Community Insight:
This game would be better if there was a little bit more, let us give you a example…if there was land troops it would be more fun that way (we dont care what other People think its what we want in the game)and if you could take over cities in side the countries and territories that would be great (for us at least) Have a good one ~someone.
This is amazing and very realistic! Very worth the price.
We love DEFCON, and we love this. It's a perfect way to play DEFCON mobile. Incredibly well done.
This a faithful remake of the old defcon game which is about 10 years old and on steam cough cough. But this game has so many issues and its too bad. But this game needs an easy mode and or some serious balancing fixes as is its extremely hard to get into and actually win. This comes down to the controls even on our 8 plus we cant zoom in and out fast enough selecting units is also terrible, and compared to the original game on a keyboard and mouse. As a result the game is extremely difficult for the wrong reasons and we cant recommend it at all. This game needs to get some fixes.
Im not sure if this is commentary, or a bug. To get a nuke to a city, costs around 600 credits. Building four naval carriers costs that much as well. The thing is, if you capture a port with a carrier, your income goes up. You can re-use the carriers, but you can't re-use a nuke. If you remove a player's navy from the map, they resign. Destroy all the navies, and all players resign. There's seriously no reason to use nukes, ever.
Not that great has a good concept but everything is to expensive and you quickly get overwhelmed by the AI.
We love playing defcon in the pc. In this rendition it has the look, but the controls and placing units on the map are a pain and not enjoyable at all. It's frustrating and maybe it's just us, but the controls are not fluid in the least.
A DEFCON wannabe, very poorly executed. Has the right idea, but huge parts of the game are inoperable. For example, unless you form alliances this is a ridiculous free for all–but in our (purchased) version, the alliance screen is dead. It offers "Make Alliances" or Break them, but it appears to be unfinished. Waste of money.
We suggest that you outline the border of every continent As the colors of its city ex: purple, red , blue etc. Make it feel more professional.
This here is the best RTS game on the market. It would be cool if they added ground troops too. But over all great game.
This is a very scary and realistic depiction of a war gone terribly wrong, developing into a world decimating nuclear conflict. The graphics are beautiful and detailed and the sound effects set the mood perfectly, making a truly chilling and tense atmosphere. Well done.
Terrible game mechanics and too complicated.
It's a great game for an iPhone. The first RTS game actually worth playing fun and easy to play total worth the money.
Very good game we recommend 200%.
We absolutely love it! It certainly takes a while to understand how the game works and what you need to do in order to win, but its well worth it. It lacks clear instructions and controls, and has some weird movement mechanics as pertaining to units. However, despite the difficulty and minor issues regarding ease-of-use, its still a blast to play and a faithful remake of DEFCON.
Number one it needs a practice mode so you can practice your skills, number two who in the world did you hire and thought it would be a good idea? To have the player be hit from all sides because last time we checked, we are not AI lol number three why does it take so long you to build ICBMs airbases meanwhile the enemy can just spam ICBMs this game is hilariously a joke. The truth hurts.
The credit system needs to be removed or give the player more credits to build units. Other than that major issue, this looks like a good game.
This is a really fun game and Ive played it a lot since Ive bought it but it just feels too hard. From the start you have to use your ships to take bases in the sea to earn money to set up defenses and better ships which spreads money very thin, but the ai always seem to have a infinite amount of it even if they have only one base. Ai overall are just better then the player. When the game starts to allow nukes it seems like ai have 3 missile silos and firing them rapidly, by that time in the game we have barely gotten enough money to set up 2 or 3 defensive weapons. It might just be Im not that good at it yet but thats our experience with it so far and other minor things.
The player can reuse battleships and destroyers and aircraft carriers and submarines but cant reuse nukes theres no reason to use nukes and the a.we players keep reusing fighters to destroy the players silos.
So, it tries to copy the game DEFCON, but does the worst job at doing so. So, remember this, you could find better for free.
It works now but it crashes when u move ur navy. Plz fix it.
