Dive into Roterra Extreme – Great Escape

Orlando’s on the run!

Chased by the Queen’s army. Lost. Defeated. This fallen king is no one’s idea of a hero. The world itself is working against him. He’s a failure; just trying to survive.

But wait! With friends in unexpected places, perhaps his cause is not lost. After all, villain or hero, it’s all a matter of perspective, right?

Return to the magical world of Roterra, where “up” is relative and you may need to walk across the ceiling or down a wall to find your way. Rotate, flip and spin specially marked cubes to shift the ground and reveal pathways. With new environments, harder puzzles, and new characters, Roterra Extreme will provide hours of expert puzzling fun!

Take your time and plan your moves: in this perception-challenging world, things are rarely as they seem, and the correct path is often not the most obvious one. In this jumbled world you may need dozens of moves to complete the path and escape the maze, but don’t worry about getting stuck: just flip a cube to find a new way out.

—STORY OF ROTERRA—
Once upon a time, a daring princess defied stereotypes and took her fate into her own hands. Roterra is inspired by ORLANDO FURIOSO, a 16th Century poem about love, power and perception.

In Roterra, Princess Angelica must turn cubes to transform dead ends into doorways, toggle switches to reveal staircases and bridges, and even flip the world on its head to find the path and overcome the obstacles set in her way. The puzzles tell the story of a young girl, at first tentative with her newfound magic, growing empowered as she escapes from increasingly difficult mazes created by her power-hungry brother, Orlando.

Traversing the cube-shaped puzzle world of Roterra to regain her rightful place as Queen, Angelica discovers that sometimes the journey matters more than the destination, stereotypes are not to be trusted, and often the only way forward is to change your perspective.

Roterra Extreme™ continues the story from Orlando’s perspective as he runs for safety when his plan to get rid of Angelica falls through. This time, the mazes are created by the world of Roterra itself, punishing Orlando for stealing his sister’s magic. Orlando’s journey is hard and frustrating; his “helpers” are often not very helpful and the world’s magic takes every opportunity to turn him around and block his path. He even finds himself hallucinating as he becomes increasingly more panicked and lost. Where Angelica’s story is one of triumph and self-discovery, Orlando’s only concern is escaping pursuit and finding a safe place to regroup.

Find out what gamers are saying about Roterra Extreme – Great Escape:

Loved the original Roterra, but this one is so much better. We pretty much blew right through the original game, but Roterra Extreme actually gave us a little bit of a challenge. A couple levels stumped us enough we had to put the game aside and return to it with fresh brain and eyes. At those times, we had the a-ha moment and figured the portion of the previously stumped level. If possible, we would love to see another sequel to this series from the developers; we enjoyed it this much. With multiple characters requiring movement in the correct order on most of the levels, the challenge becomes compounded. If you liked the first Roterra, you will love this sequel. Bring on another sequel, please!!!

This game is tough enough to keep your interest, but doable with only a tiny bit of help from walkthroughs on YouTube. Great graphics. Love the music. Ready for more!

The game is interesting, but had a serious camera issues. For example, at beginning of II… You cannot see where to going. Its the same in all the game. Potential, it really have. Need more development.

We really loved the 1st Roterra and craved more, so we bought the 2nd Extreme and WOW! It is such a great game! The puzzles are definitely more challenging (more complicated and longer) with the same creative fun graphics and story line (now we follow the princesss brother who has stolen the crown and is running away). We are having a great time with this and get a sense of accomplishment each time we figure out an impossible looking puzzle (but theyre really not impossible- they just look crazy when you start and little by little you work it out.) we think our IQs going to jump 10 points by the time we finish all the levels! So FUN! Keep up the great work, cant wait for more from these amazing developers!!!

We have played both games and have enjoyed both games. Great maze to figure out.

This is a really good game, and it is quite a bit trickier than Roterra The Fairy Tale. BEWARE, however, to make sure your device is supported to play the game properly. We have been playing on an iPad Air, which is not supported, and we cannot go beyond level V. We sure wish we could because we love this game.

But just as fun! This one has more challenging levels where syncing the various characters comes into play. Well worth paying! Doesnt disappoint!

