User Reviews on Riddles of Fate: Wild Hunt HD – A Hidden Objects Adventure

Looking for more information? Read a comprehensive review of Riddles of Fate: Wild Hunt HD – A Hidden Objects Adventure below:

This is our third time playing this game, had no technical difficulties as others have stated. Loved the graphics, (especially the "Death" character). The Four Horseman storyline got us hooked soooo, we didn’t relegated it to the "Cloud" and it’s a good thing we did because we too have been having problems with Games that one is supposed to "own for life" once the game is purchased but, a text comes back stating, "no purchase has been found",……

The first time we tried this game, we liked it very much. This time, not. We had to tap on the wooden wedge over a dozen times before we could get it. We even used the hint to see if we were doing something wrong. We hate playing games with glitches. It’s off our "to buy" list until it’s fixed.

Well, the forever is just until you try to replay it again. We have so far lost three "forever" games from Big Fish. We agree that this is intolerable and needs to be fixed, or else the statement about owning the games "forever" changed. We like to replay games and am highly disappointed when something we paid for just disappears.

Fixed the lost progress, but now we cannot get one of the signs from the gnome next to the crossbow. That, and we have had to beat our iPad Air 2 half to death to get a lot of the HO items. There have been too many glitches in all of these games, by all developers lately. We will not buy any more.

Cant get past the part with the wooden wedge.

We had to practically beat our iPad to select objects. We tried other hidden object games to make sure it wasn’t our iPad, it wasn’t.

We were enjoying the game but had a hard time picking up the wooden wedge but eventually was able to get it but we cannot get the piano pedal from the armor.

Lots of glitches. On first screen impossible to remove wedge from bridge mechanism.

Loved the game.A lot of moving around, but the guide was great. Graphics were great, colors great. Really enjoyed the game. Thank You.

We like this game…. It’s fun to play.

Had no glitches or play issues with this game. Well worth the 4.99 we paid for it.

So far this game has had no issues for us.. But the game is spectacular, beautiful, and went way beyond what we had expectations. The scenes are wonderfully done, exceptional detail and graphics, considering we have played hundreds of BigFish games on PC and iPad, this one is in the top ten for iPad games for us but we have to add the after getting halfway through the bonus game we got totally reset on the whole game. Very disappointing so we think we are going to start buying the games on cd and get away from online games.. Sad but beneficial to me.

This is one of the best games we’ve played in awhile! The graphics are the greatest!

More complex than others but not too much. Pretty good!

A bit of moving but we liked the graphics and difficulty level.

This could have been a great game, but we couldn’t play it all the way through. It had great graphics, cut-scenes and an interesting storyline, as well as good puzzles, but it was sorely lacking in other areas! First of all, a diary or journal would have been helpful, in addition to the task list. The HO scenes were boring, pretty much word lists. Although the map was a teleport map, it only marked objectives and not available tasks so you had to run all over the place anyway! Every location had an objective! We are LAZY! We want to at least know where we need to go! When you received an inventory item, it would have been nice if it was labeled when you first got it. We never got kicked out or had to reset our progress, and we were able to tap fairly easily because we always use a stylus ( we have long, sparkling ruby talons, until Thursday when we get our in-house mani/pedi). Until, and you ALL will be laughing at the IRONY here, we had to pick up the MOUSETRAP! Us with a fear of MICE and RATS and we can’t pick up the trap! So we can’t tell you if the game was particularly lengthy or about the bonus chapter! We were done! Big shout out to the Dream Team! Please be a little more critical on a glitchy game or BigFish will keep on doing this! And by the way, they absolutely DO read the reviews. Do they take them seriously? Good question! They can update this game all they want, but we found it extremely tedious! We wouldn’t play it again, and it didn’t even have RATS! Happy New Year to all reviewers! We need your help. Our year started out on a low note. Our rotator cuff is torn and we are probably going to need major shoulder surgery. The power of prayer is great! Please pray we won’t have to be operated upon. Thanx everyone, especially our fabulous Dream Team! From Lynxie.

