A Glimpse into Quintet

You’ve always dreamed of shouting "Fire the torpedos! More power to the shields!" I have too, and this is why I built Quintet.

Quintet is a multiplayer space game where players work harmoniously to control the same ship. There are 5 roles: Captain, Helm, Tactical, Engineering and Science. How successful you are will depend on how well you all work together.

Quintet is especially fun to play in the same room with friends. Don’t be shy about playing out your roles in person and using strange accents. There are also one, two, three and four player ships available.

Other Great Features:

  • Desktops, Laptops, and iPads can all play together on the same ship.
  • Players ships can play with or against other player ships.

Note:

  • Gameplay requires an Internet connection.
  • Quintet is graphics intense! Runs best on iPhone5 or iPad 2 and up!

We don’t know why more people haven’t played this. It is fantastic. Especially for any of you Trekkies out there.

The graphics have improved a lot since we last play and the ships are AWESOME.

Best starship bridge game ever. Period.

This is a phenomenal game, a dream come true for Star Trek fans that want to fulfill your dreams of commanding a starship, provided you have friends. But our only problem was setting up a LAN server on the pc… Haven’t gotten it to work yet. Difficult. Global servers will work for not, but sometimes we feel we want to play this game with our friends and no one else.

When we were first introduced to this game, we had our doubts, but after playing countless battles with our close friends in combinations of multiple different ships, our doubts had been dispelled. The new ship system might add another dimension to gameplay, but also might ward potential players away due to their complexity.

Okay look, we haven’t even played the game yet ;D and we know IM GUNNA ENJOY THIS, PEOPLE AMKE MORE GAMES THAT ARE CO-OP. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

Let us start off by saying this is in our top 5 favorite iOS games even though there are relatively few players online. Once in the lobby you have the option to deploy your own ship or join one already in a server. There is a pretty sizable list of various scenarios to choose from. Every station on a ship has its own responsibilities and communication between them WILL make a huge difference. Theres even a button on the screen that, when held allows you to record a voice message that automatically plays for all of your teammates. The gameplay is incredibly smooth. The mechanics and controls are intuitive but complex enough that you are able to adjust your tactics. Since the game was only just released there are just enough players online at any given time for unique games, but once the game becomes popular (and we guarantee you it will) Ill be able to say its our all time favorite iOS game. Haven’t encountered any glitches yet, but our fingers are crossed.

This game is really fun with a lot of people. The new stuff added with this update makes it even better. It doesn’t work on our Iphone 3GS but on an IPad or on the computer it is really cool. Get some friends together and destroy all the drones.

Every time we play nothing fits on the screen so we can’t join or log in or anything.

Looooove how it allows you to do stuff like in the movies.

Lots of fun, coop multiplayer, nicely done, great price for what you get.

This game as so much potential. But there’s no players!

Great multiplayer/cross-platform game.

We play a lot of board games and this was one of the best co op games we’ve played. The need for synchronized communication is unlike anything we’ve seen. We even managed to get our mom (who despises all things video game) to play it and she loved it. Even taught our brother how to play. Can’t wait for the improvements.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST GAME I’VE GOT.

We love this app alot but can’t figure out how to play on the computer.

Seems like a really cool game, but it needs a tutorial to explain how to play. Maybe we’re just dumb but we can’t figure out how to play.

Hard to control and needs some instructions how to play…

Unfortunately its unplayable on the 3GS. It lags in the menu to the point that it’s a frame every few seconds, and the buttons are all pushed off screen so we can’t select anything.

This game is unique, and a must play for sci-fi fans. Each ship has spots for five crew members, each player in a role. So you can have for example twenty people playing together in four ships. Game play is different for each crew member and you must work together. For example, science officer scans a ship to detect its shield frequency, relays that info to tactical officer who adjusts laser beam frequency to shoot through enemy shields. We play with co workers after work. It’s easy to get a crew because anyone can play, this game works on Mac, pc, iPad mini, iPhone, iPad, etc so everyone can play together and also people join remotely via Internet too. Once playing ships can fight in a battle royals, or play coop to protect a traveling cargo ship, and there are more missions. It’s a unique game because of its role system and we hope to see more games like this.

