Community Insight:

Love the app! Just needs a crab pet for our goblin pirate character lol.

When we first got into dnd we played on paper, now us and our whole group use Reroll and encourage others to use it as well, we use it quite regularly lol. Us and our friend talk often about how good it is literally feels like putting a character on paper but keeping many characters in our pocket at all times. So thanks Reroll for keeping us engaged and we hope you keep expanding the app.

Pros: customizable character art of non-human races! Fur and scale rejoice! And you can change the adventuring gear they wear/hold! And all the armor/accessories are tweaked to fit on any body/creature type! Inventory management is better than many others- we can use the Other type for anything, and give it a counter for how many there is. Is not limited to items found in official books. The flip side being that you have to add the descriptions for everything you add- we usually cut the description down to the essentials like one would when taking notes in a lecture. Cons: slight learning curve for navigating between pages in-session. Does not help combat action economy, as class abilities are on a separate page. Would be nice to have a tag system that can mark abilities as action/bonus/reaction to show up on the combat page. In short, not great for first-time players.

Amazing app! Sadly it doesnt let us export our characters anymore.

Genuinely cannot recommend this enough, we love the pixel art for creating our character, and the character sheet is very intuitive and helpful. Definitely check it out if youre looking for something to give you ideas for characters or an app to keep a helpful account of all your info.

We have used this for multiple DnD campaigns and one shots for our partys PCs and NPCs. Everyone in our party lives in different cities, and these transparent png minis are perfect for our online battlemaps. You can pick a program that lets people cooperate on it at the same time like shared Google slides, Foundry virtual tabletop, or Miro online whiteboards. Everybody moves their minis png around. Chefs kiss. We paid for the full version and it has been worth every penny. There are so many different options for attire, gear, the minis base, even different kinds of halos and effects for added flavor (like floating crystals, a ring of fire, even a portal background) And theyre all color and brightness adjustable. Our only criticism is when it comes to cycling between hair, face, and race feature options, we dont like that we have to click through every single option instead of being able to scroll through the options numbers or to type in the number for say Hairstyle #21. This gets especially tedious when youre trying to compare options. For example if Im deciding between Hair #3 and Hair #23, we have to click through every single number between them just to look between them once. Ive had to screen record the whole hair style line up for our party members to help them decide. It would be much more convenient if we could scroll or type in the number we want and then have it pop up. Another hope we have and we know this would be time consuming is for there to be more variety in body types. Currently each race has a very stocky male figure and a slender female figure. Id like a body type in between, neither big muscular or lithe. Plus sized models and height variation would also be wonderful! Hopefully sometime in the future. Anyways, we highly HIGHLY recommend this app. Its beautiful for online DnD games. Or if you just want to make minis. The combinations are endless, and we cannot stress how satisfying it is to move a full-body model of your character around a battlemap while you describe their next move. Great for immersion. Love this app.

We absolutely love this app and have put our DND group onto it as well,, but we can't find how to make the lion character that is shown in the first picture.

Just downloaded it today, it has the most extensive and detailed character customization Ive seen on a DND game, bought the one time 7$ full version and didnt regret. It gets a little slow when you add a ton of stuff to your character, but it hasnt crashed yet. Havent used the character sheets yet, mostly bought it to make characters. Great game, we hope they add fish people/ mermaids.

We love Reroll and have made almost all of our characters and friends characters in it for a few years now. The app has so much customization and unique ways to build characters its crazy. We love it and Im happy to support the creators who made it possible! Feedback: There are only 4 little things that we think would help take this app and its abilities to the next level. 1) Having all clothing options available across all genders. Sometimes theres a coat or an armor set that Id love to use for male or female characters, but they seem to only be available for the opposite gender than what Id like them for. Opening the whole wardrobe list to all the gender options would be a great way to give users their choice of all of the clothing options without working around that issue. 2) A more comprehensive color pallet for clothes. Sometimes finding the color you want between Hue and Tint is difficult, so finding a way that requires less blending and more solid options, or a color dropper took to choose from another spot or uploaded picture would be awesome. 3) Being able to change colors and details of the clothing a bit more. Right now everything has a pretty fixed design and color scheme, but being able to choose the colors for trim/stitching, highlights, and the body of items would be a huge increase in customization. 4) Being able to Layer the clothing options a little better. The current Layer tool is great, but some of the belts and accessories dont quite work with the more flowy or robed clothing options that would have an outer and inner layer to them. Being about to tuck the belts and accessories under the clothing in some places without hiding them under the entire chest or body layer would be great! Again, we love Reroll and look forward to more exciting content updates! Thanks for an amazing fantasy character app.

