Ive played this game on and off since May of 2003. :) we still play Old School on our mobile devices, and the current RS3 on our PC and the same mobile devices. Really nice to be able to play the same game on all the devices.
Very good and fun game but theres a super annoying bug where your whole menu buttons will disappear like your map, setting even inventory all the buttons go away so you cant do anything and have to restart the whole application.
The app will be fine and than it just sends our to the ipad home screen and we have to reopen and loose progress on bosses. Impossible to do fight kiln and fightcave.
It has been getting updated and getting better and better.
We think the original RuneScape will always be our go to but this game gives a certain quality of life to it that the original RuneScape did not have. It also has options for the hardcore nostalgia players if you want no guides and perma death options. We think the main grief we have is the treasure keys and the lack of free content available outside of events and main story line that once completed you may as well buy the game. Which we guess is fair given you can still level most things you would expect in an RuneScape game for free. Overall we recommend playing with friends as solo play is kinda rough especially for perma death play through.
Our Bluetooth mouse simply will not work with this game.
We understand that RuneScape is a PC game. But some of us actually play on mobile. And its getting really annoying not being able to do some PVM content. Its acceptable when the difficulty comes from the limitation on key-binds for mobile. But with new bosses and telegraphed attacks its not acceptable. Im on the lowest graphic settings possible, and no matter what world we pick and what fps we get, the telegraph always spawns late and we get killed by the attack. Nothing we can do, not a skill issue, just a hard wall. Get insta killed by attacks the game is supposed to warn you about, but does not load them until youre dead. Jagex. Sanctum has been out for over a year, gate of elidnis too and now with Amascut. Telegraphed attacks are becoming the norm and yet mobile cant even load the on time. All we can think of doing on our end now is moving to south korea for insane WIFI.
App crashes after teleporting. And for some reason, get error message when trying to use the GE. Didnt do this before. Yes app and iOS 26.1 are updated. Dont have these issues on our iPhone just on our iPad.
Theres no sound once you start playing. Every time we go to settings to turn it back on, it just never comes back on. As well as the graphics will glitch out and the world will just be black but you can still walk around freely.
For as long as this game has been around, you'd think they could implement some proper controls. We installed this for this first time ever, getting tired of newer stuff that either auto-plays or is all flash with great graphics but no substance. We were shocked to find this app doesn't have controller or keyboard/mouse support. You'd think it being cross-platform would mean they could easily implement key/mouse support. We use our M4 iPad Pro on a docking station with an external monitor, so clawing at the screen with our thumbs like an animal is a no-go. Big disappointment. We didn't give it one star because of its history, but it deserves a lower rating for forgetting basic things.
This game has so much content you will never get bored. Now that the game is on Mobile it makes it even better! Give it a chance and you will be stuck on this game for life.
We try and login but it say error login and say Im logged in but we cant play.
We were able to login for the longest time. Now we cant, and we get an error message all the time.
We love playing this on the computer and on our iPhone, but on our iPad, it is frustrating because we have a keyboard and mouse case for our iPad and we cant use the mouse at all. Really, it just needs the mouse and keyboard support and this would be the best game on the App Store.
The new school RuneScape is just awful clunky and lack luster for what it once was. Theres a reason why OSRS is so much more highly reviewed, want more dopamine per drop? Go oldschool.
RuneScape is a really good game. Ive played years ago. Now that its on mobile, itll be really awesome if it had controller support.
Love this game and we only play it on mobile. Itll take awhile to get used to it. Once you start grinding leveling up, that gets addicting. Always use a quest guide, because they can get confusing. Overall Ill always play this game and love how they are still coming out with new updates.
Biggest issues on iPad are constant login issues where it says there is an issue signing on and to check internet connection, but can sign on our phone or computer no problem. Also when typing in GE a lot of times if we are typing and try to click on the item without first closing the keyboard it will mess up and double the word we already typed out.
Ive been playing RS for twenty years with the same character. We also love using our tablet for gaming. So we really, REALLY wish this game worked in this format but it simply doesnt. The menu layout is bizarre. How hard is it to just run the icons along the bottom and tuck the revo bar above it? Without being able to access the whole revo bar, combat is not possible. Its just not reasonable to expect this layout to work as is. Also, the home teleport map is blurry. That is just such an embarrassing show of incompetence. No wonder almost no one uses this version. Please rethink the UI of this format and maybe, just maybe, put in one single ounce of effort here. Then this app could be a real contender. There is obvious potential here. But for now, we remain chained to our laptop if we want to play. Too bad. Tablet gaming is what fits our lifestyle best now.
Great game loved playing it since 2009 . Im happy its on mobile now but our only issue is the fact that our hotbars and such doesnt save and resets every time we hop on. Its very annoying having to rebuild our auto skill and our actions bars with items and skills.
For some reason when we log in on the mobile app it takes us to the browser on our phone and then when we get to select our character it says theres an error so we cant play.
Been playing RuneScape since 5th grade and now Im 30 . Cant get away from playing this game ever . A lot of things we would say we dislike but too many things we do like that outweigh the bad.