This game will save your progress 2-3 times and then all of your progress is lost. We waited for the update and bah! Your progress is lost. We have restarted this game 4 times. Unless you can complete this Game in one single seating. Save your money.

This game is not ready. Our arm aches from endless tapping and getting nowhere. Nothing makes sense, you can’t back up to previous scenes, there are typos and no idea what the story is. The last two games were so good and now a big disappointment.

We are a big fan of big fish games and have bought many of the years. This game is just horrible, it is disjointed, has no story line and makes no sense at all. Impossible to figure out the next move as there is no logic to it. We are so disappointed that we spent money on this one, it’s embarrassing. Going forward we will be more careful, as they are starting to put out junk.

This is a do not buy game! Finally made it thru after several restarts. Started the bonus game, quit and went back later. Says we have to finish the main game! WTH? Which we already did. What junk! And BF doesn’t do a single thing about this. They’ve got your $$.. Save yours!

We loved the game, then we paid for it. Finished the game and got halfway through the bonus game… Now we open it and all our progress is gone and have to start over, which we’re NOT doing. Goodbye Big Fish games. You’ll get no more money from us.

We bought this when it was released and have continuously had problems with it. I’d start the game, play for a while and then lose our progress. We finally was almost done when we lost all progress again. We’re deleting and giving up. There are too many we can play that aren’t buggy.

Great story line, good length, very good game (and Death is kinda a hottie but he’s a one woman man.) 2 thumbs way up Addendum.. Initially gave this game 5 stars but now we’ve dropped it to 1 star. Every time we close out of the game now it resets. EVERY. FREAKING. TIME. We’re beyond annoyed right now. Ugh, FIX THIS!!!!!

Usually when gamers say don’t buy, we take it with a grain of salt. We play for free to see if we like it and it if the game goes well ,I’ll buy. This goes well until you try to play the bonus game that you paid for. We’ve tried it twice and each time it freezes in the bonus game. It was so bad we couldn’t even get out of the game. We couldn’t turn off our iPad off for an hour. It was just stuck. So don’t get stuck with this game. It’s not worth it no matter how good it looks in the beginning.

Fun! Just wish for once we could get through the whole story for free.

We had lots of fun with this one!!!!!!!

Great for a novice like us. It did take a while to go to each scene. HOS were good.

Good game but fair warning if you don’t quit to menu first progress will not be saved found out hard way.

Very entertaining. Has all the features we request. Look forward to a sequel. Thanks BF.

Great game, worth the low price. Bonus content is also terrific.

This game has everything we like in an HO game, so we won’t bore you by listing all of them. When we re-read the "Most Critical" reviews, it seems that the majority complained about the number of times you had to tap to make something occur. One recommendation: Don’t use your finger! We use a stylus for ALL of our adventure games and have never had the problem of multiple tapping. A stylus is cheap, and many even have a built-in pen. Give it a try and see if this solves the problem! BTW, remember this: Big Fish NEVER reads these reviews! So if you have a complaint, go to the Big Fish web site and send them an email. They Will respond!

It is loads of fun to play! Highly recommend you get this game!!

A little dark but entertaining as the person you rescue from prison and become partners with is Death himself. You are out to rescue his daughter and not just once. You just seem to get her out of one of his old partners hands and another shows up. Of course you have to keep rescuing Death himself on top of that, otherwise same as usual. Has map and good voice overs (sorry Hoss the lips are still closed). If you have problem with placing recipe at cauldron be sure and remove old recipe first. No Rats as yet L/M will get back if we run into a bunch. We first played this on our Mac a long time ago had no problems on it but repurchased to make sure there was none on the iPad so far, and we’re pretty far along have had no problem here. Alohaspirit1 on the last game we had played it on our Mac with no problem and played up to purchase part on our iPad without any but didn’t! Purchase a second time sorry you had one. A big shout out and Merry Christmas to all the gang and to all the reviewers regardless of what your feelings are about us. This is the time for good cheer for one and all. Lol and prayers for all those in need of them especially to L/M Blueflier and Lil Jo. Hope Moonbeam,Dracy,Bunkie,Hoss and Nambr remain well! Btw Bunkie where are you? Thank you BF and especially those of you that do all the hard work for the games you keep giving us. Snooper-158ps don’t forget a new Empress and 1000 Doors.