Please fix the crash bug on ios 8. We're on iOS 8 wit iphone 5 32 gig.
The game crashes about 2 minute in no matter what we do.
We've had our eye on this game for a while, but didn't want to download it because of the reported problems. When the problems with IOS 8 were said to be fixed, we decided to risk the $3.00 on it. Well, that turned out to be a bad decision. The game crashes for us about 30 seconds in. We've never had this game before so it was a totally clean install. Even so, we reinstalled it three times and it continues to crash.
The game still crashes after the most recent update please fix this.
We LOVE this app but it won't play in when we updated the iOS 8 . Please fix this.
We love this game and ever since iOS 8 it won't start please fix it.
We love this app but since the ios 08.2 came out it stopped working now plz fix.
Waste of space and money due to not being able to use with the new iOS.
This game is the official crap of the app store.
It's not what we expected, but still fun. The controls are super easy, and mostly intuitive. But there are some glitchy things that don't really affect gameplay, and the price isn't the best. Bought this to play on roadtrips and airplanes, and it passes the time great. Bring some more updates.
It used to be a good game, then some of the changes in the last update ruined the game, computers cans go right past your units, the font is weird and hard to read, and the subs seem to glitch around a lot.
Ever since the update this game freezes too much and which makes the game unplayable.
Game worked awesome, till last update please fix game, game was a five star to us till recent update, game just continues to freeze all the time.
You need to fix this. We will give it 5 stars if you fix all the constant bugs and freezes in the game.
It needs more bases on both sides of the land! More boats! Different weapons. And land bases. We do love this game and play it all the time.
Love rts's love this game make a few tweaks and we'll give it 5!:).
Fun app. Needs smoother scrolling and towards the end of the game it's just us and the other country and somehow they are firing 10 nukes at a time a well as fighters makes it very difficult ( level 0 here ). Fix and it's 5 stars.
Ok. We awarded this game two stars for premise-we love the idea of annihilating the enemy in a hell of nuclear fire, but, gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. 80% of the games structure seems completely arbitrary, from making and breaking alliances, to resource gathering, to defending your cities. The tutorial is absolute rubbish, and only explains the very bare basics of the game. We're all for a challenge but the game AI is a bit of a enigma-in multiple play throughs we've had our factories all over whelmed by swarms of enemy units within the first three minutes of the game starting. Overall- good idea overshadowed by crap gameplay and bad user interface.
This app is pretty awesome and adds to our growing rts collection.
We love this game But it is very complicated.
This is a good game but we just have a few recommendations. 1. Make it a little cheaper. 2. It would be cool to have ground units. 3. Replace bombers with fighter bombers that can attack and defend cities. 4. Controls should be a little bit easy. Don't get us wrong this is an awesome game but what we put as recommendations, we think would make it even better.
It's great, but it needs a little improvement. It's in desperate need of a fast-forward button, and we wish the price was lower. Also we're not fond of the way all the resources are in the ocean. (but maybe that's just us). Anyway, as soon as the price go's down, it could be a must buy.
We have played defcon and u did a good job getting the look but the resource gathering is terrible! And subs don't nuke? Really? And we dislike that nukes keep becoming prohibited otherwise it's really entertaining just needs some tweaks UPDATE SOON PLZ.
A mediocre Defcon lookalike. Game play so so, graphics stolen from Defcon and implemented as sprites, not vector art.
We wish you had simply copied the excellent gameplay of Defcon, rather than just its look and feel. At first, we enjoyed the addition of resource gathering, but then quickly realized the underlying combat mechanics were hopelessly daft. Also, why is the scrolling so jerky (iPhone 4 here)? We had glass-smooth scrolling of bitmaps back in '81 for God's sake. +2 stars for effort +1 for execution -1 for the price.
This game us a joke! It's the exact same as the developers other games just with a different name. However you won't see that on the app description or the screen shots. Don't believe us? Look at the developers other games. Avoid avoid avoid.