Overall the app works well. The game has many aspects and can be quite difficult to engage with all of the content on the mobile app. Combat and anything that requires precise clicks is not good on the app. This app however, works great for anything that requires minimal engagement and effort. Many skills in the game require you to click on something every 30-90 seconds. That makes this app perfect for that kind of use. You can still progress your account without having to sit at a computer all day. If you want to engage with later game PVE content you will need to use a computer though. Some people can use the mobile app for late game content. But the average player will not be able to do that.
Need to make mouse and keyboard compatible with the app. This would allow players to do SO MUCH more with game content on the mobile platform.
We started playing in 2006 and 75 percent or more of the worlds were near maxed with players. We really miss that. PvP was also AMAZING. Especially the world that was open world PVP.
Rs3 has been our go to game for years on pc and mobile. Some mobile aspects could be updated but with Apple being who they are with their rules. Im sure some of the UI is the way its because of them with the auto correct issues. Runescape yall did great keep up the awesome work.
Ive unistalled the app and restarted our phone but the game still says the game client needs to be updated so im unable to play right now.
We play mobile and after updating today we open the game and it says game client needs to update tap to open store page. We tried reinstalling but same thing happens. Is this just an update issue with mobile.
When loading up the game it says this client needs a update jagax can u please update it to for iPhone 16 please we played rs for over 10 years and would greatly love for u guys to update the game client so we can continue our grind that started on pc over 10 years ago thank you.

We used to use a mouse while playing on our iPad because it was easier on our wrists than tapping with our fingers, however after one update sometime ago, the app fails to recognize mouse clicks. It will recognize movement but not clicks. In the past, there was little to no issue. The UI has always felt clunky and we never feel comfortable doing any high level content like pvming. We basically stick to skilling because of this and the prevailing mouse issue, so it feels quite limiting.
Ive deleted the app & redownloaded, still saying game client is needing an update but when we follow the link to the app store, the only option is to Open.

We were looking into MMO to play and between this and others.. This is the best choice. This and OSRS. (Old school version of RuneScape). Only thing that isnt pleasant with this version is all of the annoying outfits. Everyone is walking around with obnoxious walking animations, glowing wings, glowing capes, and when people teleport with their overridden Tele animations it freezes our screen. We heard they are going to test phasing out MTX, but omg outfits and colorful titles etc are so annoying to look at.
New game is clunky, overheats, and all our stats from 16 years ago are in this game and not on the old game.
The game seems great but you should really add controller support, we feel like that would make the game seem more original.
Please allow controller support through backbone mobile controllers! Would be awesome.
We love RuneScape mobile. Im finally playing RuneScape again after years of being away. The game is as we remember and we want to leave five stars but we wont give it anymore than three until full mouse and keyboard support is added and other UI is improved. Great game but the playing experience is disappointing to say the least.
We love runescape 3. But this is beyond ridiculous, we have a brand new ipad air with an m3 chip and runescape crashes so much its every 60 seconds almost. Our old 10th gen ipad had the same issue, the game just crashes.
Seems to crash or lose connection all the time, regardless of if Im on wifi or 5g. No other games or apps have this problem for us.
We think its a great game, we still play after 15 years years with various accounts, various friends, various adventures.
Nice to have when your away from your pc works better than we expected it to now we need a bigger phone.
The fact we can play RS on mobile amd Ipad is great but it needs more regular qol updates. PVM feels really bad on mobile, loot tabs amd other pop up menus cover imprtant things the tap detection is awful at times. Youll click on one thing snd it taps something else nearby instead. Crashes on lodestone travels quite often etc. Hopefully they iron out some issues. Add keyboard and mouse support with the pc layout for tablets would be a big game changer.
Its the mobile version but its very well put together for skilling. RuneScape is by far THE best game for longevity play and classic gaming. Been playing twenty years and going strong.
Great experience even on mobile. People complain about the game being on mobile only because of the PVM experience and their actions bars. Who cares? Game runs amazing on mobile. 10/10. Those that gave a 1 star review are the cry baby sweats of the game.
This is a game that wants to be plays on latest devices. Dont try to use your 4-8 year old iPad on this. Newer 2024 and up iPads run this game great. Had multiple crashes with our older iPads but new ones we have no issues. Missed the game and glad we can play it again and go for 99 all.
Im enjoying it. We wish we could customize the ui like on pc.
Been playing on mobile since launch and its been pretty good. If you like rs3 this is a nice way to play. Im pretty disappointed tho that when we try to type in chat the game always changes and breaks the words we type. This has been going on for over a year now and Im just not happy that its been broken this long. Fix the chat on mobile its not that hard to prioritize a chat bug.
This game is a technical marvel. Ive had some issues with sporadic crashing, but that in no way detracts from the engaging gameplay and captivating storyline. Theres a generous amount of content here available without any purchase necessary, but believe us, if you chew through all of the captivating quests, and grind your way to the top of every skill, youll probably be left with a burning desire to invest in a membership to see more of this absolute classic. You should definitely give this a go. Im glad we did :).
