We played a bit when we were younger, and its just as entertaining as we remember it. A surprisingly fun and addicting game for how simple the concept is. One of the better idle games out there. As far as complaints go, we think more content could really invigorate the game. Perhaps adding more cities to Africa, various simultaneous events instead of just one, seasonal content, and just more content for end game players. We would also love to play this on our PC. We would gladly purchase it for $2 with ads/$10 ad free. Overall, great work! Something about Nimblebit games really work well on iOS. Definitely something to play around with when youre bored.

Please revamp. We dont want this to end.

Great game its the best train game we’ve played personally but the game now is just frozen and its just the music playing we just need help figuring it out.

Pretty good game. Have had it a few years.

Dope game that existed for years.

This is a really good game and we highly recommend it for people who want to learn about trains. Its not all realistic, but its pretty accurate from what we know. We love how you can have more than one train! Its amazing and its so fun! We know this message isnt much but we really do love this game. It really makes our day a good day. Keep up the good work, NimbleBit!

We’ve been playing a week and Im getting the hang of it now. It was tricky at first because it was a bit confusing but now that Im used to it, Im excited to see what we can do next in the game. Its nice that we dont have to buy a lot of things to advance in the game or that Im bombarded with ads either. We love the other nimble bit games so Im excited for this one!

Pretty fun though like many of these games, you need to buy some things to enjoy it long term. Still cheaper than most video games new.

The game was a bit of a drag before the few in-game purchases, but only getting the permanent one time VIP purchase and the occasional lost and found, you can get pretty far compared to going through f.t.p. We really like trains and its a charming 8-bit railroad tycoon simulator, and with having a full time job, its definitely something we love to spend while taking our 15s and 30s.

Great game we’ve just been playing a while and once you reach a certain point it just becomes repetitive and there doesnt seem to be much to do after that. But its fun for a while. Give it a try.

Not worth the time of downloading cant even get by the first 5 minutes of the game cause nothing happens when you have to go craft just bugged and stays there.

We cannot play the game. It is up for less than a minute then closes without saving whatever we have done. Real frustrating, we enjoyed the game before it started doing this.

We loved this game but now every time we try to play it crashes. We cant even get one train to go.

Just leveling up to get the rewards requires watching a video for every reward. Greedy devs here. Uninstalled.

We love all of the nimblet games. We wish we could play it on our PC, too. It is so fun and cute. We love the little Bits!

Love this game and we play pocket planes too but yall should make a version with semi trucks.

Playing for a week or so now, along with Bit City, and Pocket Trains. We think Im addicted.

One of our favorite games by far. Easy to whip out and play, and if you choose to play more strategically really gets you thinking on what trains should go where (especially if you limit yourself to one line per train type like we did).

Pocket Trains is a lot more engaging than Pocket Planes thanks to the puzzle aspect of transferring cars to reach cities on other train lines that was absent in Pocket Planes where only a planes fuel range needs to be considered. However, at higher complexity transfer operations, it is hard to keep track of plans for where all of the trains are supposed to be or which line they are supposed to transfer with, and we’ve had to resort to repeatedly renaming our trains to remember what they are supposed to do. What we would change: Add better functionality to the Station menu while at a station. Right now, it only includes stockyard capacity options. If it included a list of incoming and arrived trains as well as the option to switch to said trains, then this would make the menu much more useful AND improve game navigation so the player doesnt have to repeatedly tap the top arrows to scroll the trains or, if they are brought to just the empty station screen, have to scroll the list of all of the trains just to find the one they tried to switch to from the map. Add notation options on the Train menu while at a station. These could be checkboxes for actions like Wait here, Go to <choose city> which brings up a list of all cities along the line, Transfer cars with <choose line> which brings up a list of all other train lines that intersect with this line, etc. In addition, these options when checked could display a small corresponding icon next to their name when it shows up at the top of the station screen, in the all trains list, etc. (and checking transfer with another train line would also check that trains checkbox and have it display a corresponding icon as well). These are not meant to change the gameplay but only to give the player better ways of remembering complex operations from session to session. Allow the Train menu to also be accessed if it is in transit (with options limited appropriately, ex: remove option to add fuel cars or swap engine while it is in transit) Add car capacity (specifically, the forecasted car capacity once it reaches its final destination) to information displayed in the all trains list next to the fuel information. Nonetheless still our favorite Nimblebit game.

Its a good game. Very developed. But we wish they could add more places or trains or just something cool like social but its a good game.

We’ve played this game for a long time and we just absolutely love it. The inclusion of the lost and found was a wonderful idea and we use it often. The money you make also scales so that you never feel as if you are making less money than you need or that the time spent grinding is increasing. Well balanced game overall. Will continue to play for a long time.

They should make more updates to pocket planes but both games are amazing.