We have nothing but positive stuff to say. But we do wish that more is added soon.

This app is perfect for any experienced D&D player- it's got spots for ability scores, initiative, weapons, armor, money, (basic) inventory, features, personality, etc. Keep in mind, this is not like D&D Beyond and the like; you have to manually insert all features, ability scores, etc. We picked up the $10 premium account. The price seems fair- we've seen comments about how much this is- but the customization and accessibility is unmatched, and $10 for such a useful and high-quality tool is not an unfair price. The only qualm we've got with it is the lack of a general inventory system, but this can be remedied by a word-processing app, or by using the notes tab within the app itself.

We are an avid tabletop RPG player with basically zero artistic talent. We dont mind paying an artist to create a detailed illustration of our character(s), but to get a nice commissioned piece will usually cost an arm and a leg after all, you are commissioning a piece from a professional. So as nice as that is, its certainly not viable for more than one or two special characters every once in a while. This app is exactly what we have been looking for a simple tool with lots of customization options that allows an artless sap like us to create their own character portraits. Ill be honest, we have not even tried to use the built-in character sheet function, because we have other programs to manage that, and honestly the art is whats most important here (plus they make it easy to export the tokens/cards to your email, so you can just save as a .png and add it to your character sheet of choice). Its also pretty easy to use, although we think Id have an easier time on a tablet, since our big thumbs have trouble grabbing the color sliders at times. A lot of reviews seem bothered by the $10 price tag to unlock all features, and whatever, your money, your decision. We got the paid version on sale for $7, and even at $10 we think it would be well worth it. The biggest factor for us is that its not some subscription service, and theyre not charging you like 99 cents per armor piece or whatever. You pay a flat rate once (the cost of one fast-food meal, basically), and you get to toy with all the lovely visual assets they designed, and make as many characters as you like. Overall, that seems like a great deal to us, but we also spend similar small sums every now and then for other RPG assets such as digital maps and tokens, so if you usually just find stuff for free, then we guess we can see why youd be bothered. But for us, the quality of art and the opportunities for individual customization make this stand out head-and-shoulders above your standard RPG token pack. We dont have any complaints, but we are curious if the devs are looking at expanding things. We think theres plenty of options for a typical fantasy RPG, and we love the character card export option Ive decided to surprise our D&D group and make character cards for all the campaigns major PCs and NPCs, then do a little editing in MS paint to make them look like trading cards. But we love the art style and the ease of use, so we would love to see either an expansion pack with even more options for for fantasy, as well as other genres such as sci-fi. It would also be awesome to customize different aspects of an asset like if you have a shirt with a chest piece and shoulder pads, maybe you could change the color of the shoulder pads without altering the chest piece. But we bet that would require a ton of work for each individual asset, so thats probably a pipe dream. Regardless, for what it is, we think this app is great, and a bargain at the $10 price tag for the full version. If you, like us, have a big imagination but lack the skills to actualize it, this is a fantastic budget option to start cranking out some character art for your fantasy TTRPG campaigns. Keep up the good work, devs.

We really love this app even though we dont have the full version. But since we dont have a credit card or PayPal, we were wanting to know if there is some way to get the standard edition without having those two things.

We have really enjoyed using Reroll to make a lot of characters. The full version is a bit expensive, but we feel was worth it. The free version is still amazing though. The one thing we wish was that there were more races, but other than that its awesome.

Its useful for characters for tracking them for story writing so we dont lose our character for our story unlocking full app to gain the ability to do more so far 5 stars out of 5 stars Im not a robot people who read our comment for this app.

We like this app a lot, one thing we would wish to be added is a customization for younger body and face type for those that have teen or kid DnD characters, BUT other then that we love it! The app helps us visually with our characters and their sheets. It takes a bit to get used to, but its still great none the less! The character sheet and some customization was still available even if you didnt spend the $10, which is great in our opinion.

