you are wanting a ton of money to revive them. This is your fault not ours so why am we being charged so much to get back to where we were. You had better correct this or we for one will be dumping your app forever.
