    • Eye level Camera
    • First Person View Camera
    • Stabilized Gimbal Camera
    • Follow Camera
You can walk around while flying, looking at the quad either by dragging the middle of screen or by enabling accelerometer button on the left side in the Eye level Camera Mode..
  3. Return to Location (RTL)
When on the Quad will automatically Return and Land back in its Landing Position. It will Automatically switch on when the Quad goes out of range.

  4. Position Hold
When ON the Quad will try to Hold its position when both control sticks are released.

  5. Course Lock
When ON the Forward, Backward, Left and Right will remain same regardless of orientation of Quad. e.g. Moving Right stick Forward will always make the Quad go forward in East Direction even if its pointing towards north.

  6. Home Lock
When ON the Forward will always be Away from you and Backwards will always be towards you regardless of Quads Orientation.

  7. Heads up Display(HUD)

  16. Google cardboard Support for immersive virtual reality and FPV experience.
Make sure that you have a controller attached to the device because the only way you can control the quadcopter is by controller once the Cardboard VR is enabled. After enabling you have to gaze at the buttons on the UI and press the trigger button on the cardboard to click it. Once you are flying then pressing the trigger anywhere will open the settings page. You can also touch on screen anywhere to execute trigger event instead of pressing the trigger button.

  17. Max Tilt Angle / Auto Stabilize Sensitivity Slider
In Normal Mode the slider changes the Maximum Tilt angle setting. This settings determines the maximum roll / pitch angle the quadcopter will tilt. In Sports Mode it changes the Auto Stabilize sensitivity. The higher the settings the more force is applied to stabilize the quadcopter.

  18. Acro / Acro 3d mode for expert flying
Auto stabilize will not be applied in these modes. You need to be expert to fly in this mode.In 3D Mode is mode in which the Quadcopter can fly upside down also. The throttle sticks will produce reverse thrust when moved down from the center position.

Hear from the Players – QuadcopterFx Simulator Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about QuadcopterFx Simulator:

We don’t really review games but we’ve gotten into drones and this game is worth the money it feels like you’re flying a drone it’s not easy but it’s not hard it’s just right it’s a great game and worth the money.

This is probably the most accurate drone sim we have tried. Is it hard? Yes. Is it just an easy game? No. If you want to fine tune your control inputs, use this app. The challenges are good. Of course actual flight experience is the best. But learning how the advanced flight dynamics of a drone and it’s compounded axis’ work is very important. It’s much more complex than an airplane when considering all the combinations of direction. $5? Worth it to us. You want an easy game? Find another free app.

We love this app for training. Helps us stay on edge so we don’t wreck the real one …

Awesome especially if you’re trying to get better at flying.

This is an awesome app with great physics. Are the devs going to release Apple TV app for this? That would cool with a controller.

We love this simulator and its really honing our piloting skills!!! It would be amazing if this game supported transmitters like the Spektrum Dxe that can connect to your phone through the audio jack.

The graphics may be very rudimentary, but the mechanics seem very real. Having just spent $800 on a nice drone, we have been very timid with it as we don’t want to crash it. They can get out of your control very easily if you’re a total noob. This app is awesome to gain some confidence and try some things before you go out in the field with the real thing. It really does help train you how to use the real thing. Some additional maps – like adding an urban area would be great, but the $5 is a tiny investment to make so you don’t crash your $500+ drone. Well done guys!

If flying quadcopters is your thing, thenI highly recommend this simulator.

Great way to improve your skills. We love all the modes. We fly a phantom 3 and this helps us fine tune the perfect flights.

Best quad simulator on the App Store, but needs racing quadcopters. Needs more speed!

We purchased this app after nearly loosing a relatively low-tech toy drone on its second flight. If you’re new to flying drones without any training wheels (gps, compass, position hold) or not very comfortable flying FPV, this app will make you a better pilot. While the graphics and scenes are limited, they did get the physics right. This is an awesome trainer to get comfortable flying manually or in "sport mode" without having to recharge between flights or losing hundreds of $$$ with every crash. This was money well spent. It would be cool if the programmer could release some additional scenes. Also, being to toggle between day & night would be awesome (the app only has daytime flight scenes).

Check it out it’s great for our grandkids they want to learn how to fly quads we found this and we think it’s perfect for people who want to learn how to fly quads specially our grandkids that are 11 years old and older.

Gates or some type of fun environment with colors. The maps are so full and boring. 5 stars if u add better maps.