This is a wonderful game. It has a great map, good story and it the type of game we always buy. No going back and forth confused like some games. Great and well worth the money. You will not be disappointed.

This is a great game wonderful graphics and a good story line we throughly enjoyed it took us a while but what fun well worth the money.

Great game. Love it ,going to buy it soon.

We love a game where you have to find objects and then remember where you have to go to use that item. We also love the mini games because you really have to use your brain.

Ok so the Bone King (gruesome fellow) turns loose the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse – because if he can’t win the war then nobody gets a toy. Anyway – Death – one of the 4 horsemen – falls in love and doesn’t want to play anymore. This makes the other 3 horsemen very jealous because 3 is not as cool as 4 horsemen. So you get to save the day, and save Death. At least you have a cute pet bat to help you.

We enjoyed this very much. Great game as usual and quality work. Well done. Bring on the sequel.

So, in this game it is our job to save Death as well as all the young girls. And, wouldn’t you know it, Death seems to need a lot of saving. We’re enjoying the game so far. We’re past the trial but not too far into it. As you’d imagine, it’s the traditional dark castle town. But there’s a friendly and cute bat named Louis that helps along the way. So far, the good: teleporting map with action areas, labeled inventory, good voice overs (and voices), good cut scenes. Usual puzzle variety, but HOPs are typical, with a few items where you have to do something within the scene. A match 3 option is available for many of the puzzles, too. And we like sidekicks, and Louis is helpful. We wish he was a little more friendly… Saving Death isn’t all fun and games… Or maybe it is? The not-so-good: the puzzles seem extremely easy. The hint button is less hint-y and more an instruction of what to do (not our preference). Some of the HOPs have finicky areas where you tap and tap and tap. And the storyline, while interesting, doesn’t seem to move logically along. We feel like there’s just a little too much back and forth between the same scenes. We’re giving this a 3.5, or rounded up to 4. We’ll be back if we feel there’s something more to add, or if we need to change the rating. Hope all the reviewers are enjoying their holidays.

Beautiful graphics, HOS not too hard as to be frustrating, orientation map, can rapidly skip from one scene to another, so far, interesting story line!

Seems like a good game. Just started playing.

We enjoyed the game though we found it difficult to move through, as it isn’t all that touch sensitive. Nice premise and some fun moments aside from having to pound from scene to scene.

We tried the demo and didn’t know if we would like it at first. We kept playing the demo and we are glad we did. We bought it and finished the game plus the bonus and it was a lot of fun. We couldn’t stop playing! The game has a sense of humor that we really liked. Good voice acting and graphics. Puzzles more challenging towards end. We love dragons and the gothic story.

So, we’ve been playing this game for a while now and like others have had tremendously frustrating difficulty in simply picking up or opening objects and areas from the very start. Don’t get us wrong. We’re enjoying the game but am a bit beyond frustrated. We’ve come to realize why this is. Have you ever played another game like this, a hidden object adventure game that gave you as an option the ability to switch to "left handed mode?" we are pretty certain that is in a sense what is happening with this game as well. However, in this case, there is no option to choose left or right handed play. We’re guessing it has everything to do with the fact that this game is already a left handed game, designed and/or programmed by a left handed person. If you think we couldn’t possibly be right about that, try it. If you’re right handed, try doing things with your left hand and notice how much easier it is to pick up items that way. So for the first time we get it. We totally understand it has everything to do with "angle of attack." Meaning it depends on the angle with which you touch the screen. Even though you seem to be touching the same spot with both hands (er, a finger from each hand anyway) it’s the faint, nearly imperceptible angle you use to touch the screen. Considering that the majority of people in the world are actually right handed, this is all the more frustrating. However, lefties tend to be more artistic than us righties so in a way, it makes sense. Once again frustrating but sensical nonetheless.

Played many HOS games, this one has a great blend of Plot, hidden objects, puzzle and great graphics. Is temperamental tapping items at times but not anything that should stop you from buying the app.