It is a really good thing for when needing to make a character buuuuutttt, you kinda just cant use anything else in the armor and weapons part of it also we think it would be a little funny if you put in some dark souls armor in for it and make like a game part in it so its like a little journey so your character loots and you get the items that they loot.

The free version is perfectly ok for people who want to be the most popular races but we think that the paid version of the game should maybe add some more. We were also thinking that maybe you could add a pointy gnome hat so we can really feel like a garden gnome. Otherwise, great game.

This is a great app but anytime we click on the pets menu everywhere it would be pixel art it is just a question mark. We really wanted to add an owl familiar to our wizard but its not WORKING. Please notify if this gets fixed or something else.

Id love an update with some more options .. Otherwise pretty darn cool.

Pretty self explanatory, if your purchase the full app the clothings options and everything else is great! We wish there was more customization like height, weight, etc. To make each new character differ from another. We also do wish that there were even more options like maybe more modern clothes and such for modern set ttrpgs. Also more races like kobold and such. In summary, it currently has a pretty good selection of things as it stands, we just wish there was more.

Ive had for about 2 years now we think. We think this is a great app to have for dnd players to make a character on. But while we were making a new character we saw that the Firbolg and Goliath races where gone and just wanted to ask and see if there was something wrong. We checked the updates and it didnt say anything about removing races. Or maybe its just something wrong with our account.

Kind of need to drop the money if you want anything good. Worth the money, though.

4/5 pet assets not loading after purchase.

So the app is pretty cool if you wanna role play. It is locked behind a reasonable paywall to support its functions especially for not being spammed with ads. Its not asking for a annual payment either just a one time deal. Now it dose lack the ability to customize the overall build of a characters body which we dislike because in DND or most role plays the character might not be a beefy human. That being said some body adjustment presets would be good for characters or heck what if they want a fat drunk orc warlord or something they arent able to have that strictly because body choices arent existent. Clothes are okay definitely got some good options which you can individually color and hue, but Id say more hoods and maybe some more torso attire options would be good for the future. We think they should also consider backdrops to put behind the character on the platform to make things even more unique and for the love of peep add poses for goodness sakes we mean poses are essential for the characters over all atmosphere and just showing off.

The app is fun but lets have been broken every since they came out. Please fix them.

Our fianc and we are pretty new to the world of D&D but were super excited to dive in and start playing, and the only hang up weve been having so far is the complications of character creations, and all the stuff that goes into it. We saw this app on the AppStore and decided why not, might as well try it. Only 20 mins into it so far and Ive already rounded out two of the characters we were planning on creating. Its nice to have a visual representation of the character, bc even though Im artistically inclined, we dont really wanna spend hours drawing while Im also trying to just figure out the stats & details of each character. Our only complaint so far is the limited races, because Ive had our heart set on creating a Kenku rogue and it looks like thats not an available race. In the upgraded version (costs money) you can add birdlike helms to a humanoid character to make them have a bird head, so we guess thats one way around it but itd be nice to just have like a bird-folk race available. TLDR; we like it well enough and even the free version is a great option if you want a visual representation of your rpg or dnd character/s without spending a bunch of time or money.

This is a really good app and we would recommend this to anyone and would even recommend getting the pack, but even tho its very good we bought the pack for more armor and such but we wasnt allowed to use anything, we would like to ask if a dev could help us with this.

A super great app! We love the graphics, and the character sheet function in tandem is very helpful. Only one suggestion. It would be extremely useful if you could share the live characters with others in real time so that the DM could view your sheet without having to send screenshots or something of that sort.

We love this app. We love dnd and we love making characters. This app has both and allows for creation of a 2d visual representation of your character. Since we like the app, we bought an account key. We continued to use the app after this until suddenly we try to enter the app for it to not load. We had the (probably dumb) idea to close the app and retry. We were sent back to the screen when starting the app while not logged in. We tried logging in but apparently our account doesnt exist. This bothers us due to the money we spent but also due to the time and effort we put into our characters. Our username was Curi0siti. We have made a new account that has the exact same details (probably a dumb move) but hopefully our old one gets restored. Overall good app though.

This app is great and very easy to use however we wish there were just a little more options for armor in the free version. Now we understand that app developers need to make money but that fact that basic armors such as leather, chainmail, and plate arent available for free is a little annoying.we also found it strange how no instruments are available in the free version so if your playing a bard then your pretty much outta luck.

