What Makes RPG Sounds Fantasy Worlds Stand Out

RPG Sounds Fantasy Worlds is an ever growing collection of generative procedural RPG Fantasy Worlds Soundscapes with optional light scripts and light effects when connected to Philips Hue or IKEA® TRÅDFRI. (Also works without lights).

High quality audio samples curated by experienced sound engineers and brought to life with our SoundScape engine. It's a truly innovative and immersive way to add soundtracks to your tabletop games or other RPG gatherings.

Fast loading and easy to understand User Interface makes it easy to reach all the controls and create your own custom settings within a Fantasy World.
Save custom presets within worlds to create the perfect fit for all your needs.

Use the Soundboard, unique per world to play singleshots when you need them. Even when the soundscape is not playing.

Our unique node based soundscape engine, which is behind the beautiful designed and intuitive user interface uses techniques which are used by top game designers and audio engineers to mimic nature's way and randomness.

On top of that our soundscape apps use a unique and simple to use occurrence slider to let you decide how often a specific bird, monster or any other sound is used in the preset. Still it's totally unpredictable when a specific sound is being heard therefore producing an amazingly random natural sound experience.
It can run for hours on end without getting repetitive like other sound engines do.

Community Insight:

We do really appreciate how the app can be used while simultaneously playing music from another app. Syncing Spotify and this makes a perfect atmosphere. However, we think there should be more biomes. Maybe jungles, victorian cities, libraries, or even sci-fi/cyberpunk cities and spaceships.

Love using this in our sessions. Id love to see support for more smart bulb brands added (GE CYNC specifically).

We got this app awhile ago and it was our favorite out of all the apps for hue lights. We dont play RPGs but loved the fantasy scenes. This sure wants to make us learn how to play though. We play other types of board games. Sadly we lost this app when our phone died and we guess we didnt have it backed up. We searched for this app to get again but we must say this is a very hard app to find. By accident years latter when buying another hue light app this one finally popped back up. It is way better than we remember including even more fantasy scenes.

This app is a huge boon to any gaming setup. When we first opened it the amount of options felt a little overwhelming compared to other apps of a similar kind; however after a few minutes of noodling it clarifies itself and is actually quite intuitive. The biggest recommendation we can give this app is such: Although other comparable apps within the sector have perhaps more intricately designed musical compositionsthey still operate on a loopwhich becomes grating. If youre reading this review you know what we mean. That wolf howl loops for the 10 millionth time. That one flurry of notes you loved the first 30 times becomes incredibly irritating. By adding the complexity of a simple sound board (something Im used to seeing but absolutely understand why at first glance its a lot), allows the players or DM to shush that silly sound effect. Or apply a significantly smaller occurrence. For example: Im playing a game called Sleeping Gods, sailing the high seas. Though just clicking one the options Sailing Overseas is great-it inevitably falls victim to the loop conundrum. This app beautifully skirts its by allowing us to drop out the music, or add thunder or whatever. You can really strip it down to bare essentials-these small effects allow the larger, orchestral, sound effect ridden moments to really shine! Earn it. We hope they continue to expand their offerings in app. We understand their want to have some type of ease of use but their should be a master board option that allows you to access every sound effect across all genres. PS we were inspired to write this review because the storybook in Sleeping Gods told us we entered a damp forest and we went to the app to find a comparable genre and found one titled Damp Forest.

Syrinscape seems to be the big supporter dnd sound board. Its not good, with a horrible interface. Ive used so many. Same story. Janky music, bad interfaces, and in the end just went back to a Spotify playlist. Not with this app. This sound board is clean, works well, you can overlap your Spotify music on top. We just hooked it up to our hue lights and its crazy this thing is so cheap. It auto changed the colored lights. Things light lightening light up the room. We even used it for our Christmas doing Spotify music over the tavern background. It was great ambiance. Crazy that this thing doesnt have 10k reviews.

The ambience is really good and the controls are fantastic, and the light control options are very cool. But there are only 3 free options and everything else is paid dlc, and well other apps do that too they normally have a few more free options to play around with, that said this one is has a lot of interesting stuff and features. (edit we may buy the all worlds dlc, because compared to the other apps which are monthly subscription based and way more expensive this is actually immersive and properly sets the tone while sounding good).

