A Glimpse into Rogue Wizards

Battle creatures, collect loot, master magic, and build your very own Wizard Tower sanctuary in this rogue-lite, dungeon-crawling role playing game.

The Council oversees the elam families, aristocrats who are descended from the first humans in Rilfanor, and the banlits, who were originally people born without magical abilities. The Guild has never admitted banlits because of their lack of magical capacity; and they’ve never admitted women because they believed women were too weak-minded to control such power.

Now, many generations later, the elam magic is weakening, and latent magic talent has reappeared among the banlit population. Many of the elam are in denial, but some of them want to take the radical step of allowing banlits, including women, into the Guild.

In your quest you’ll explore randomly generated dungeons, collect treasures, master magic, avoid traps, solve puzzles, and of course cleanse the dungeons of all the evil minions within. Every dungeon is unique, no two locations will ever be the same.

It’s not all dungeon-crawl. Feel at home in your very own Wizard Tower where you can enhance and customize the way you play by building a thriving town, brewing your own reagents, crafting or buying your own gear, powering up your magic, and recruiting help.

The game is fantastic. A little bit of a grind at times but still very enjoyable.

Fun, and the control works nicely on mobile. The only glitch we can think of comparing to the desktop version is that we can’t see the enemy status or ally’s HP.

Great rogue game. You don’t need to spend any money to enjoy it.

We’ve tried tons of dungeon games and this is the best one we found. Perfect blend of what we were looking for.

It’s a great game, but we kept getting destroyed and it took us forever to realize it’s because bows do 1/4 the damage that swords do. By the fourth quest bows are almost useless, which is a shame. Other than that it’s a fantastic app.

We love how the creators made the home land on an island and every time a follower comes back with you they get they’re own little shop. All the monsters and bosses are so fun to try and beat and we love how each spell has a power and each pet has a different power.

Awesome. Polished. Fluid gameplay and well designed for touch. By far the best elements of hack and slash combined on an App Store game. And free? You can’t go wrong. Download this and play the hell out of it. This developer deserves serious credit for this game. Well done.

This game is amazing, and we’ve already beaten it in only about 20 hours. Now that’s a great amount of time to last for a game. Heck it’s longer than lots of the cod games. But, as it is, I’d like to see more things added, maybe some new item cosmetics? Or character customization? We’re a sucker for how things look and always liked watching our weapons go from crappy to looking sharp. And if possible. One of the best things they could add would be a multiplayer function. Dueling and co-op missions in this game would be SOOOO fun. Otherwise only adds we’ve watched or seen have been the dailys that we chose to watch. Best game on the AppStore. D&d fans will love it. And so do I. (BUT PLZ MORE CONTENT we WANT TO KEEP PLAYING).

The game itself is an excellent tactical dungeon crawler and one of our Top 10 iOS games all time already. 5 stars there and 5 again for a Free to play model without irritating ads and paywalls. You can choose to pay for certain things or choose to watch ads for some in game currency but noting stuffed down your throat. So we give it 10 stars out of 5.

Excellent game. We wish they would make more. This company is talented, and a bit overlooked in our opinion. A solid ARPG all around. Add more levels and characters? Keep up the good work, and don’t give up supporting this title and company everyone.

-it is NOT a pay-to-win type of game, although there’re in-game purchases. We’ve only bought the gem-doubler, which helps early game. -you will NOT be forced to watch commercials -there has been frequent updates. Quality-of-life improvements show the developer cares about player experience -lots of loots, quick leveling, level cap is currently 800 -it’s all about creating your own builds by tweaking equipment to get the upper hand over enemies, who level with you. Having a lot of gems won’t necessary make you stronger. -very fun game! We really really wish the backpacks were bigger, but it’s not a deal-breaker. To developer: Good job!!! And please keep updating the game!

We played through and cleared the main quest in about 21 hours. A fun rpg that is not necessary to spend any $ to advance.

The quality of this game is so high, you’re going to be surprised it’s free. There are NO in-game ads (unless you voluntarily watch them to get extra gold, which you can get from dungeon-crawling anyway, making them totally optional). We enjoyed the randomness of the item drops’ stats (it’s a lot like a tile- and turn-based Diablo). Give it a try, the price is right!

This is a great-looking, well-balanced, high quality dungeon crawler with a fast turn-based combat system that is very mobile-friendly. There are huge amounts of loot, a varied magic system, tons of possible tinkering, and basically endless dungeon delving. The story is so-so, but does it matter in a Diablo-like? It also eats battery. Otherwise, an insane value. Buy the $5 gem doubler for a no-fuss premium experience. Or don’t, and just get huge amounts of fun for nothing. Worth it either way.

Diablo meets rogue-like. Casual enough to be played in small increments, but with enough variation in the gameplay to keep you engaged. We highly recommend!

Hard for us to keep up with, but loved the graphics and the look of the characters. Definitely worth giving a shot!

