This game is unbelievably trash at times, but what we want to really focus on is the annoying OVR number system. In the World Cup, each team has an overall rating from one to one hundred, which seems good at firstuntil the teams that you really want to play get thrashed by New Zealand, England and the like. This might be just us, but if we were a Cook Island Maori, then we would want to play as a Kuki Airani – but wait they have a low ovr which makes them unplayable.
Trash game. Dont waste your time.

What is wrong with developers? Do you seriously expect us to pay on and on and on to get energy, or players or fitness points or gold ( because you can only buy good things with gold)?? We want to buy a game and play it not have to worry about if we have enough energy to play( have we mentioned you can buy it)? We are so irritated with developers who think they can control where when and how we can play. From the little we saw, it had decent game play, but its deleted now. Developers make a game and sell it for whatever the market will bear! Dont try to nickel and dime us to death, because we for one, am not playing that game!
We just got into Rugby about 3 months ago. We came from the U.S and am visiting South Africa now, where they love their rugby. Its not so adored in the States. We enjoy playing with all the different teams here, and that the game keeps it to real rugby as much as possible! We do wonder where Rugby Nations 20 is though, since its already 2021. We would like to see a Career mode be implemented again. As well as Multiplayer and Online mode to play friends and people around the World. And let us get creative. Give us different rugby balls to play with. Also bring on the 7s! That would be fun! Ok, hope the creators or team reads over this! Its a great game, we just wanted updated rosters and possibly a few ideas above added.

The game is great! Its a good way to learn how to pass the ball and find open space on the attack. However, this game could use better defensive strategy. Too many times we see our defense get out numbered on either side of the ruck, and we cant do anything about it. Id like to be able to shift defenders to either side when necessary. Although we do like being able to add as many defenders to the ruck as we want. However, that only gives more room for our opponent to score. Id rather have the option to move defenders accordingly.
The controls are so bad that make the game unplayable. Especially the add player and kick button are the same, which makes us kicking away the ball we worked so hard for from the ruck. And we cant offload on time even though we swiped as much as we could while the bot team offloads like a champ. The controls unfortunately make this game so frustrating to play.
Automatic player changing is terrible even more so when youre playing a difficult team. Passing is ok but sometimes itll just do whatever. Turnovers make no sense, and usually happen near goal line. Save yourself time and frustration and dont download this game.
Extremely buggy, players get stuck in virtually any position (offsides, stuck to one another a mile away from the ruck, or just running in place in the middle of the pitch), very minimal and low effort gameplay, no way to tell how a turnover could occur especially, you could have 7 guys dedicated to an unprotected ruck or vice versa within milliseconds and you wouldnt know the outcome. Better off playing the league version to get the useless mechanics out of the way.
Make it easier to get money to level up players, and less tokens to develop stadiums, especially when we have all of them.
If you can find a better rugby game out there let us know. Because this is the best one we have found so far.
Needs wayyyyyyyyyyyy better graphics.
It was ok (not much better than any other rugby game over the past 5+ years) but we’ve reached the Major league level with our club and have won each international tournament a few times. Now it seems that the difficulty level has increased by making our players immediately fatigue and almost stop once they have the ball and stay like this for the first half. Sometimes it improves late in the second half. It happens every time now in any league or tournament play. That will end our play of this game.
This games so predictably rigged its not worth the download. Dont waste your time.
We have to give 5, but there is a problem. In tournament play after the group stage the winner plays the runner up in 1st. Round. We won our group but ended up playing another group winners backtoback.
Need to fix bugs on foul ,players tackling, and World Cup point system. Love the franchise mode, could add international friendly.
In Rugby nations the developers give you about no energy and it makes us mad but, overall has great gameplay and we would recommend this to anyone.
A number if bugs, like the absence of any offside line (which makes it more accurate if youre a NZ fan we guess). Also, why is the entire SA starting team white except for Snyman, who is white. Kolbe, Dyantyi, Kolisi etc. Are all white in this game. Irish fly half, Jonathan Sexton is black though. Very strange.
There is a bug sometimes when scrumming. The ball never gets out of the ruck and the players just keep pushing forward. We have to leave the app and once we get back in, its taken one bar of energy which is very disappointing.
Computer never misses kicks and never gets called for offside or forward passes which Id does quite frequently.
USA 69 in rankings?? Are you kidding? Same as Russia?!? Absolutely ridiculous! We dont know what broke company made this game but the rankings and gameplay are terrible and havent been updated in years. Just shows the low budget and little time put in to this games development. Dont play it. Wait for a real developer who knows what theyre doing (EA, 2K) to make a decent rugby game, cause this aint it.
How is this worse than rugby nations 16?? Surely it should be better. Maybe the graphics are better but besides that, for a genuine rugby player/supporter this is far less fun, realistic, challenging.
The game is great but theres some little things that can be fixed and added like when talking it glitches and maybe give better ratings to the Polynesian teams we would be great if the were a tournament just for Samoa,Tonga,Fiji,new zealand.
The AI needs to be a bit more difficult to score on but im thankful someone is creating a rugby game!
They are a lot of problems in this game that needs to be fixed. The defensive line is always shattered. They have the full back make most of the tackles. It doesnt always award the scrum when a forward pass is thrown. On the attack random balls thrown, it makes u take drop goals and the wind is never consistent.
First, The opposition never kicks. Second, opposition kickers never miss conversions. Third, players cant pick up the ball first time Fourth, you cant make a tackle on your own 5m line.
Theres plenty of bugs this game has. One most notable is the wind direction that comes out of nowhere. One second the wind is at 2 and then all of a sudden as soon as you kick for goal the wind picks up 13mph out of nowhere. Secondly the penalties conceived stat needs to be fixed. When the opposing team gets a penalty (forward pass or dangerous tackle) itll deduct from our winnings when our penalty sheet is clean. Finally Im not sure if its just the way the games programmed but sometimes Ill be in the ruck 2m from the try line and Ill randomly knock on at the end of the game, or the opposition will turn the ball over when we have 3 men in the ruck compared to their 2.
This game is amazing! We have no issues with this game.

No doughy this is the best rugby game ever we play rugby in real life and we wanted to have a game that was realistic and this is the only good one we man we love it.
We LOVE this game in all, but we noticed the tackling was a bit strange. Whenever youre dude is running, the other team seems to tackle you by like the tips of their fingers, or not even touching your guy! Please change this.
When you get to the World Cup quarter final we couldnt tackle the opponent at all they ran right throw us and we ran down the whole field and got to the on yard line and they gave the opponent the ball.
The 3 lifes that this game gives you is a biggest turn off we wish this game didnt have this weird lifes and we would rate in 5*stars but now NO THIS GAME IS NOT GOOD YET….. PROBABLY WILL NEVER BE.
We think you should make it so you have unlimited energy or it refuels in like 2 minutes (like rugby nations 18). Also, make it free again because we told our fellow rugby teammate that it was free and awesome but he came back to us a few days later and told us it costs 4.99! We ran into a bug where we tacked a player from the other team so hard that he lay on the ground unconscious for a while before getting up and running away. Make it so the ball does not just bounce forward but randomly like a real rugby ball. Squib kicks (also known as grubber kicks) should bounce up like it does in real life.
Please, modify the stamina. 3 staminas are the worst that can make game bad. Even we have to watch 9 ads in order to full our stamina but also there are no ads . Funny :D.
