What Makes Pow-Word Stand Out
Update
Starting from version 19.0, Pow-Word now includes a new swipe based interface to select letters for making words. You can also revert back to the earlier block based letters, from the Game Options menu at any time.
The objective – Form as many words from the given set of jumbled letters in each round. Your score is carried forward until you are unable to form the longest word within a round.
Simple controls and a host of features make Pow-Word a very addictive game and a great way to improve your vocabulary.

Too hard to see the words and letters.
Nobody wants to mess up their phone's volume levels just to play a game. Especially for a game requiring thought, silence is golden. How difficult can it possibly be to add sound controls in the game? We're deleting this app. Its a shame because we like the relaxation of games without a time limit. But, The sounds for this game are extremely annoying and totally unnecessary. If you update and add mute option we will definitely reinstall and rate five stars. UPDATE ONE WEEK LATER Oops, our bad. This developer is terrific. We thought there was no mute option and sent an email. We got a very nice prompt reply from him telling us where it was located (in our defense, it was really tiny way on the upper right of game screen instead of in the options menu :) we love this game not only due to that. There is also an option for untimed play which we like for relaxing. Also the option for seven letters was just added. There are lots of anagram-type games out there but this one is the most flexible. Kudos to a very thoughtful and attentive developer. Thank you. Your efforts are truly appreciated and we wish you much success.
We love the idea of this app, it's fun and makes our brain think! Our only issue is the word lists!!! We lookup a word we miss and it doesn't exist, it's very frustrating that we have to just guess at letter combinations for random nothing in the end. Would be our FAV if they could fix that issue! Overall a lot of fun.
Pow-Word has been stable and elegant in our testing. It's fun with passable graphics and decent sound feedback. The high score implementation is great. The problem comes from the wordlist. Although these words may "officially" be admissible, they're nothing more than gobbledygook to 99.9% of the population. This leads to a bunch of guessing about letter combinations. (Anyone who argues that point is either a linguist or has an obsessive-compulsive relationship with word games. ;) Overall, a fun and stable app. Nonetheless, having more control over the wordlists would be a nice addition.
The new format is harder to read as well as maneuver. We doubt Ill keep the app, there are so many others.
All scores are gone. Used to be fun but now we hate it. Started acting up a week ago. Even when we get 100% right gone.
Could you put a ads free fee up, we will be more than willing to pay.
The letters don't fall back in the order put up on the board, there's no button to put up the previous word so it can be added onto, some words aren't in their dictionary so the board won't accept it, and you have to click on a letter to remove it so you have to move your hands away from the buttons at the bottom, the keyboard is too slow in accepting letters; all this wastes time. Everything needs to be streamlined. This version is not ready for prime time.
This gets five stars even though it keeps crashing and throwing us out of the program at the end of every fifth or sixth round. When this happens our progress is lost, and it's very frustrating. We're running 4.1—is this an issue with that? Also we'd love an option to continue coming up with words after the timer runs out—or to run without timer on occasion. We're fine with our score ending when we don't come up with the six-letter word, but we'd still like to try to come up with the words on our own. We have no problem with the ads; but, if you fix the bug and give us some control of the timer, we will purchase the full version anyway. P.S. Is there any way to turn up the sensitivity of the letter tiles? We find ourselves sometimes needing three or four tries at it before the letters we type register. At the very least, a way to remove just the last letter typed would be cool.
You'll pick up the basics very quickly and thoroughly enjoy this game. Our favorite feature: the game saves automatically so that the next time you play, you can pick up from where you left off.