We love this game. If youre looking for an mmo rpg for your phone, this is it. But please, please, please add customization of characters! Also, it would be awesome if the helms and amulets and boots showed up! Otherwise, we love it!

A bit weak on plot and not our usual cup of tea (I prefer old style turn-based RPGs for mobile) but this was a great game. Good use of strategic elements, great leveling system for gear and character, etc. Id ding it half a star for the lack of a guide and general inability to see all your stats and what they affect, but you can figure out most of it. Also, it should be noted that this is a port of a premium Steam game, and we dont know how much the drive to monetize has changed the frequency of gem drops. We make just enough to keep one favored spell from each school at or near our level. We did buy the gem doubler (essential) which gives us four gems every time we level and there is usually a chest or elite monster that gives two more gems, for a total of around six per level. That means you can forget about upgrading the shops and may not be able to open the occasional rare chest that requires gems to open. You can get a bit ahead if you encounter more than one elite monster and buy viewing adds to get daily gems, but those extras get used quickly. On the plus side, the merchant that can be found on one of the floors of every dungeon always sells gear that keeps up with your level. Monster gear drops are good sometimes as well, though the merchant stuff is usually better. After playing for a day or three, we wouldnt bother watching ads for gold. Youll quickly make millions selling gear you dont want. Use the gauntlet (a kind of endless dungeon) to get ahead as soon as it appears and you will be OP for the main quest. We recommend going gauntlet until defeated, do side quests until the next main quest is ready, go main quest. All in all, a fun game but one that lacks a strong story. It goes back to the old school, where the story is a bare bones prop, but thats okay! Try it, youll probably enjoy it.

This game is crazy good and provides hours of gameplay. There’s just this one bug (unless its intentional) where if a Thief steals one your equipment pieces and you summon an Anomaly, the Anomaly turns the Thief into an object resulting in you losing your item.

We actually love this game, its extremely fun and addictive. We think the art style is wonderful and how little you need ingame purchases is great. Unfortunately, a large problem is the thief mob, we were very far into the game but once they stole our main armor, we were done for. We were unable to kill them and we lost our things from dying. We were then unable to continue the game or enjoy it because everything killed us or a thief struck again and we lost even more. After that point, there is no point in the game so we ended up deleting it. Id still have the app if that wasnt for that major game problem. We hope there are improvements in the future, good luck with your app and hopefully no one else has the problem we did!

We are unable to get into the app. We are on an iPhone 5s, have plenty of memory, and all our other games work just fine. We would love to continue our network favorite game, as we had just beaten Leventhe, but each time we try to open the game, it crashes. Please fix this issue.

This game is addicting, but lacks any real substance. Leveling and gear upgrades somewhat pointless. There is too much loot causing you to constantly switch out gear every few battles. Repetitive monsters and dungeons, end up battling same five monsters over and over. Big complaint: our character stopped leveling at level 200. We contacted support three times for an explanation as to why and never got a reply. Disappointed in their customer service.

Game was fun until some time later an XP bug will kick in when our character stopped receiving XP for creatures killed (will still receive XP if NPC kills the creature or for quests completed or traps disarmed). Completely weird and random but game breaking as level up becomes super slow. Only started with the latest update: have another iPad with an older version and it plays fine: am at level > 100 in that. Regretted updating this game.

No updates, no new content, level 800 max. Would love an expansion. Come on devs.

Easy 5 stars if not for the ads (the ones that say mini game loading especially) that just crash and give you a blank screen and your forced to reload, this happens way too much. Everytime you press the button for free gold or gems you have to hold your breath. Would have been a super game if not for the crappy ads.

Gameplay is subpar, the art style is not so great. Dialog text font makes us want to gouge our eyes out. Very very very overhyped for such a mediocre game.

Crashes upon startup when does work requires a Internet connection.

Can not learn spell in the only element way to make it the best. Boss has no signs to realize what is boss, look like same as the other monsters, but can kill player in 1 hit then No ways to return the game with that silly reason :( Delete character , delete the game.

We cant play the game… We open the app and it starts loading but then it crashes… Please fix so we can actually play and review the game…

After running through 51 levels of the Gauntlet, we wasn’t dying so we abandoned the quest out of boredom. We were interested to see where we placed in the Leaderboard and now we notice it only shows we did 51 levels – but doesn’t give us a score?! We have to die to get a score?!! Please fix this. We only stayed in the gauntlet as long as we did because we were interested to see if we could set a record. Is this close to a record? It would be great to know. Feels like such a waste. So depressing. — our previous review was 5 stars…. … It is easy to become addicted to playing just a bit longer to get the next piece of equipment. It is virtually perfectly polished with clear attention to a smooth and efficient interface. We bought the double gems upgrade and have been playing through the game just fine. The fact that is even possible without additional in-app purchases is why we are leaving this 5 star review. So refreshing to have a fixed payment level.

Monsters level above/with you so you always outgunned. Idiotic devs to make such a game , not fun at all. Looks great but thats it. Stay away from this company.

