A never ending game with the most beautiful scenery, as you progress you realize this is the ultimate metaverse! Your in a world with people from all around the real world, you can choose ironman mode where if you die, you die. Or if your a casual player who plays in your free time like us dont choose ironman, if you die you can pay a small fee from the grim reaper, yes you can visit him anytime in his office. Intense pvp if you kill another player you get most of there items, you can opt out of pvp if your not into combat there are plenty of ways to get rich from mining, fishing and rune crafting, you can build your own house full customization, the world is yours own it.
Love this game but we’ve been only able to play on our phone but for the last like month we’ve been having issue with our game freezing hoping this might be able get someone to help us solve our issue.
There is no better way of putting it the game has saved us from constant work And life stress. It is mindless skilling that helps us recharge myself at home or wherever because it’s mobile which is cool you can do everything you want in game just the same as pc. It’s also questing & fantasy/magic lore which is cool to us. We are happy with game… We’ll give 5 stars.
Love the game. We mostly play on our laptop where we have zero issues. We also have zero issues on our Pixel phone but when we try to play on our new iPad, it crashes anytime something is going on. Today, it repeatedly crashed during the Halloween event and we wasnt even on W84. Im shocked this game for Apple goes without being tested (seemingly) on iPads. Ridiculous. Its also insane that the mobile version doesnt have an in game clock. Come on.
We downloaded the game we have a iPhone 14 but its real laggy and crashes how do we make it actually run?
Amazing game to play! Definitely a toxic player base at times though as you can see from the recent reviews. People literally have come to the App Store just to complain because their feelings got hurt by a recent update.
We are new to Runescape and appreciate the detail in the things you can decide to do and who you want your character to be. Also, we think the improved graphics in this version makes it more appealing to us. Hardcore mode is another thing we like. One life is good enough.
Wish it add controller support.
The developers have shown that they are attentive to player feedback by engaging with the community and working with the player base, even in recent times where the community is difficult to work with. Hopeful that this already great game will continue to improve as the devs and players cooperatively inform the future.
20+ year vet. We enjoy RS3 now just as much as we did when we started.
They heard the player base and listened to make great changes. We love this game for the last 18 years with countless hours. The newest skill necromancy was almost perfection and anyone that fears EOC should really give this new combat style a try as its very fun, easy and future hopefully of all combat styles.
Im at a loss for words. We just started the mission with Death who took us to the underworld to become an apprentice necromancer, after the tutorials of our new powers there was a treasure chest jumping in front of our character so we clicked on it. It opened up a window saying underworld bank. We deposited a few items and all of a sudden all our inventory and our gear went into this bank and disappeared. We walked over to our Necromancer trainer and clicked on the chest next to him which opened up the same window, but none of belongings were there. We submitted a bug report and since we cant recall the names of any of our gear and vaguely remember our inventory Im at a loss unless the devs can somehow locate what we had and return it to our character. Other than that, we really do not want to play this game anymore and it hurts mentally to make that decision since we’ve been playing for years. UPDATE our missing items were at the physical location at the bank in the underworld.

The game never really crashed before necromancy, now it crashes all the time.

Can you add controller support on mobile.
We play on a gen 4 iPad and it crashes every 30 minutes or so. A lot of improvements over Old School tho. So far we really like it. If they fix the crashing Ill love it.
We loved the mobile app for a few days until it wouldnt let us log back in. It kept saying to check our internet connection, even though we were on our own wifi and every other game we could play fine. We can even play RuneScape fine on our pc, just not our phone. We reset our router, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and restarted our phone but nothing helped. We turned to the internet for answers and it turns out we cant log in unless we use a vpn. Its working again for now but we just wanted to write a review because Im sure other people are having this same problem.
Layout requires absolute precision to navigate within your bank and other various options. The amount of advertisements upon logging in asking to spend real money for purely cosmetics that in no way affect gameplay is getting old. Other than that, good gameplay. No real story unless you partake on various quests and quest-lines. The ironman experience is extremely rewarding.
This game has become nothing but forced FOMO MTX (fear of missing out, micro transactions). The devs have stopped listen to player feedback then blame the players for what they ignore. RuneScape, sadly, was a great game but is now nothing but higher ups in the company using it as a pump and dumb for investors. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Map names are gone so how am we supposed to navigate without themplease help because we prefer this game since we play on mobile.
We would love to play this game but it wont run longer than 5 min before it crashes.
We log into RuneScape, we start playing, get halfway done with a quest and for SOME GOD AWFUL REASON we AM AUTOMATICALLY KICKED OFF and told to login again!!! GET RID OF THE 5-10 min logged in then get AUTO KICKED for no reason. Fix that and it will be a 5 star and 2 THUMBS WAY UP review.
Lets start with the UI. It needs to be more customizable. Logging in is impossible the print is size 2 font. We cant even click on our saved worlds with the apple pen because the button is way too small. Secondly the mini map needs to be adjustable. We just grind skills no pvm and trying to move is impossible but the map is also so small its not as useful. And there is plenty of space to increase the size. Lastly this app crashes constantly on our iPad 9 and it doesnt matter if the world has 100 people or 2,000. It crashes at least 4 times in an hour.

