Dive into ROOMS: The Toymaker’s Mansion

«ROOMS: The Toymaker’s Mansion» is a unique puzzle game inspired by sliding puzzle and platformer games. In a twisted mansion made of rooms that slide like puzzle pieces, the player should find a way to the exit by moving rooms and using what’s inside them. As the player explores the mansion, various gadgets are introduced and make the puzzles more tricky and challenging.

Set in a fairy tale-like world full of magical objects and spooky stories, the player takes a role of an innocent little girl, Anne, who was accidentally trapped in the mansion. As the story unfolds itself, the player goes through the dark legend of the twisted mansion.

The game has 144 levels which are divided into 4 themes (mansions). Each mansion has basement levels where Anne can use her special abilities like using a cellphone to teleport, placing a bomb, and moving all rooms at once.

«ROOMS: The Toymaker’s Mansion» is a long awaited, official and fully realized sequel to «ROOMS: The Main Building», critically acclaimed and an award winning IGF finalist game released globally on Nintendo DS, Wii, and Steam.

-Unique puzzle mechanic proven in its predecessor
-144 puzzle levels=96 main storyline levels + 48 special ability levels
-4 beautifully crafted mansion themes and music
-Complete storyline with two endings

Wow, what a game. Very well crafted puzzle game we have played in a while.

We love this game. Not only do you have rooms in three challenging mansions but you also get a basement for each mansion and a daily puzzle to solve. We’ve had hours and hours of fun and challenges. We especially like the hints, which come in handy when Im really stuck. One thing we would like to ask is why if we purchased the attics on one of our devices (iPad) do we have to purchase them again on another(iPhone)? We received a response from the developer. Thanks, it worked. "Hello. Thanks for your review! You don’t need to re-purchase IAPs. As long as you have logged in with the same account, you can tab "Restore" in the setting menu to restore your purchases. Also, if you have logged onto the iCloud, you can save/load your progress between multiple devices."

Love the story, graphics and puzzles. One of the best purchases we have made.

You can never restart where you left off. Theres no syncing across devices. Money to spend on everything but every time you open the app then you have to start all over from the beginning. Whatever we bought is long gone with no way to get it back. The game itself is beautifully designed but we cant take the constant starting over. Would give no stars for this reason alone.

Ok, we just finished the final level, and WOW! ANNE herself turns into a puppet!? When we found out, then the credits then changed to a puppet walking through the hallways of the mansion. It was scary yet funny! You guys did a great job, and we thought of another name for a game that could continue the series! Rooms…… The Tallest Tower! Instead of being Anne, you could be a little boy named Max, who, just like Anne, is full of curiosity. The puppet would be Anne, while you try and find his kitty all the way to the top of the mansion. You could edit it so that the mansion is HUGE and TALL. When Max finds his kitty, she is kind of… A puppet-kitty. Then Anne comes out of nowhere and chases Max… To the puzzle room. His lantern, the toymaker, was expecting this, so then, Max was forced to touch the puzzle piece. Max shrieked as HE became a puppet, and Anne and his kitty were free. How bout that?

Our dad even has it! Omg, thank you for the puzzles! You know… In a original, The Mansion, the puppet was really scary, so after 5 years, 5 years! We found this, and discovered THIS puppet wasnt too scary! Because of this, we’ve become a bit braver. Some people might say too hard! Or too easy! But we think this is the best. Game. EVER!!!!!!!! The hint and undo system REALLY helped! In fact, we use it whenever we need it! Also we wrote the review called WOAH and that was just on our grandmas iPad! 5 years of fear, this had brung us hope and help, so tysm!

Though sometimes this game is hard, it is always rewarding to finally beat it. The graphics and sound are terrific and we enjoy even replaying some of the episodes.

Compared to the previous rooms games well theres just no way to compare. Kind of 8 bit graphics And very low end.

Why is she wearing a mask? Isnt it enough that we have to wear them all day? Instead of relaxing with this game Im having trouble breathing!

We want her to be wearing her mask still tho!!!

On the iPad 12 inch some functions in the upper right corner of the screen cannot be done, you have to stop at Basement 3 level 12 because the hint and go back clock icons block the room down and up arrow functions. No solution.. Had to stop. Ruined it for us. We guess Ill try it on our phone .

Wonderful levels. Bonus Basement levels means the intrigue doesn’t seem to end! Get it! You won’t be disappointed.

This is a really great puzzle game. Just the right level of challenging. More please.

Hard but fair, well-presented, an interesting style of puzzle, and generally addictive as hell. Stayed the course to finish the main set of 96 puzzles; looked at some of the bonus basement puzzles but the variants they throw in were a bit too much for us. Still, quite a triumph by the designers.

We could do with the score keeping. Takes all the fun out of trying things to see what happens. The snide comments on how poorly you did we could definitely do without and the terrible grammar sets our teeth on edge. Otherwise its fun like the first one was.

We just purchased and download this. There is no sound at all. Tried rebooting phone, uninstalling and reinstalling app, checked volume on both phone and app, verified phone not sending sounds to anything but speakers. Our IOS is up to date. Any idea what caused this? UPDATE: we did double check to see if Other games have sound. Everything else seems to have sound and music. Ringer is turned up. Im stumped. :-/

So we should have looked at actual screenshots before purchase to see how TINY the rooms are. 50% of the screen is useless framework. We cant zoom in to see the rooms more closely and this hit walls we didnt know were there. Also, no button to turn off sound. Im trying to listen to an audiobook or podcast while we play and cant stand the repetitive background music of the game. Wishing we hadnt spent $5. We were drawn in by the potential of puzzles.

