The app works well and provides interesting changes in game both for solo and multiplayer. We love the fact that the app provides some situations that you cant plan for and need to react accordingly. It makes an already fantastic game a little bit better! Loss of the star is for two reasons: a. This app melts through our battery faster than any app we currently have. B. We own all of the current Clank! Content and it is taking the app nearly a year to catch up to the cardboard releases. These should be released in conjunction as they are both the app and game are produced by Renegade. We would upgrade to 5 stars if there was a timely release of Gold and Silk and Temple of the Ape Lords. Despite this it is a fantastic app. If you enjoy Clank! This app will certainly improve your experience.
Volume up, and other apps work just fine. The app and sounds work on our iPhone, but not on our iPad. The iPad offers a better visual when playing Fuse with a group.
Recently used this for Proving Grounds and its great. Really adds to the experience. Also love Fuse and Clank!
We love clank, and being able to play solo is amazing. Multiplayer is also taken to a different level with the app. It does drain the battery faster but thats not what Id consider a real complaint as your battery will die even by texting. Good app.
Love the app and love playing solo, but the newest expansions for Clank! And Clank In Space! Havent been added. Mummys Curse has been out for 8 months, and Apocalypse for a couple now. Would get 5 stars if the digital side of things moved as efficiently as the cardboard side.
We get no sound on our iPad from the fuse app. Works great on our iPhone. Have tried to contact dev. Exchanged 1-2 emails and then silence. No response in over a month. Will consider changing review later.
Clank! In! Space! Is currently our favorite game, and this app has an awesome solo campaign for it. We had looked at what the app did for the original Clank! And was surprised to see how much more it did for the solo mode of Space. If you have any of the games included in the companion app, you should get this for sure. If you know who wrote the campaign story for Clank! In! Space! In this app, you should give them a high-five from us.
We only use this app for clank and we love it! However, we recently has a fantastic game playing solo and managed triple digit victory points with our cards. However, the app does not let you type more than two digits in for scoring. We hope this can be changed as we would like it to properly show scores. Thanks!
BATTERY HOG. Optimize this app to use less power, please. Im on an iPad Pro and it chews through the battery. We like that this app creates a 1-player version of Clank! But is it just us and some tough luck or does the app throw way too many threat cubes at you? We’ve played through a few solo games now and they go way too fast as we seem to always get 3 threat cubes every time we get any. Seems unusual to see that many when they come up and it makes the game go faster than Id desire. Other than that, if the rage symbol were changed to a dragon + a cube rather than just a cube it would be much less confusing to first-timers. Thanks.
We love the voice and the sound, but in the latest update it seems to have stopped working. Phone volume is up, app volume is up, supposed to be playing through phone speakers, and other apps are working. Great companion to the game as long as this issue gets resolved.
In version 1.5.0.418, no sound. Other apps work. Only advantage to this over built in timer is the screen stays on. Just installed for the Fuse game.
Clank! Solo is fantastic. Fuse app brings a lot of tension to the game.
This would be a five star except for a bug in the solo version of clank. If you begin a game and have taken a turn, the app will reset if your phone locks or goes to sleep. This is a pain since you need to reset the board and your deck when starting over. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
Downloaded on our iphone, no sound for fuse countdown. If that gets fixed, it is a 5 star app. Until then, only two stars.
We like the look of the app, although we found it frustrating to infuriating at times. For one, we were stumbling through our first solo game since the app did a poor job explaining the rules. We still don’t know what rage cubes are. We started out attempting to use the app on our iPhone 7, although from the start, it would crash when our phone would lock and we unlocked it, as well as when we switched back and forth with our texts. So we switch to our iPad, which was cumbersome, but we no longer had problems with crashing. Right before we finished our first game, we fulfilled our challenge, and collected on it, and it attempted to moved on to the next turn, which punished us, instead of allowing us to complete the rest of our turn, and win the game. We tried to back up, but that just sent us to the exit screen. We hit the wrong button and our game was cancelled. It’s very disheartening and unfulfilling to waste your time playing a game, to only have the ending robbed from you. This app needs some work, so it’s less glitchy, easier to understand new rules, and a way to back up mistakes.
We haven’t tried the clank app with others but it makes for an entertaining game solo. Obviously has a different feel but if you like clank and you like solo gaming we think it makes clank a solid, light solo experience. I’d love to see other solo stuff in there to expand the game experience but not sure if that’ll happen. Obviously if you play fuse this is the only way to do it. Haven’t experienced any bugs or issues yet. Worth getting.
