Recent Updates & Development
Latest Update: 6th January 2020
Recent improvements include:
It has been literally years since the last update, but today is the day, we’re fixing various issues identified by players, specifically levels not loading. Also enhanced the level selection screen to show the little paging dots. And a new setting has been added to move the user interface away from the edge so it is more playable on devices that don’t have a home button.

Community Insight:
We have been playing port defender for years, and it is still the best tower defense game in the iStore.
Purchased Port Defender is so good! We really like all the extra available tower upgrades that are available during the game. That and the optionally longer levels really keep the game going longer when you like. Relaxing, challenging, and fun all at the same time. GG.
Game doesnt fit the screen on new phones. But still the best tower defense game. Been playing it for years.
When trying to move an item from the bottom row into the field, it opens all apps on the iPhone. During quick game play this is very jarring and frustrating. Move the row of items up a tad so that this doesnt happen.
Bought years ago and still (occasionally) playing.
Fun and easy with a lot of room to make your own mazes. One thing, on the map "tile overlord" we're not able to build any towers. We're pretty sure this is a bug. Please fix it. Otherwise a good buy if u like tower defense games.
Game play is addicting, love the game.
Very enjoyable for a tower defense game.
Easy to forget how long you've been at it.
Works great. Love the super upgrades.
Started with the lite version, upgrade was well worth the purchase.
Actually very cool! We can 'testify' as an old-school gamer that this should please several generations of avid gamers.
A very good tower defense game. Addicting, challenging and entertaining.
We play a lot of tower defense, and this is really wanting. Hard to control interface, pointless "admin" structure, and worst of all inconsistent in the waves. One's score should improve with experience, not fluctuate at random.
Another great game ruined by hackers giving themselves impossibly high scores just to have their "name in lights." Won't be playing this game again.
Really good spread on the maps with tuff enemies.
It's not a bad game. Good deal at $.99.
We like it but we don't see how the admin is really used.
This used to be an above average tower defense game before they changed everything. Now we'd have to say it's somewhat below average. They took away the best map and changed the look and feel to the point that it's really not the same game anymore. We find ourselves resenting the loss of the game we enjoyed so much. We felt good about buying the original. We wouldn't have bought this one. In a way they cheated us. We bought a game and paid for it and then they pulled a bait and switch and gave us a lesser game. Yes we do realize that wasn't the intent, but it is what happened. We wish we could get our old game back. Barry.
We've been waiting for a long time for an upgrade and now we have it! Continued fun for hours.
The paid version offers little that the free version does Not worth the price of upgrade.
This game never gets old. We can honestly say its the best game on our iPhone hands down.
Love this tower game. Don't like the Admin concept though – not a tower.
We love this game but it needs more maps. There seems there r few bugs that needs fixing.
Good game, we just have one problem. We can only place towers on a few maps mainly the ones from the lite version. If you could fix that, that would be great.
Best update and very awesome game but make more maps in next update.
Always been a fan of port defender, and we're glad to see another fabulous update! Only problem we've run in to is after logging in with Game Center and after finishing a map, we get stuck on the Posting Updates screen. We're on iPad 2 w/ iOS 6. Other than that, fantastic update.
This is a fun addictive game! The latest update added some highly needed new maps and music. It unfortunately also came with a few minor bugs and we liked the old graphics better, but still the best tower game available in our opinion. We knocked off one star because we lost our previous in-app purchases, e.g Fun Mode.
Crashes constantly on iPad mini and save restored is corrupted. Annoying 60 waves in. :-(.
Great game spending hours of fun. Please more maps.
Best tower defense game for the iPhone.
This game is fun and addictive. Hours of fun.
Overall, we really enjoy it. The only TD we probably play more than this is Towers and Trolls. There is an audio bug. When resuming a paused game after the iPad has been turned off (sleep), there is no sound.
We don't think ADHD exists, and also this app is great. Watch our new movie rock of ages Tom Cruise signing off.
The guy who pops up after every round is funny.
So far a great game, we'd write more but we got to keep playing.
Love it and can't stop playing it.
Love the extra speed options. Good job.
Great graphics and great fun. Worth the price.
It is simple and yet challenging! Loads of creep smashing fun.
Love the massive amounts of destruction.
It is challenging and relaxing, sort of. Thanks.
Love this game. Keep the maps coming.
Lots of options. Great way to pass the time…if need be.
It's such an addictively fun game, we considered giving it only four stars because it has the capacity of straining marriages and steady employment.
Great way to pass the time while on the train. Very high replay value.
Best game since field runners.
We love it we're inspiring you to make more machines and for people who what it more harder we literally play it all day long!!!!! :b.
Can't stop playing this game more addictive than angry birds.