If you are being paying for medicine or therapy for depression, you dont need to. Just buy and play this game. Of all our games on various platforms, this is the most relaxing, pleasant, no pressure, best one. We have been playing for years. We connected all the cities, 56 trains. This is a great way to escape all your problems and relax your mind for a while.

This is a pretty good game, but we honestly still prefer pocket planes, and we wish Nimblebit would update it. Its been 4 years since the last pocket planes update, and there is still a large community playing it.

We do like the fact that the game itself provides rewards for sitting through ads, though at the same time, this game is not showing ads that are not showing the game the advertiser is sharing. This in turn, falls under False Advertisement which means that the adverts present in this game, and possibly other games, are deceptive and do not show actual gameplay of the game in question of the ad. Please correct this whenever you can NimbleBit.

No wonder this is the editors choice. We love this app! It is so easy to manage and use. Some trains are slower, and some trains are faster. We really enjoy playing this game. Especially because it requires minimal time as soon as all your trains have taken off to the station turn off your phone and wait for the notification. We recommend this app for anyone who likes video games (at least people who is like creating and expanding video games).

Great game. Always a lot of fun. One issue, though. The max job value ad doesnt work correctly. Jobs placed in yards so that they can be transferred to another train sometimes lose value especially if you close the app. Sometimes, the value even decreases mid trip. We had cargo going from Ulaanbaatar to San Francisco that was over 3,000 coins and by the time it reached Berlin it was worth 1,200 coins. By that time, only 15 minutes of the 1 hour had elapsed. Please fix if you want us to use this feature.

Add an 1870s American engine! It would be an awesome addition to the game!

We had started playing this game a while ago. We stop then we started again. We wish it was an option to get old files now we have to start our game over. We still love this game after not playing it for five years.

Its a extremely fun game to play, can play it at our own pace and its not showing us a add every 30 seconds. Its not pay to win, yes it takes time to build up a network but its worth it when it all works together. Yes you can buy crates and special crates for money, but even then they are pretty cheap for the amount of them you buy. And you dont even need to buy Buxs either. You can stock up on cars worth lots of them and then deliver them all at once and get lots of buxs easily. Very fun game, not littered with ads, does not require internet to play, does not require paying for content with real money to play. And also does not require you to pay money to play the game to its fullest.

This game is a great game if you want to start your little railway, but if you want all the trains all at the start, this isnt the game for you. The experience is a nice pixilated representation of rail routes through different countries, and has great soundtrack.

More connections over water routes? I.E. New Orleans to Havana? What about adding other cities?

We played this years ago. Last weet we were searching on ios and remembered this awesome game again. Now we are playing again like crazy.

We love the game for its simplicity of use, but complex strategy for optimal use of resources. This game is easily playable without IAPs and the free gifts for watching ads are nice to help boost your fleet.

Been spending more time on this game than we should. After all these years its still here like an old friend, and still being updated by the devs!

As a toddler or little kid we’ve watched the Thomas and Friends show and always thought that it would be fun to run a Railroad. And your game lived up to that hope! Its also a great way to kill time. The only thing that we wish you guys would add is the ability to assign more than one engine to a railroad to get more trains and cars delivered at a faster pace. Other than that you guys have made a fun game!

Lots of fun Good way to pass time.

We have played this game off and on for the past 7 years. So many great memories. The game is so simple, yet so fascinating and engaging. We would recommend this 10 out of 10 to anyone.

Nimble Bit has struck a great balance here. It is completely possible to play and enjoy the game without spending a penny. The premium currency comes at a rate that does allow for growth. However, that fact alone makes us feel like its okay to make a purchase. And the one time VIP rewards, instead of ridiculous weekly fees. THANK YOU. As for gameplay, its fun and passes the time. Lots of strategy in sending cargo around (well, for an idle game). We cannot recommend it enough. Thanks Nimble Bit! (Now please bring these quality of life features to Pocket Planes!)

The simplicity of Nimble Bits visuals is nostalgic and beautiful at the same time. The game gives you a sense of building something over time, as well as incorporating geography and resource management. It can be as simple or as logistically challenging as you want. Also, unlike every other free mobile game, Pocket Trains does not force annoying ads on you. You can watch them for lucrative free rewards, but you can play the game ad-free if you want. This is how mobile games are supposed to be!!!

We’ve played this game off and on for years. Its a great game to play at the end of your day. We know for us, moving the shipments from one city to the next is enjoyable and relaxing.

We just did the update and have now lost all of our progress. Id made it to Northern Europe. We also had both the pumpkin train and fuel car, as well as the peppermint train and fuel car. Is there anyway that you can help? We’ve been playing this game for years and initially had an account backed up on mobage(had a droid), then stopped for a bit. Started playing again once we got an iPhone and we would really not like to have to start over a third time.