One of our favorite apps! We LOVE it!
We just got Clank, and was looking forward to playing it solo (the way we normally play games). Imagine our disappointment when we see it has been REMOVED! Lame please bring it back! EDIT Im changing our review from 1 Star to 4 Stars for 2 reasons: our main gripe was that the Clank part of the app wasnt available, which really was us just throwing a tantrum (not proud of it). Turns out Clank went to Dire Wolf Games, along with the Solo made for the app. Download Dire Wolf Game app to play Clank solo! The app itself is actually really good, aside from a few lag/sound issues. We LOVE Renegade, and felt terrible leaving a review over something we knew nothing about. We apologize to the Renegade team, and look forward to supporting you for years to come. Thank you.

We got this because we had read it had a clank for a companion part. But it doesnt seem to exist bummer.
Visual timer works but no audio. This is holds true for iPhone SE, 11 and 12.
The latest release was labeled as a minor release (v1.11) but they removed Clank (the whole reason we downloaded this.

An ongoing dialog in the board game community is whether its good (or acceptable) for a physical board game to require a digital app. While this app is only a helper app, it is required for some game options. Or, rather, it was – support for Clank! And Clank! In! Space! Was removed without warning, taking the solo modes with them. While physical board games are have a limited life, it should not be be as limited as the life of an app on the App Store.
Updated the app and now all we get is a Resuming game in progress message that doesnt go away.
Ummpretty sure we used this to play Clank! Solo a few months ago and now its not there anymore. Why would you guys remove that functionality?
We downloaded this on our Samsung galaxy a couple of years ago for Proving grounds. We still have the game. We’ve been wanting to play it again as well as Clank!. We really enjoyed playing proving grounds with this app. The music and sound effects helped bring it to life. We had no issues with the sound from the app with the Samsung galaxy. Now that we’ve downloaded it on our Apple 12 which has the current software update 15.3.1., we are experiencing silence and no volume control response on any of the games within this download. Any info or advice would really be appreciated.
For Proving Grounds how do we reset the scores!? If we have to delete and reinstall the app, that is kind of lame!
You can now play Clank solo! When we found out about that, we are immediately went to purchase a few clank games. We like to reward developers that add app support. The app also adds music and sound effects when you use it. Which just adds a nice atmospheric touch when playing the game!
As soon as the app is clicked on, it opens a loading screen and then crashes.
Both apps integrate very well with their respective games. We love the dimensions and aspects they add (solo modes, an event deck, atmospheric sounds) The only additional feature I’d like to see is a score history on the Clank! App and if we’re being greedy, some background music for Clank. The fact that we get all of this amazing content for free speaks volumes about Renegade Games and what a great company they are. We can’t wait to see what they come out with next.
We are not sure what is wrong with the other reviewer’s phone, but there is sound and a voice over which is quite cool. The sounds really add a good thematic effect, and the things the voice over says are quite entertaining. Also the voice warns you as the time ticks away (5 minutes to go), then in the last minute an alarm goes off and panic sests in. In addition to the voice and effects there is a score calculator and tracker. This saves you from the trouble of documenting it with pen and paper and allows you to easily track the details of your best games. We guess this goes to show you should never trust reviews, especially when there is just one. We almost didn’t download, then we thought what the heck its free. Good thing we did….
We noticed that the app always switches to Personality Voice after exiting the high scores. Please fix this. Other than that, it’s a great free download that adds true atmosphere to a frantic tabletop game.
We too was frustrated when we could get no sound from the timer. When we tried taking our phone off of silent/vibrate it now works. It’s a great app that really adds a lot to the game. If you have issues with the sound try what we did and it should work.
So, the app, when it works, is awesome. Unfortunately the download to our latest phone does not have any audio, and it’s the snarky ships computer that makes the count down worth while.
A timer with sounds and voiceover that really fits the theme of being in a hurry. We haven’t played much but we just wish you could delete scores off your leaderboards.
No sound no voice Just a digital clock which we already got. Well we are afraid It’s worth the Price we paid.
We also did not have voice or sound with this app. We have an iPhone 5 but have the latest iOS so we’re not sure what the issue could be. It’s a shame because this game needs appropriate music with a timer…