Just downloaded this game, was linked to it on the Artemis forums and its actually better than the post made it out to be. Very similar conceptually to Artemis only not as technical. Helm control is awkward, would like to have the option to invert X as well so the ship could be piloted like a boat with a rudder. Played on an iPhone4s. Only attempted Training Mission. 3d atmosphere can be difficult to navigate, would like to request 3d direction be added to the targeting arrow.

Does anyone have a ship we can join?

Don’t even work, it just says launching and the game never starts just keeps bringing us back to menu. They’re no open servers so nobody plays this odd game.

We are a big fan of this game and its fun style of gameplay but the game has not many players.

Great idea, pretty good execution. That being said absolutely no one plays this game so its useless. We tried multiple times to play multiplayer and only once was there one other person.

How am we supposed to rate it if we cant play it?? We cant open it without crashing. Needs fixed.

Opening splash screen comes up then just exits out of the app. Tried restarting phone, reinstalling, and using a different device and no change.

This is a beautiful game! Totally worth it!

The base game quintet is amazing, as a sci-fy shooter with rp elements it makes it unique. But if your brave enough to get the addition to the game it unlocks multiple gamemodes as well as a standalone game more focused on the RP elements of it. Great game and would love to see it rise in more players. We hardly spend any time in the base game and now spend all our time in the RP expansion Project Elpis.

This app is amazing, it handles really well, and it looks really cool. Our one concern is that it doesn’t work that well on our iPod touch 5th gen (laser repeats the countdown without pressing button, frame rate isn’t amazing, but can be kinda fixed if you go into the options tab and lower the graphics quality). It’s odd though, because it runs great on another iPod 5th gen and an iPhone 6. It’s almost perfect, just has a few bugs it need to work out!

This game is really nice when you have friends or not but the game crashes a lot and no we don’t think it’s our device because we use an iPad and we wish you could use the trio but it only says its for specific levels that you can’t do because those levels are for computer so please make the trio available and fix the glitches.

Game was working well, prior to mandatory update to 14.1 and associated iOS update. As is often the case with Apple, updates often fail to improve. Hope you get this fixed soon.

This game is awesome and we think you guys keep going like this your going to give EA a run for their money as far as game quality. But in the latest version we are not able to play the game for some reason and this bug needs to be fixed in order to play this game. Thank you for reading.

We have played this game on PC and it is awesome but with the newest update for the mobile version it black screens on our IPhone 5s when we launch our ship.

There’s a bug on the iPhone six and on the iPhone 6 Plus that makes a black screen whenever you try to join a game or make a game try to get this fixed but otherwise great work on the computer version.

Was pretty good until recent update. IPhone 6 plus now gets a black screen after ship creation. Re downloaded and reset phone with no joy.

When’s launch it stays on black screen for hours! Our iPad is a iPad air.

The menus work fine but try to start a solo offline game or join an online game and when you launch, the game fades to black and does nothing. According to reviews this is a common and known issue with the 6/6+. It’s also several versions behind the PC/Mac versions, so, this wonderfully cross-platform game isn’t cross-platform as it seems later version clients would backwards-connect with these older mobile clients. Between these glaring issues the game is not in a playable state. Looking forward to seeing a patched version.

Quintet is like a miniature Star Trek! You HAVE to play this game with friends, a great bonding experience when you eject them >;)

Great game, but no longer works since v14 was released for pc. 5 stars otherwise.

Seems kinda early stage, fun game, but needs more optimization for iPhones.

We have this game on our PC. It is the same great game, it has crossplay, and the UI is rather well made for touch devices. The steering circle is a bit small (on our Ipad, we would not want to play on a phone) but other than that the design is great! Unfortunately, we get ridiculous frame lag on our iPad. Our friend has the same problem on his iPad, but not on his iPhone. We do not know what the problem is, but we would very much like it fixed.

This game has so much things to do which makes it more enjoyable.

This is by far the most sophisticated iOS game and it epically and seamlessly bridges platforms. Also it has the best dev team ever! Constant updates! No bugs. Don’t miss this!
