Love this whole adventure series!
Great animation, voice over and interesting story. Not like runaway 1 but still very good. There are minor bugs like dialogues going into infinite loop sometimes, game freeze sometimes and the hut appears on the map before you passed the challenges to actually find it. Some of the puzzles make no sense and require he hint system. Joshua is well voiced but annoying character. Anyhow, excellent game.
We previously left three stars due to the many issues with pretty blatantly racist stuff that wasnt changed with the port but am now downgrading as the game has since crashed countless times and will not reopen. We deleted and reinstalled hoping Game Center would store our progress but no. All progress gone and we dont feel like playing through again with all the other glitches.
How annoying. The game is over halfway through because of a bug. Stuck in a loop in the Witch Doctor’s hut. We reinstalled only to find the problem reoccurred. This shouldn’t be happening considering the game has been out for so long and this is not the company’s first release. Very disappointed with 2.1. Meh. We enjoyed the other games in this series very much (I recommend them) but we don’t have time for this nonsense.
We have an IPad Pro with the extra memory and an updated operating system, and yet have had several loops already. Now, just barely into Chapter 3, the game froze completely. We restarted the game, and it freezes now when we even tap to start our saved game. We restarted the IPad itself with the same result. We had just finished the first Runaway, and was preparing to plow through the series. We guess Im glad we didnt buy them all right out of the gate. Please tell us there is a simple solution to this that doesnt involve starting over – the is plus to these games is they take a long while to solve, but thats also a problem if it freezes. We want to 5 star the game… But we need to be able to finish it to do so!
Beginning of the game and almost 1/2 way is totally playable but after that it crashes everytime! We have restarted the game & reinstalled the game and nothing works. We have an iPad 4 128G.
The perfect amount of rooms to explore at a time. Thoughtful and meaningful puzzles that lend themselves to the storyline. Background music and voices are a professional touch. Very funny at the same time. They are singlehandedly saving adventure game play.
Had no issues, game was challenging and we can’t wait for part 3!
The game not optimised with iPhone 6 please fix it we love this games.
Hangs frequently, and now won’t load at all. Puzzles ok, but lengthy dialog scenes are tedious.

This one keeps freezing everytime we ask the girl at the tiki bar to borrow the chalkboard. Fix soon, please! These are our favorite games on iOS!!!!
Wow, it looks like such a fun game but we’re not even through the first part of the game and have had to restart our iPad about 5 times. We got stuck at the surfer guy on the beach telling us a story, and not even a hard boot would get the game to start back up. Had to delete and am downloading it again. NOT A GOOD SIGN!! Lots of conversation loops you get stuck in and have to restart your iPad. Please fix!
We’ve purchased nearly all ur games, and love them! We’re especially a fan of the Runaway series. However, there’s a glitch which is keeping us from being able to continue to play the game. And it’s right in the beginning! :( There’s no option to retrieve Ottos goggles from the quicksand. Both hotspots give the same response, "look" or "touch" quicksand. Regardless of which hotspot we click, or which option we choose, he doesn’t actually grab a branch and get the goggles. He refuses to touch the quicksand! So lame. Please, we beg u, fix this! We will immediately change our rating, as we normally love ur games. Thank u!!

Please fix the crashes and repeats on this game. It looks like a great game. Paid for it,now we can’t use it. Please update it!!!
Contains minor spoilers: This studio makes gorgeous games with stellar visual style and strong VoiceOver performances, but every one of their games that we have played has left us feeling cold because they simply lack any of the charisma that this genre needs to be great. They simply don’t have the magic that the old LucasFilm greats like "Monkey Island", "Day of the Tentacle," "Sam & Max" or even "Full Throttle" had. The humor, story and overall writing prowess just isn’t present at Pendulo Studios. What is present is incredible artistry and animation, which they have in spades!!! But no amount of great visual style can make up for the fact that their characters have no character. And to make matters worse, this game has tons of branching dialogue that goes nowhere, is rarely funny and winds up simply making the gameplay experience longer only for the sake of making it longer. And if you play this genre often, you will know that one of the most common conceits is that you need to activate new challenges or clues through the dialogue between characters, and this game is no different. But what is different is that the dialogue is essentially tedious and pointless, revealing very little relevant information while also simply being uninteresting and/or unfunny. This forces you to either suffer through literally hours of recorded dialogue to finally get one nugget of information that allows the game to proceed, or if you are like us you will start speed reading the text, skipping all of the dialogue (despite it being well performed). And what fun are either of those two options? Especially on mobile. Not to mention the entirely non-sensical solutions to the "puzzles" in the game. Sorry guys, but using snow shoes to cross a rope bridge would solve nothing. Hence another reason why their "clues" system (in which they only provide 1 single clue for even the most complicatedly inane "challenges") should probably have been less esoteric and actually help your gamers with a series of escalating clues instead of spitting out gibberish from yet another un-amusing yet well performed (and racist) character. Often times theses clues shed light on nothing. Pendulo deserves major respect for the quality of presentation. Their games are maybe the best looking games in the entire point and click genre, but when the game literally requires over 5gb of empty space on your iPad in order to install despite only clocking in at 2.8gb when all is said and done and (as documented in the other reviews) freezes, crashes and resets progress constantly, one has to wonder if it is really worth the cost. Even at $0.99.
Didn’t you guys test this game before you released it. We’re using ipad 3. Bunch of bugs and freezes.
We paid for this game for it to freeze twice we want our money back.
This game is so bulky it keeps crashing… Can’t get out of the dialog with Kai in the kahunas hut!!! Dialog keeps playing over and over !!! Fix please… Game looks fun if we could continue!!