The free version so far has been a great help we love the way you can switch off music at a flick of a switch especially when the moment calls for no music, its also nice because it doesnt just stop abruptly it fades out which is nice and not jarring So far this has caused us to want to spend the $16 on the full version and see how our games can turn into an add filled adventure with YouTube to a fully immersive adventure with RPG soundscapes Thank you for making this app cheap and really easy to use would recommend to any game master out there who is looking for music and ambience Its almost criminal how this app doesnt have any full reviews or more traffic. Well done we cant wait to see what this developer has to offer in the future.

We can set an audio and visual scene with just this app, tap to toss in immediate sound effects, set the mood, increase tension and energy. App was a little buggy when we first got it but subsequent updates have smoothed it out and improved it greatly. We run it now during every gaming session. Update: This app just keeps getting better as they release more scenes. We couldnt more highly recommend.

Im amazed at low the number of reviews for this there are. As stated by other folks, this is high quality and VERY user friendly, the latter we really appreciate it. The most valuable $15 Ive spent on a DM resource.

We live this sound system, combined with the Hue lights overhead and the hue strip on the table our group is fully immersed in the story line of any dnd campaign we are in! The customer service is quick to respond to any technical issues we have thrown at them as well.

This app is awesome. If you are playing Pathfinder, DnD, or literally any other role-playing game, this app adds all of the ambience that you need to help players realize and visualize the world theyre in. You can pay one dollar for a set of sounds, or $10 for all of them, which is what we did. Literally worth every penny.

Ad on Reddit got our attention. Glad it did, cause this is a useful app to add a bit more immersion to a tabletop game. Im still playing around with the functionality and figuring out what it can do, but what Ive messed with so far will definitely be implemented in our games. The only problem we see at this point is the limited musical selection, but that isnt much of a problem given that the soundboard is the main draw. Being able to create sound effects when appropriate is a thing that our players are going to get a kick out of. Very happy with this purchase and looking forward to using it in-game.

First thing about this app we noticed is how very user friendly it is. The amount of customization is amazing with most sounds having frequency and volume sliders, it really lets you make it sound just the way you want. The 3 free starting sets give you a ton of options that will add life to your RPG and the in app purchases we found very reasonable(1$ per set) to take things even further. Had a slight issue with our first use of the app, but after sending feedback we got a quick and helpful response from the developer who addressed the issue and replied in under 24 hours. We were blown away by the friendly customer service and we couldnt recommend this app more. Try it for free you wont regret it! (and if youre as happy as we are pick up some extra sets and support a great dev!).

We had the thunder app made by the same people so we thought Id give this app a shot to see how it would work out for game nights with the crew and was blown away immediately. The amount of thought put into this and how easy it is to use makes it a worthwhile purchase.

It honestly taught us a lot about how to use our smart light & sounds combined.

The only thing that saddens us is how long it took us to find this app! We found it as a recommended app within another hue app. We couldnt find it through searching on the App Store. Which is a shame! Because you really are a hidden gem!! On another note, the app itself, just absolutely amazing! Love the trigger sounds and the control we have over each aspect of sound on the board (sound layering). The amount of control is phenomenal!!! We can turn off the music and keep the ambience or we can change the volume of the cave drips and trigger some bats as we narrate. Didnt even hesitate to buy the full sound set. Worth every penny! Please please keep up the amazing work.

Look no further … Ambiance, sound, music … A far cry from the old days of tape recorders, records and flashlights.

This app is incredible and works so much more smoothly than any of the other options. We use iOS shortcuts to trigger all of our music ambient sounds, so the shortcut integration and ability to mix with Spotify are incredible. The sounds are great and customizable. Developer is incredibly responsive and is actively working on this app. We reported a couple of bugs which will be fixed in the next release. It just gets better and better.

The music clips are high quality and the scenes are very customizable. Very easy to use and intuitive. Our only request is to add more single shot sounds and have a tab where we can access all the sounds in one place rather than restricting specific single sounds to their scene.

Stop looking for other apps. This is the app you need and the one you searched for. In ever write reviews for things but we made an exception this time. Cant stress enough how perfect this app is for our d&d campaign. Being able to select certain sounds and also play our playlist off of Apple Music. At the same time is amazing. Only wish is if there was a way to import our music to the app to control them both at the same time. 10/5 stars.
