It keeps pausing music/podcasts playing when the app opens and when the app does anything despite music and sound fx within the app are turned off in settings.
We’ve loved this game for years. Knowing how to play doesn’t make it easier. It’s all about strategy. We often play it to relax. The concentration gets your mind off everything else.
A simple game that enthralls for hours. Nicely done. Our grandsons love to play.
After you move beyond the early levels, it’s like playing a pro. When you do win you get the feeling that it’s just a matter of time before you lose. Tons of fun .
There a lot of Reversi games out there but this is the best one by far! This app has simple options and is very easy to use and operate!

Im on iphone 6+ and right after we select 1 player game, it crashes… Almost all the time.
Bought the paid version to get rid of ads and now we can’t even play… Refund please.
Yes, the game does what it is supposed to do. What it does not do is teach you to play well. You need to play well before using this game. Even at the easiest opponent settings the game will beat a novice every time. There are several changes to the program that would help users learn to play. Dumb down the opponent/algorithm. Allow the user to adjust the speed of the opponent’s moves so they can be observed. Allow an instant replay, that is, show us that last move again. Why did the opponent make that move? Allow the user to propose a move and have the algorithm show the effect; let the user explore options. If the programmers are willing to be more sophisticated, allow the user to move, allow the algorithm to move and then–allow the user to step backward two moves (user + algorithm) and choose a different move than before. In effect, the user can see the outcome of his/her choice, say "Ouch! Not good" and then try something else. Bottom line: if you already play well use this app; if you don’t play well look elsewhere.
The AI on this Othello / Reversi game is amazing!
Great software. What we like most is the slide bar to increase difficulty. You eventually learn how to beat the program, increasing the level of difficulty maintains the challenge!
Started with difficulty at half way and found games very competitive. If we made a mistake we lost. Learning how to play and beat computer Just moved difficulty up to 75%. Fun!
This is a blast. But you should have some experience and patience. Playing The computer will make you want to throw your phone in the toilet.

The game works flawlessly (so far) and the interface/artwork is simple and pleasing. (The music is a cool addition).
Great game – moves fast, and you can set the level of difficulty if you find that you are winning all of the time. Reversi (or Othello) is a centuries-old game and can take years to master. You can look up the rules and some basic strategies (like corner play) on-line -try Wikipedia – or pick up a book on it. As others have pointed out, the computer does not cheat, it is simply following the rules when it takes several turns in a row. Read the rules, you’ll understand! This game can be deliciously Addicting, especially when you find the point on the difficulty continuum where you win about 50% of the time!
We are a very average player. On the hardest setting we trade wins with the AI. We can see how the hardest setting would not be a challenge for an expert player. For us, playing at 75% difficulty is the sweet spot for helping us fall asleep.
It’s a good time burner. And a good challenge.
Good game. We don’t think the computer cheats like it does in backgammon. THAT is frustrating. This one seems to be fair and moves quickly.
This app is great. It has a few bugs that are easy to deal with.
This is a great game to play. Is there a way to make the board squares outline darker? The Ai always seems to obtain the advantage by securing the edge/corners of the board, which are not easily visible. GREAT GAME otherwise!!
Superb gameplay. AI algorithm a bit simplistic. Doesn’t have sophisticated look-ahead or weighing functions when deciding the next play. Reversi algorithm not that complex, either. When we make a mistake, the AI doesn’t take advantage as a real opponent would. We win a lot of games that we should have lost because the AI misses a lot of smashing great moves.
We have been using the Pro version all day. The graphics are good and computer is quick. However… It’s stupid. On the hardest level, we kill the computer every time. We were looking for a challenge and didn’t get one. We want our $1.99 back!!!
Haven’t had any problems with it. The computer doesn’t cheat – learn the rules! The computer takes multiple turns only when you don’t have a move. We can beat the computer most games at the easiest level.
Very challenging at first – then with a little proficiency it can become fun almost addicting. Nice graphics – better than other Reversi programs.
So love it! And people say its complicated!