It never stated that their was in app purchases but still we bought the standard version but after a week we were gone and we tried to show we bought it but it said not purchased then we bought it again but it still Wont work this is such a great app but please give us our money back or the standard version PLEASE But we would change our review to a 5 star if we get our update back.

This app is amazing to use to create DND characters Ive created around 5 and Im still thinking of making more (only Thing is that it deleted our account? And we lost all our characters we made also saying our email doesnt exist?) but all and all this app is great for making characters and giving them backstories.

This app has the nicest looking sprites of any simple sprite creator Ive seen, free or otherwise. The free version has very little to offer; its a demo, if you actually want to create anything youll need the paid version. But the paid version has lots of options. What it lacks is poses. It desperately needs even a small handful of poses, 3-5 would make a huge difference. The default pose is very static looking, and many props look downright silly held in their default position. The bow-armed stance makes everyone look kind of buff. Maybe even if it could just export the characters in layers for each limb so we could more easily pose them ourselves? Idk. We love the look the art but cant really use it for anything with just one kind of bad pose.

Overall a nice app, unfortunately we dont use electronic cash. Too little options for gearing and we are very able to put chase upgrades for the app. So this app has much potential for a useful gamer tool, but misses the mark for reliable support Other than that the app has been smooth and hasnt been crashy.

We really enjoy just making D&D character, so this app was perfect! Few gripes: You cant upgrade using Apple AppStore. You dont choose a race, you just type it in, so it doesnt add the benefits. A long or Short rest feature would be nice to reset you spells/abilities. Tool proficiency arent a thing. Other all its fun for what it is, but could use more.

Downloaded in hopes to find a better looking app than our current one but sadly a lot of base game stuff is missing. Only Druid subclass is circle of land and only feat available is grappler. Only upside is the pixel art.

Why is the app not working ive been trying to get into it but it just shows a blue screen.

So we love this app. Let us get that clear at the start of this. This is so useful to have art and so many different things all in one place for your DnD character. This app prides itself on diversity of how many options you can have. However, it bothers us that we cant make a character of different body types than what is traditionally expected of beauty standards. For example, lets say we choose an ascended, there are only masculine options. If someone wanted to make themselves and they were chubby, it stops them from being able to really put themselves into their character.

We were trying to make our shibu inu charatar but no app was letting us select dogfolk so this one we had high hopes but no but they had catfolk so yea very little options for race.

Ive noticed the biggest problem is the lag it just sometimes doesnt load and youre stuck behind a blank screen also we feel like you should be able to edit your character pixel for pixel and even have the ability to make them from scratch a good example of this is the site PIXEL ART it allows you to create drawings from the ground up and edit premade drawings. If these two problems were fixed it would be an easy 5star review.

This is great, but should not be crashing and have minute long load times on an iphone 13. Come on now.

We were really enjoying this app until we duplicate our character a few times to make different models and now it just goes to a grey screen when loading our character selection. We cant access anything and we paid for the upgrade. Very disappointed. Would like a refund.

Paid member herebuggy web app wrapped in a native app wrapper: 1) All pet art shows up as [?] Boxes. 2) Item color adjustment controls don't update as you change the sliders; only when you confirm your changes will the main image update. 3) Can't save character image from app; must email it. (?!) Please fix/update.

Dont advertise this as a free app, you give nothing to people who dont pay seven dollars. We had hopes for this app, but the moment we saw 90% of the art grayed out and locked behind a pay wall we knew this was another cash grab. For shame.

Its called REROLL, we got because we lost our dice but you cant even roll dice.

We open then app for the first time, and everything was working perfectly so we decided buy all the options with the one time purchase. After this. The app doesnt want to work. It just a loading screen. Too bad that after putting money into this, it jus broke. A literally pay to loss xd.

When we open the app it takes us to a blue screen and doesnt do anything.

Makes you create an account for the app before telling you how pathetically limited the demo is. Instant delete.

We bought the full version and it seemed great with the customization, but the next day, the app no longer works or even loads. Until this issue is fixed, we do not recommend the app as it turned out to be a waste of money. We will give a better review when the issue is fixed.