Great App! Now that we’ve tweaked the settings and got some practice in Im ready for a few more scenes. We would even pay a few bucks for a package vs. Buying our dream, the DJI Mavic Pro. You gotta love the return home feature. Thing about this quad, you never have to replace broken parts.

Physics feel good, with a physical controller and a large screen (lPad pro) this rivals the big boys running on desktop boxes. The only thing we would like to see so far (after about an hour on our iPad mini) is an option for course lock in any direction (I can only use east as a course for locking), and better gimbal control in flight. We highly recommend this for practicing camera maneuvers on a DJI bird that otherwise takes lots of battery to learn.

We used the onscreen controls and it was almost perfect. We were able to customize to our preferred controlling method and change camera, which you have like 5-6 choices. You also have many variables to adjust. We tried almost all the free ones before we realized they were garbage and cave in to purchase this one, and we are glad we did! You want a feeling as close as possible in hopes to avoid accidents in real life and this one delivered. Don’t waste your time with the free ones.

We still love this app, but it could do a better job at simulating racing copters. Have an option to keep PIDs going at 0 throttle (air mode). Be able to select different propellers. A pine wood forest map would be cool.

It really helped our piloting skills. We wish there were more scenes and a movie mode that would record ones flight. Still great though we look forward to updates for it.

This drone piloting app is fantastic! The physics are well simulated and the control is responsive enough to fool us into feeling like there’s a real drone up there. Of course the only problem is this simulator is just a starting point. There are only 3 UAVs, and 4 small scenes. Granted, the fine tuning of drone responsiveness & wind allows for a bit of variance; and while the industrial area is a great close-quarters line-of-sight sim; and the boat area provides some fun scoping out hot chicks on moving vessels – it all leaves much to be desired in terms of challenging flight opportunities. We sincerely hope the developer continues to update this great app – it is very enjoyable and a great way to hone piloting skills without burning through 200 batteries, obliterating tens of thousands of dollars worth of crashed drones – and running from the cops when that high-speed nose dive doesn’t quite level off in time and collides with someone’s yacht. Great job! Keep going!!

Ill rate this app higher if u fix da VR feature. While we can link any controller via Bluetooth, having 2 figure out which button 2 press 4 VR capabilities is frustrating. We linked a PS4 controller 2 our phone and tried 2 press every button 4 VR. Fix dis! Its been around 4 years since ur last update also?

The sim performs well and, we think will be a great trainer. Its the best we’ve seen in terms of simulators on the App Store. Good graphics, good options, and fun. For the time being, we left it at three stars because the function (that turns out to be reason we wanted this app) doesnt work (VR/google cardboard). We have an iPhone 7 and all the specs. When we click on VR, it just splits a green screen. Looks like a glitch. If this gets fixed in an update we would give this app 5 stars.

We have been looking for anything to practice flying our spark. So far this seems to be the closest to practice you can find. Unfortunately, the maps are quite boring. The challenges are ok but end too soon. We do feel this is a great way to practice flying a drone but it is difficult to find any interest in these plain maps.

This app is super basic, got bored after 10min of playing.

Got this to practice fpv with some Google cardboard goggles and a satechi Bluetooth analog controller. No luck. No response from developer. Great sim but thumbs on the screen is really not the same. If we get any support, we’ll edit the review.

We wish the developer would allow you to change the settings instead of having them be locked, like the total thrust and sensitivity settings!

The app is nice if you just want to use the touchscreen. But, if you want to use it with Google cardboard or virtual reality along with the controller, forget about it! Google cardboard mode does not work nor does it work with the controller.

This app stinks don’t buy. This is a waste of money. If we could do zero stars we would.

We just wasted $5. We bought this app because it worked with Mac and it was supposed to be compatible with all drone controllers. We thought that meant we could use one of our drone controllers with it, but we were wrong! Just stupid controls on the screen that providd an experience that is nothing like flying a real drone. We pribably should’ve just tried the free version first. Unless we can use thix with our real controllers, this is just wasting space on our iPad.

Was excited to get in some stock time on our phone but the Bluetooth controller doesnt work with this. Please help!!

Ok… So we use this app on our android phone with our frisky controller and it works… But on our iPad, this app doesnt recognize any controller at all…. We need our money back!!!!

We downloaded this version for our iPad. Launched simulator and display appeared for 2 seconds and crashed! Relaunched it several times with the same results. Tried to contact website support without going through facebook to no avail. We are not on facebook. We would like it fixed or our money returned.

Dissapointed. We were able to connect our controller but am unable to get the VR working (my reason for purchase). Dont make the same mistake we did!!

