Hear from the Players – Preston Sterling Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Preston Sterling:

This is a good game. We like the story and the puzzles. The graphics, music and voices are also good.

Very fun, wish there was more. The intro music when you first open the app sounds exactly like a car commercial and we had to laugh at the bad guys voices at the end. Wish there was a part 2.

The only game where preview pics are pretty much the whole game lol. This game has no ending. We spent like 2 hours or even less just to find out its over. And it doesnt even seem that its about to end. We were waiting for the loading screen to continue and it just poped the end. Glad we didnt have to pay for it.

This is so SHORT. But it’s entertaining for that short amount of time. (Like an hour?) Especially if you love when your stories don’t have any resolution. One last thing (just a nitpick). In the last area, you walk into a room that’s been sealed for centuries, and find some LIT torches. The whole time, your trusty lighter is in your inventory. It would have taken one tiny clip or required action to light the torches, to make it somewhat realistic. Oh well.

Interesting story idea but very short and not very difficult. Went through the entire thing but overall it was mostly not that engaging. Puzzles pretty simple, which is okay if you just want to chill with the game. If you’re looking to really challenge yourself, though, it won’t satisfy you. Found the controls for the running and "maze" portions to not be that great. Not the worst one of these, but certainly not the best so can’t recommend unless you get it for free.

Okish graphics. Silly story. Annoying "movement" puzzles (where you here to use a virtual joystick to move your character to avoid ‘obstacles’) or worse still, "runner" type ‘action’. Just three locales is all you get, the abby (2 scenes), Cornwall (3 scenes) and France (~4 scenes). Games ends in the middle. No resolution. Bad guys win and you lose the sword. Pointless. If you can get this for free then ok, but please do not even think of wasting any money on this insipid, borefest. Took us about an hour from start to finish. Yup, that’s it. The game promises a sequel. 3 years later non is forthcoming. Guess even the developers gave up and lost interest…

Very short. Not enough characters. Voice over level of all other than the lead are poor.

It must deleted from app store so it is Short story, very bad graphics, difficult to control player movement, and above all, this is a paid game. Luckily we tried it during the free demo period because it’s not worth even one dollar.

Complete waste of time. Watch for coming episodes. And do what? Graphics are great, however. Thats it.

So happy we only spent .99 on this game. This is by far the worst point and click adventure game we’ve ever played. First off, it didnt make sense, even looking at the clues it didnt add up on some of the puzzles. No tutorial, no help at all. Extremely short, but was actually happy when it was finally over…. Was so bored. Usually love these people and love all their games… Wouldnt recommend and wont play again.

This is a "find the next object to advance" game made in a 3D engine. Sometimes you’ll have to play third-person view, stealth or avoid-the-obstacles games, that make this game unique (as far as we know). The graphics are beautiful as is the soundtrack (specially the close-up of some steps and the final song). The story is easy to follow (maybe too simple?) and the ending is typical of this games. It can give you around five hours of entertainment (depending on how many times you are caught in the stealth and obstacles scenes). We would recommend this game to everyone at a price of no more than three dollars. Developers did a very good job here.

Owaoo! What a game!! Passing wonderful leisure with this game, thanks for it.

Really a good game. Features, sound, graphics everything are awesome.

Thank goodness we only paid .99 cents for this game. It implements annoying, tedious mechanics or controls when you are zooming up to read text, acquiring objects, and performing skill based actions. It’s a time waster to have to click several times to access either the text or the action function of an interactive area. It also took us two days to get the character through the underwater area. There should be a skip button for games that players do not wish to spend too much time on. There are no voiceovers, which detracts from a full experience of the story. The story is interesting, and the graphics are very nice and clear. But as another reviewer said, it is more like a chapter of a complete game; it’s very short. There are better and longer games out there.

Nice visuals. Easy puzzles. Pleasant but playable in < an hour, really? Must be aimed at those with a short attention span.

We can’t get through the safe in the office. Nice soundtrack and graphics, though.

And it ends with us not resolving anything! It was like a "primer" first chapter to get us excited for future PS adventures…. Well, you lost us. Not excited.

Just when it seems like the characters are about to move on to the second half of the adventure, the words "the end" come up on the screen. Really? Did the developers just up and quit in the middle of this game? Or are they that clueless about how a story works? They got the beginning, they got the middle, but completely forgot a story needs a real ending. We were expecting the last screen to tell us something like "part two coming soon", but instead it advertised a completely different adventure game with the same character. We are very glad we paid no money for this and will definitely not be paying for another game in which this protagonist can’t complete the adventure or get the girl.

This is a complete rip off! There is a bug in the first scene and we can’t advance because our key won’t open the clock like it’s supposed to (as shown in the walk throughs). We’re reporting the issue to Apple and requesting a refund – you shouldn’t be selling something that isn’t playable.

It’s absolute trash. Live and learn. Couldn’t get past the safe in the office despite getting walkthrough help. Spoiled by Big a Fish. Steer clear if this crap.
