Entered numbers too small to see Couldnt even get clock to stop or anything else for that matter when we finished the game Number choices should disappear when all are entered we paid to have no adds before we played a game. Dont make that mistake, play first. You might not like this app.
There is a highly distracting flashing link above game purporting to give you a chance to win such valuable prizes as an iPad Pro if you fill out a review of Amazon. Its a scam. The makers of this game obviously dont monitor their content, or are in on the scam.
Ive played app this for years, and when we ran out of all the puzzles, we reinstalled with this version. What once was our favorite app, is now absolutely horrible! Between every sudoku – every one – a pop up ad appears for another games, which covers the screen of the current sudoku. Yet the time still runs down on the puzzle while you wait for the stupid x to appear on the pop up. Dont bother with this app. It used to be great, but now others are much better.
Adverts at the start of the game steel time from the game and cannot be cancelled in some cases for up to 10 seconds. They spam the game that you cannot start playing.
We love the game we wanna play it all the time.
Simple, low or no ads, and doesnt drain the battery like some others.
Our fondest hope is that the developers will release a follow on version with a new set of puzzles.
Nice app, but dont like the variable size pencil marks.
Great game, however, the lack of landscape mode on iPad means we have to hold the iPad in portrait mode with both hands to play. This becomes uncomfortable after a while. We prefer being able to use the iPad with its Smart Cover case on a side table (or plane meal table) and play without supporting the iPad on our hands. Any chance well get a landscape mode any time soon.
Iit Ian that good was f a sudoku app. The interface is kind of Kano, but it was goths puzzles were good enough that we paid for the full ad-free app and the biggest problem is that it keeps nagging us to rate it in the App Store completely ruining our sudoku solving zen state. Also, and maybe this is a coincidence, but the review typing screen for a one star review is white text on a white background so we cant easily check our one star review for typographical errors.
Hate the new update! When we tap a block it gets dark! Cant see the number we just placed ! Please fix it! Was five stars but now Im giving it one.. Fix the problem and Ill change our rating back.
Like other reviewers, we absolutely love this app. We dont really play games on our phone, but this app gets a lot of our attention. Its thoughtfully designed, the puzzles are the right level of challenging, and the interface is clean and easy. The newest update is driving us crazy though! The pulsing dark shading on the square youve selected makes it very difficult to see any notes youve made and removing the horizontal and vertical highlighting is now less intuitive. Also, it used to subtly shade all other numbers on the board that correspond with the number youve selected (select 4, all 4s on the board are shaded). This is no longer here, either. Super frustrating! At the very least, give us the ability to toggle these settings on or off so we can customize the experience. We just stopped halfway through a game in frustration so we could write this review and its the first app review Ive ever written! 5-star app all the way, but Im taking one star off because of these changes.
The animation that darkens the selected box was slowed and maybe darkened. It slows down analysis time. When playing a timed game those seconds count.
It was great before the update that made the box you are working on fade from black to gray so you can't see what you have in the box. We play the game for time as well as fun so we don't have time to wait to see what's in the box again as it changes from visible gray to non-visible black. Please change it back.
We really like that its so clean just Sudoku. Unlike other reviewers, we wouldnt like more bells and whistles except as options Id personally decline. Two issues Id note: Id prefer some indication each time of where we stood. We assume that sometimes our times are too slow to be included in average (although wonder about this when we have Masters games <12 minutes). But in any case, would prefer to know something like: the average time x people completed this game was y When you discard a puzzle for whatever reason, that puzzle comes up again in the the next few. But these are very minor issues in a wonderful game we spend entirely too much time playing.
We enjoy that its so streamlined and easy to use without a lot of weird colors and flashing things. Its a great alternative to the basic paper sudoku puzzles we grew up with. Its everything we hoped the app would be.

We play this all of the time, all levels. It has all of the features we like in Sudoku – the ability to pencil in possibilities and we actually like the ability to put wrong answers down without getting alerted right away.
We love this app. It is simplistic like the paper one and you get your time as well as a comparison against others who solved the same sudoku. The only improvement we would like is a dark mode. We like playing this before going to bed and dark mode would make this experience even better.

Lots of puzzles, good mechanism, and a simple design.
We experimented with perhaps 15 different apps here and this has the most intuitive interface and the best selection of puzzles. Perhaps unfortunately we've become addicted.

We agree lots of puzzles at different levels. Good to know where we rank on the puzzle we just completed. It keeps us coming back.
Thats all we would say. Design very good, not perfect. Havent had issues with locking up. Some pop-ups but not excessive.

Recently the sudoku games just shuts down and we have to restart with a new game. Its frustrating to lose a game youve almost completed. This has happened numerous times recently. Game must have a new bug as this never happened before a few weeks ago.
- No indication of numbers already finished. 2. Should be able to touch once to place a number. Otherwise, clean and simple design. We like it; a few tweaks will make this great.
We love the simplicity of this app, but highlighting the rows, columns, and blocks every time we select a space is super annoying. That feature may help some folks, but it interferes with our ability to see the whole board. It would be great to have the option to turn that feature off. Thank you.
We do a lot of Sudoku apps and this one has two things that we don't like: 1. You have to double tap the number to have it placed correctly on the screen; 2. Unlike all the other apps we've tried, this app doesn't indicate when that number has been completed on the board so it takes extra time looking for numbers that are completed. Fix those two things and we'll give this app a five stars rating.
Was the best sudoku app until the Purinas ad starting to appear without touching the screen. Cant play a single game because the ad never goes away. Too bad this turned out this way. Might come back in a week. Or is this a way to get our $1.99? Hmmmmm.
We like that it will time you against the average of other players, and that it will mark errors if you need an assist.
We enjoyed using this app. It gives you features to help and do the monotonous work, however only scores when it is attempted without help. We prefer to have it tracked, and play was easy, smooth, with out glitches. Plenty of puzzles in several difficulty levels. We would definitely recommend this app.
We loved this app so much, but the recent update is not good. The flashing when you select a box is overwhelming, and the new font is not as easy on the eyes as the old one. Please remove the flashing.