This is an extremely difficult game once you reach a certain level. There isnt really any help feature. While its beautiful, it would be a lot better if it allowed some hints other than the outlining of how the rooms should shape up.

Not so good. Looks and plays like an in-app-purchases game for short-attention span players.

We love this game. We would much rather pay a couple of dollars and not be bombarded with ads. The game is easy to learn but takes a bit of concentration to solve some difficult puzzles. Thank you for a very smart game !!!

The art design is layered, textured and gorgeous. The sound design is reinforcing, inspiring but does not Overwhelm the game play. The game play is progressively challenging, innovative and sooo satisfying when you solve one of the puzzles. This is the only game we find myself making time to play. Highly recommend.

This simply has to be made by the same developer as Rooms:The Main Building…. Which we purchased and cant find here anymore. Luckily we have it on a DS cartridge form as well, so that cant be taken away. We wish we knew what happened to that game because we loved it too! Please bring it back!!!!! We also just found out there is another one for the Nintendo Switch! Ill be buying that as well!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful puzzle game!!!!!

We became acquainted with Rooms: The Main Building about 10 years ago. We are ecstatic they have made a sequel! The game has a basic premise like the sliding block puzzle 15 where you slide blocks around to get the numbers 1-15 in the correct order. Of course, this puzzle is so much more with all the mechanics of ladders, keys, puppets, etc. We have only finished the first of the 4 mansions, but we are having so much fun. If you like sliding block puzzles with advanced mechanics, this ones for you. Congratulations to the developer for keeping this alive for younger gamers to enjoy!

The game itself is pretty easy. We love the artwork and subtlety of the clues.

OK, if you like that sort of thing, which obviously some people do. We quickly found it to be boring .

We adore this game. It was done by Com2us and then fell away and Big Fish got it. But we wanted to keep playing it on our iPad. Thank you….. Kisses for bringing it back. And there are free walk through. Thank you.

This is a bargain for the amount of play you get out of it. It took us about 3 weeks to collect the 3 puzzles pieces for each of the 108 levels. Its possible to complete the game without going online for level walkthroughs, but we did have to use a notebook and pencil to help figure out the correct moves for completing many of the levels in the shortest number of moves to collect all of the puzzle pieces. Having a back button to allow you to undo moves would take a lot of the tedium out of collecting all of the puzzle pieces because you wouldnt have to restart every time you made a single wrong move.

Simple idea done right. Familiar concept of tile sliding but with protagonist within looking for a key and the door. Its a slew of fun and lots of twists to keep things fresh. Oh and the other thing, sheer volume of levels we can play is amazing!

The game feels great. Puzzles get challenging at a good pace and the music is really enjoyable. We want the soundtrack!

Excellent game, creative and innovative puzzle mechanic, 144 levels, achievements, worth the asking price. No freemium nonsense. Highly recommended for puzzle lovers with no time limit.

We love the dreamy feeling of this game. And we could do it easily because the puzzle we played as a child was the emerging game system. We cleared 20 stages on the spot. This game makes us wonder about the next story. This is a well-made game. So we can easily recommend it.

The game feels like a well-made movie that you immediately fall in. You get to decide how the story goes unlike when you watch a movie. Even better.

This is an amazing puzzle game. The graphics are terrific and really challenges you to think. We love it!!!

Great system, graphics, music. Its a great puzzle.

What every game should be like, tons of content without in app purchases you get the full version right away…. Well done !!

It worth to spend time to it! Once you play it you cant stop.

Gorgeous graphics. Very difficult. If, like us, you can not visualize the moves in your head you are going to have to really work at this game. We think its worth the effort. We had one problem: when we cleared the last level the first story page came up in Korean! The rest were in English – very strange. We would also like to put in a word for those of us who dont play connected to the internet. We cant see the trophy page, and dont get credit for the ones we have earned even when we are connected. Not everyone wants to live online.

We used to think that when you pay for the app from the beginning its already worth it. But not for this game. Too simple and boring. Yes, nice picture and different represent of such games, but still, doesnt worth to pay for it at all.

These puzzles are very hard. The hint system is completely inscrutable. Youre cajoled into starting over if you dont solve it in the minimum possible moves, and rated on your performance if you solve it but take too long. Because of these degrading computerized assessments we’ve knocked it down from five stars. If you are able to ignore the assessment criticisms from the computer its still a beautiful, fun game. (Though why our heroine always wears a pathetically worried look remains the final puzzle to us.) To developer: we like the puzzle difficulty. We dont like the character judging us. Replace it with a move counter thats always on screen and thatd be fine.

This is NOT a part of The Room series of games despite every effort to try to copy its initial look. Boring and repetitive from the start.

Good game up until this level which doesnt allow you to use the cellphone to the blue phone. You NEED to be able to do that to solve the level – and a walkthrough online even specifies that. FIX THE BUG!!

Does not even load the first level!! Cant play it.

The graphics are polished and beautiful and the game is very enjoyable. Sort of a sliding block mechanic but with lots of complications (teleporting telephones). 5* for sure.
