Community Insight:
So, when we came back to check up on our game, we say that our progress got reset to the first stage, we think its been a couple months since we played that game. But its still infuriating that something like that can happen.
This game is so so good! Complicated enough to make you think but not too much to freeze you up and make you quit. Its an amazing game that really brings you into the story line with it and makes you feel all the stakes.
We have enjoyed the well thought out puzzles the devs have created but we are on puzzle 16 and it will not recognize the correct # code answer. It just says we do not understand . We finally checked to see if our answer was wrong and its identical to the one the hint gave. The worst part, and our reason for 2 stars, is that we have looked everywhere to find an email address to report the issue to and we cannot find anything for troubleshooting the game.
This game is way different and its puzzles are awesome. It got us back into ciphers and gave us hours of entertainment. We wish there were more games like this that made us stretch our brain to figure out a puzzle. We wish it had 100 packages like how Hybronia said they would but 54 will suffice for such a great game. Well done.
As someone whos always looking for mystery or puzzle games to play, usually with some sort of story attached to it, this was the perfect game for us. We have already played the first Project Void game and we cant wait to see if another game like this will be made !! In our opinion this game is a great challenge for people looking for puzzles associated with ciphers or interactive ways to find solutions. We dont think this was too difficult to be impassable, but they definitely arent too easy as well, as a high schooler. Anyways, amazing game with interesting storyline.
It says destination host has an erroneous ssl certificate we cant even get past the front page we deleted it and got it back and it still says the same thing.
When we finished the first Project Void, our only complaint was that it was done too quickly. So we were excited to start this game, knowing what the developers are capable of. When the puzzles are on, they are spot on. But finding one that gave the excitement of solving that the original PV did, was only about one in five. In the first third or so of the game, we were stuck in a nearly endless loop: poor quality video, code, five letter password, rinse, repeat. Even the quest-giving NPC expressed impatience with it! We almost uninstalled the game at that point. Instead, we made it as far as Chapter 3 before uninstalling. We dont play puzzle games for the story, true, but a consistent and engaging story is the backbone of any good mystery. The writing in this has the feel of being written by a high-school freshman: random for randoms sake, inexplicably melodramatic in parts, obnoxiously ret-conning for no reason at all, stilted dialogue, and with a flimsy sci-fi plot that doesnt succeed in holding it all together. High school freshmen have potential as writers, but most have a long way to go before theyre publishable. The puzzles are the thing were in this for. Some are really expertly crafted and make you feel like a genius when you crack them. Some though, arent codes when they say they are (like the pencil one another reviewer mentioned) some have unnecessary red herrings thrown in (do we need a picture of the library door, for example?), some have inconsistent clues (is it 2 minutes or 5 minutes?), some have worthless or no hints. All in all, it felt like it was off to a good start, but the rest got rushed and forced out too soon. We got some enjoyment, but mostly annoyance, out of it.
The story of the game is pretty interesting in kind of a spooky way, but the integration of video is pretty frustrating as the video is much too choppy to be very helpful. Also the thought process behind some of the puzzles is less clever and more borderline-cheating. For example, there was one (which Im currently stuck on) where youre given a number sequence on a piece of paper. We asked for a hint and it turns out its not the number sequence at all, but the pencil the guys pantomiming letters with. There no indication that the answer has anything to do with the pencil, so we guess its just one of those things you try when you get desperate enough. But hopefully some kind of update will come out where the pieces fit together a bit better for puzzles like this one. Thank you.
We really liked the game at first, and enjoyed the original too. We dont know if this is a new bug or something but we cant hear any of the audio files. At first we thought we had to change the frequency or something and when nothing worked we got a hint. It said to disable the low pass setting, however this did not work. Our volume is fully up and functioning for every other app/site. We have an iPhone 11 if that helps. We like this game but its unplayable because of this.
This game is not fun. The first version of this game was great and was just challenging enough. This second version is too reaching with puzzles that are too vague and not fun at all. Dont waste your time.
We just started Chapter 2 tonight and theres some issues Ive run into while trying to navigate the app. The main problem is the browser function. The browser window seems to be way too big for our phone screen, and we cant scroll at all to try and use the search bar. We also couldnt zoom in on one of the pieces of evidence, not sure if it was just that piece or if thats a universal lack of functionality. The other part we miss between the first and the second game is the notes function. The notes in the first game were so handy for decoding because we could transcribe the code and then usually copy and paste it into wherever we needed it in the browser. Its a shame to see that function go, so we hope they bring it back. Im writing all of this in hopes that the developers will read it and maybe make some changes to improve the game. Id definitely be willing to change our rating if the game got some nice needed improvements. In its current state, its fun and not entirely unplayable, but definitely not as nicely self-contained as the first game. Still recommend the first one, and we imagine Ill recommend the second one after those bug fixes. Edit: the developer was super responsive over email and was able to fix the bugs we were experiencing after we sent screenshots. Now Im working thru puzzles again. Thank you for taking user feedback seriously! Definitely recommend playing this game and supporting the creators.