We love this app. The more experience you get flying the better, this is the best way to learn, unless you like crashing your drone. Our kids learned on this before we let them fly for real. This is a great simulator. It’s hard to do and so is flying a quad, it takes practice, a lot of it.

Excellent app to learn RC drone flying.

We fly real quadcopters with FPV and it’s the best attempt of a app aimed at simulating what it is like. However, it doesn’t have the locked in feeling of Naze32 cleanflight with PID 2 Oneshot damped light motor timing high in Horizon mode and maybe Acro. Usually we can tune the PID’s too high and it will start oscillating or we can tune PID to stop rotation almost dead on (not much over correcting in Horizon or very quick correction). Same as P then we then D. We like the recent update of Sport. It’s feeling more like Acro but unsure of YAW. If developers, take a look at Naze32 code and PID controller 2 (Luxfloat). Watch on YouTube. Thanks for update!

It was a great app before the most recent update. It has basically been made so the auto stabilize messes everything up. We tried a lot, but it’s not as good as before. 3-31-2015 it just doesn’t work before it was 5+ star app, now it’s like 1-3.

This recent update has ruined the game! You can’t do flips it just flips out like crazy when upside-down.

This was a 4 or 5 star app when we first installed it. The GFX weren’t great, but it was the only sim we could find with various FPV modes and the ability to turn auto stabilization off. The new update added the ability to tune PIDs which we thought would be great, but it’s impossible to tune the quad. Now in "manual" mode, it either acts completely erratic or functions as if in stabilize mode. The developers had a good thing go, but this update was a back slide.

Seriously you need to fix acro/rare mode otherwise this app is useless. App was key for practicing and now its dead. You know what you did, please fix.

Cant tune the quad anymore. Try to tune the pid and everytime we try to flip it tries to autolevel… But auto level is turned off… Was a 4 star app, sadly now a 1. Thought it was better when the sliders were blank cuz we remembered what each one did. Now its garbage.

We’ve been flying Quads for a few years and we even have simulators for our computer that cost $200. The physics on this app is amazing and it really feels like we’re flying a real world Quad. It is great for training. We hope you guys come up with even more maps! One question, is there a way you can connect a controller to it rather than using screen controls? We see the option in the menu but not sure if it needs a special cord. We tried connecting with the headphone jack but no luck. Wrote the developer and never heard back.

If your hunting a great video game with exciting graphics look else where,,if your wanting to put the games away and fly a real quad, you have found the right place,I have been flying rc (planes) for years,,doesn’t mean we’re going to pilot a quadcopter without smashing several to pieces,,in fact we now own 4 and we CAN hover around somewhat,,but our brain needs stick time,,,for the price of this sim,,very recommended,,it works,,the sound is decent,,lots of realistic features like altitude hold, position hold, return to land, wind speed/direction,picture in picture close up for when it flys away and gets tiny,HUD display, fpv view,a nice desert scene without a tree in site,,I need that,,multiple copters,,much more,,only thing we’re having trouble with is not feeling our thumbs on an actual stick,,but that’s getting easier,,main thing is it flys like a real quad in the real world,,lock the throttle/altitude and fly roll pitch and yaw till it gets boring, then take the throttle back and start showing off,,surprised to see so few reviews here, anyway we’re retired 60+ yrs old,you keep your brain young teaching it new tricks,,need to get practicing,,,,they really did a nice job putting this thing togeather,,,,,,,get it,,,,

Have struggled with our new drone and become very good at crashing and retrieving. We have no previous gaming experience. This simulator just made learning an enjoyable experience. Big plus, the settings. All our crashes on the simulator are exactly like the real thing. What more could you ask for. Thanks for a great app.

Got this after we ordered and played while waiting… This taught us how to fly.

This is a very nice realistic app for quads, great for training. Needs more scenes.

We own a quadrocopter and was looking for something just like this to help us get comfortable with the controls. This is a great, all in one app with lots of realistic flight conditions. Nice simulator with no required additional in app purchases.

This app is great for training yourself how to fly quad copters without stabilization and also how to fly a more modern onwith GPS and barometer that fly with an automatic hold. Are you specially like the feature of flying FPV and having the option of having a fixed camera or one that is on a gimbal. We really think that this is a great FPV trainer. Some improvements that we would like to see are better graphics for the newer generation iPhones and iPads, more flying locations and the ability to fly more commercial aircraft such as those by DJI. GREAT APP!

We don’t usually write reviews but it should be known that this is probably the best quadcopter sim out there. It is extremely useful for practice flying and allows the user to fully adjust the flight parameters of the quad. The maps aren’t half bad either.