Three turns and lost everything. Bye bye days of work.

You spend real cash for upgrades, then in one turn, thieves steal all of your armor, you die and permanently lose your "paid for equipment". The writers of this app designed this to not happen until you’ve played for weeks and invested real cash. Saddest rip off ever.

We mean its a fun game at the surface but constant deaths that ruin the levels monsters that steal your best gear before you die and lose it all constant spawning of monsters and since its a turn based game you have only 1 instance to drink a potion before death all in all a huge waste of time. Defiantly needs better mechanics only got a 1/5 because we couldnt go lower.

Best game released this year! Large amount of content with plenty to do. Feels & plays like a premium console game. Bugs/issues have been quickly fixed with updates, Devs are really invested in making this the best game possible! Our favorite game since Crashlands :)

There are a lot of turn-based dungeon crawlers out there, and lord knows we’ve tried an awful bunch, but this one really stands out in terms of quality, depth, and (yes!) loot system. Extremely fair monetization as well. Warning: addictive!

At the end of the game it takes us to a code screen and it gives us the option to "clear" or "x" out. When it first loads it says it’s a bug and it sent out request to the developers, but when we press clear it clears the code on the screen. When we press the "x" button it keeps playing the end music and it’s a black screen. We hope the developers can see this review. :)

Your character doesn’t look much different when you attach clothes. The leather vest has green sleeves under a brown leather vest, when you equip it your character puts on some kind of robe that looks nothing like it. Equipping a helmet, boots or necklace dont show up on your character either. Its not a huge deal but we would definitely love to see how our character looks with the clothes we equip. It just adds more depth to the game. Other than we love it, the story so far is good, the battling is fun, there’s plenty of loot and being able to teleport makes it a lot less tedious to travel through dungeons. If our characters looks changed we would gladly give it 5 stars.

Almost perfect dungeon crawler, but it’s tied to our iPad at home. Without cloud saves I’d have to bring the iPad everywhere, and we dont want to have to replay the past few hours all over again. Will be a 5-star game if they ever include cloud saves.

This game is special. It’s honestly a shame it does not support cloud saves or cross device saves. If it did we would not be able to stop playing. Sadly going to delete it. If you only game on one device or don’t bother with an iPad, go for it this game is legit.

But 800 level limit is not good. Plz unlock level limit.

This is freemium done right. As a previous premium game on pc, the dev seemed to know he’d have little hope of selling premium in today’s mobile climate. So released on ios with a few tweaks to give his game a chance of survival on the overcrowded, freemium-happy app store (source – his comments on toucharcade forums). Very few freemium shenanigans here – all we’ve purchased is a gem doubler ($5.00 iap), and we’ve been progressing extremely rapidly. We can see doing very well having spent no money at all (though we’re a firm believer in supporting devs through purchases, if you enjoy their game). The game itself is super, SUPER fun. Grid layout like a tactical rpg, but moves much, much faster. It’s technically turn-based, but the fact that you only control 1 character keeps the action moving. The depth comes in selecting the proper spell and/or weapon(s) for any given encounter. A loot lover’s dream. One of our favorite rpg’s on the app store, and probably the best on ios in the last year. Support this dev so we can get more games like this ported over from Steam, without all the timers and paywalls and general freemium shenanigans that so many of us have grown to loathe. Just fantastic stuff here.

A simple, accessible RPG with a unique turn-based structure that allows you to stop and think, yet is still fast enough to provide the excitement of an action RPG. It’s not as deep as, say, Titan Quest, but there are still diverse challenges and meaningful decisions. Art is fantastic, story is enough to keep us interested. As the developer has written, it’s basically a premium experience once you buy the $5 gem doubler.

Addictive game play. We’re loving it.

Incredibly full game. Very fun, loads of loot (think diablo or borderlands). Money element is not required by any measure. Only thing missing is cloud saves. Wish we could pick up on our phone when away from home and our tablet.

Nice game with great potentials, but crashing almost every couple minutes kills the mood.

So, we purchased the gem doubler as recommended to bring the gem drops up to match the desktop version. We were still constantly gem-poor, however. Suspecting a rat, we picked up the Mac version for $8 and found that while the gem drops are equivalent, unlike the desktop version, the mobile version uses gems to unlock literally everything. Pets come as drops in the PC version but they are unlocked with gems on mobile. Want to upgrade your vault? PC version uses in-game gold while the mobile version uses (guess what?) gems! Spell upgrades? PC version uses earned spell points and the mobile version requires (you guessed it) gems!! The mobile version is a cash grab. Play it on your laptop/desktop for the definitive experience.

Been so busy playing we forgot to write a review sooner. It’s been years since a game has grabbed us like this gem has. It’s a turn-based loot filled dungeon crawler, along with a base to go back to and buy/sell/store/enchant/level gear. Really enjoyable game, and you can try for free. We highly recommend you try it and if you like it you can support the dev through the gem doubler.
