Very nostalgic we missed this game as a kid.
Not the same as we remember it, but the cake game is sooooo fun! Purple place is a great game if youre bored.
We had to download Purple Place to relive our childhood again when we used to play it on our family's upstairs computer. It only has 3 game modes and we got bored fairly quickly. Turns out it's not the game we miss, it's the life we once had. We will still give it 5 stars beacuse we technically already reviewed it when we were a child and should've known what to expect.
Our inner 3rd grade self would have been so happy now that Im 23 we dont care about the price Im loving it very nostalgic.
Im so happy we can download this game, this was our favorite game on our old laptop when we were a kid.

This used to be our favorite game as a kid, and they did a great job turning it into an app. Maybe its not so difficult or not enough modes, but its also been 15 years. Of course its not so difficult Its a great game. We were giddy when we saw it on the app store.
Anyone who doesnt give this 5 stars doesnt know how amazing this game was on windows Vista. This game was our childhood when home computers were becoming common.
Just as fun as the original. Yeah, the graphics are different (slightly), but come on, guys! This game is OVER A DECADE newer than the original, so OF COURSE its going to look a little different.
We loved this game way back then <3 just that its pretty boring theres barely anything to do. Otherwise great game.

It was purple place lite. They have 3 places (the bakery, school, and shop) none of the other old games. :(.
We feel like the game needs to be updated. There is no challenges to the game as a result of winning a level.
We bought this because we wasn't able to find it on our pc. We bought this thinking we could enjoy these games again, but it doesn't have the same features. For one, the cake advanced level used to have you make multiple cakes at once for a real challenge, but instead you make one at a time. Plus, the textures are not the same, so we get cakes wrong because of this. If you played the original, you would understand. Disappointed by this.
Definitely made us relive our childhood, but its not like we remember. The original had levels and even the sounds are different on a few things.
Needs more levels not worth 1.99 for 3 games with only one setting, hope we get our moneys worth with an update.
So glad we got to revisit our childhood through this copy! It's definetly a copy paste of the original but unfortunately it's not as challenging and fun as it used to be.. The original purble place had levels and got harder as you went on but this one just repeats itself. Still so comforting and nostalgic.
Its fun for 5 minutes then gets boring.
The game is ok, it does not have the same visuals or the same noises which already takes away all the charm it had, it is kind of boring because there is no hard mode, not really worth the 1.99.

This game is amazing !! We got it to relive our childhood and its pretty much spot on however our game had a couple glitches that made it hard the dress up game none of our choices would register , it would never show certain features and for thr cake game sometimes it would register touches we didnt make.
We love this game but we feel like the old version is wayyy better than the new one in our opinion even though its the same in all but we still like the old version one way better.
Not at all the same. Okay fine its pretty similar but the art style is too new, the games are just a step or two off, and it just isnt what we played 15 odd years ago. We know im being harsh but it breaks our heart a little. If you just want a game thats sort of purble place then buy this but for our two silly dollars we were hoping for a slightly more faithful replication and should have stared at the pics longer. However. Im sure the developer isnt the guy who owns purble place technically and they probbos had to change it. We jsut cant. Its not the same.
Lowkey we were so excited when we saw this but it aint nothing like the original like lowkey we were expecting the same sound affects or At least close to the old characters but nope we use to play this game so much but we cant cause this aint kinda a replica, can yall change the sound or characters specially for the cake game we beggggg.

We dont even know how to begin, but something feels so wrong about this. It plays nothing like the peeble place we played as a child. We dont understand why fully, but its just not right. Something is off about this game. Im sorry to the devs.
We absolutely adored this game when it was one of the few game options of the time, among solitaire and minefield. For years Ive yearned for another chance to play the cake game, hear the sound effects and see the flying clovers we were so excited to think we could finally relive those fond memories, however, this recreation hasnt met our expectations, whatsoever. At first we thought $1.99 was a modest price for the revival of the Purble Place we remember, but this game simply isnt it. Although most of the visuals are wonderful, we feel a lot more effort could have been put into the actual gameplay. Ive never purchased a game from the App Store before, but we really got our hopes up. We dont understand why or how this game could be worth the two dollars.
Wouldve been a lot better if they didnt take advantage of the nostalgia factor. Clearly they read everyones 5 star reviews talking about the nostalgia it brought and realised they could make money off of it. Pretty pitiful. We downloaded this when it was free and was flabbergasted it was $2 when we told our friend to download it. Inflation even be hittin the games now.
When we first found out about it (4 yrs old) we played it we had tooo much fun but then we lost it when we were 7 but we just found it and now Im 10 im still having fun thank you purble place.

We used to play this game as a child on our grandmothers computer and loved it! Recently we saw an ad that was similar to this game and it brought back memories. So we started looking for this game but we couldnt remember the name. But Ive finally found it and its just how we remember it! Ive had so much fun playing this again, its just amazing.

This game brings back memories from elementary we used to play this when we would go to the computer lab we miss this game tbh made alot of us happy back then hope kids still play this.
This was our favorite out of the 3 purble place games when we were a kid and they did a great job re-creating it. But its missing something that makes the game harder and less boring. On purble place, as youre playing through medium and hard levels it drops place mats you have to build on before you finish a cake and you cant ignore them or it counts as a wrong cake order. On this game it only gives you another place mat when you finish a cake order. It made it too easy even when playing on hard mode. As it stands it doesnt give enough of a challenge for us. We know the game is geared for kids and not 20 year olds but considering that this is a remake of a game from our generation we think there should be levels geared towards adults too.
We are really sad they do not have the game purble place anymore but here is a replica of the game we remember playing this when we were 3 on our great aunts computer and recently she has passed away and purble place was her favorite game and ours too but this game is great but its just not the same.
When we were little like around 4-5 we used to love to play the game and we loved it because of how it was made but now its very much different and we want it to be normal and restored to its old self please.