The puzzles have some unexpected mechanics. It took a while to figure some out but not as difficult as we thought.

Was a big fan of the first one. It only took us a couple of days to finish and was waiting and hoping there would be a second one. Thank you, this one is outstanding. Not to hard but much more challenging. Its been a couple weeks and Im only half way through. Nicely done! Definitely a buyer if a 3rd one is in the works!

One of the most challenging games we’ve played. Played and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the first game and this version truly takes it up a notch. One must think out of the box a bit (No pun intended) if you want to complete it. We did finish but it took a while and there were times when we had to walk away from it for a while. We dont use hints when playing any game but this one came close. Extreme pretty much covers it. Nice work folks … Looking forward to the next rendition.

When we get to a certain part of game and step on blue square the game crashes. Playing on iPad 2 mini update 12.4.

When you get to Part 2 on Level 5 and step on the red square it keeps throwing you out of the game. Cant go any further.

This follows on the beautiful art and game play of the first Roterra. The music also is a great addition to this version. The similarities end there in this challenging sequel. These are more difficult and it took us a lot longer than 3 hrs to finish all the levels. We see some can call it frustrating but when we were perplexed we just left and came back with a clear head to try again. If you get stuck come back and try again. We would never have wanted to miss out on the puzzle levels in the second half. This is great if you want some amazing logic puzzles and for the price quite a deal. We use it as an escape and it feels great when you solve them. We hope they make more like the original and the more extreme version.

Loved playing both Roterra stories. The king hallucinating in the desert was just an example how fun these graphics were to play these games. The difficulty off the levels advanced very well to keep us engaged. Just had a problem in level 10 where we jumped on the save before completing the bridge. Couldnt go back so had to start the level again. No big deal, just as much fun the second time. Im telling friends and family to check this out.

We just finished Roterra Extreme and now Im hungry for more, we especially loved the jigsaw puzzles. Very challenging. Hopefully it wont be to long before another game comes out.

We love the game but it can be really challenging sometimes. Can you post some hints for level 6 plz?

We need no other game. Please, just keep making more of these games. The extreme version just makes us think harder and longer. Developers , once again, thank you.

Fun and challenging. Also very rewarding when we see a pattern and figure it out. But need help on level 9. Just started this level and its insane!!!!

We loved Roterra and the Extreme version has all the bells and whistles of the first. This version is much harder though, to the point of being frustrating. We think you need to allow your players to see ALL of the board somehow. You cant see your exit point, you cant strategize well.

We loved Roterra and this one too. Extreme, as the name suggests, is a lot more challenging. There were a couple of times we couldnt see the solution so took a break and when we came back was able to work through it. It was pretty fun and challenging game play, we were hoping for more levels. Thank you for a great set of games.

Loved the first game. If you havent played the first you should play it first. Have to admit these puzzles are a lot harder and we had to put it down and come back to some areas multiple times. Very pleased the developers put this one out so soon after the first. It remains unique and fun although sometimes frustrating with this one. Loved the new desert with scorpions and birds. For .99 it is a steal even if you dont make it all the way through. More please.

We loooved Roterra, and so downloaded Roterra Extreme. It definitely is challenging, much more so than the first game, sometimes too much so, where it isnt as fun anymore. Extreme is a pretty accurate description. Some of the levels seem very long too. We really got stuck on level 5, and had to look at the walkthrough to figure out where we went wrong. Now we are on level 6, was doing ok but suddenly am stuck again! After our last save point we have hit a dead end but there are no hints or walkthroughs for this level. Also, we were having trouble with the game shutting down sometimes, and Id have to redo sections. Editing: we were able to figure out all the remaining levels by myself! And most of the glitches seem to be fixed. We added another star because overall it was pretty good.

On some levels the video flickers. Others dont let you see enough to adequately play. We like the new challenges but some are ridiculously hard. Levels 1 & 5 for example. We had to go to YouTube for the solution on level 1. We dont like to do that. So far nobody has posted on how to get through level 5, so we have to wonder if theyve made it through. The first game was fun, challenging and somewhat relaxing. This one leaves us frustrated.