The recent addition of the battlepass brought irrefutable p2w and annoying grind into the game, and now it is only a matter of time until the buffs become obnoxiously overtuned to get players to pay.
The company that owns this game is taking it in a direction that aims to squeeze as much money out of its consumers as possible. From the moment the original founders sold the studio to now has been a slow and heartbreaking decline into mediocrity. Now with battle passes, loot boxs, and the constant psychological manipulation utilizing fear of missing out: Among almost every other mobile game investment buzzword crammed into this long abandoned passion project, we can no longer say we recognize or recommend this game we once loved.
Long standing player here, the game has seemed to become a race to the bottom to simplify everything as much as possible, and is a paid game with a lot of MTX. Feels like its becoming one of those mobile games. Its not p2w, depending on your definition of win, but there are worrying trends and we think its not a good time to get into the game.
This game has so much potential, but the devs are set on ruining it with ptw MTX. This is the only game we have ever played where there is a subscription cost you have to pay to enjoy the majority of the game, and has insane mobile ptw mechanics. If you are interested in playing RuneScape go play OSRS, there is no MTX and the community is actually listened to by the devs.
But it is falling to predatory and intrusive MTX systems and promotions. Removing gameplay aspect and selling them back to the players through MTX. Not a good time to start playing.
Jagex has lost their way! NO ONE wants the hero pass! Now they are going to lose whats left of the RS3 player base because of their own greed. If youre thinking of trying RuneScape, give OSRS a try!
Imagine if you would, a battle pass you need to spend 20 dollars to unlock only to expect 70% or more of the player base unable to compete it? While already paying for membership. Actual numbers from moderators. Stay away from this mess of miscommunication and broken promises until heros pass is removed.
Probably one of the worst updates ever released after the evolution of combat in terms of destroying this games player base. Uninstalled and unsubscribed. Jagex never listens to the community when it comes to micro transactions in their game.
Jagex, Mods, and everyone involved with the production of this game, actively hates the players that are supporting this game. With how they are ruining the game with micro transactions and garbage. It is unfortunate that we cannot recommend this game in the slightest.
Get ready to get your pockets fleeced by this company that only caters to whales that spend 100s on mtx currencies and battlepasses. Dont waste your time on this joke of a game.
Jagex introduced a new cash grab called Hero Pass. They rolled back some of the worse features of Hero Pass. As a long time player, the Hero Pass has opened our eyes to just how much Jagex has neglected the game in order to focus on charging players as much as possible and provide little in return. Have cancelled our long standing membership, and asked for a refund. Any goodwill built over the years is gone. This will not be forgotten.
Osrs is where the bustling mmorpg we all fell in love with is at. Runescape, rs3, continues to push 50 hour grinds locking content for its playerbase and veiling each update with micro transactions and fomo. The recent heroes pass, jagexs play on a battle pass format system, removes easily completed daily content for a grind 4times or more than lets say epic games and a fortnite pass. It is said communication and feedback is wanted however time and time again we are left in the hands of the devs who could not be more out of touch with what made runescape great in the first place. Btw necromancy was half a skill release despite it being the first combat skill to scale to level 120.
Recent major game update introducing a seasonal pass system on top of a pre existing paid membership system and a pay to play loot box system has put microtransactions over the top. The core RuneScape game is a good one filled with great content for any RPG lover but the MTX content is now intrusive and unavoidable.
Could look past previous max updates, not anymore. This battle pass simulator is now worse than your average summoner mobile game. Even gacha games are less intrusive.

Company does not care for the players, only care for their own pockets. Game is pay2win. MTX is sadly taken over and devs refuse to acknowledge players concerns. Sad to see the game go out like this.
The game is barely playable with app constantly crashing. Multiple crashes per hour which are especially annoying when youre in an instance for a quest. Id give 0 stars if we could. Mobile has become the easiest way for us to play and now we cant barely do that.
We love RS! We have been playing for 20 years. However, the Hero pass is going to push us away. Its just another way to try and milk players for money on TOP of a sub. Nah Im good. They keep pushing more and more MTX. New player? Dont bother, its not the game it once was and they just want your money at every turn.
The game as evolved to be pay to win. The new battle pass takes hundreds of hours of playtime to complete and can be conveniently skipped by paying hundreds of dollars. The pass provides late-game PVM buffs and experience boosts that go far beyond just cosmetic MTXs. This is in addition to all of the other methods used to increase revenue such as requiring a monthly subscription, keys for receiving bonus experience, paying to see statistics of experience gained, a cosmetic shop, etc. Lastly, Ironmen have lost all benefits to completely dailies. We would not recommend this game in its current state.
We played this game for many years. Lately especially with this latest update they keep trying to milk the players. If you expect to get something done in this game, you better be willing to pay hundreds of dollars because of all the MTX. Dont waste your time.
We’ve been playing this game since 2006 and we just got 120 necromancy the day before this hero pass came out. As someone who has personally dabbled a tiny bit in treasure hunter keys/bonds and quickly realizing they arent really worth it, we largely ignored mtx in this game and just really did the freebie keys, proteans and daily challenges. We will not be renewing our yearly membership when it expires in the next 2 months. We know this isnt the fault of the jmods and more an issue with the higher ups being greedy. But this update completely ruined the game for us being a long time player. Yes we tried it and played the game today. But the daily mission xp you get does not translate well into much of a reward. We get this is a long term reward plan being a battle pass but Im already level 50 in this battle pass and all we’ve seen so far is maybe 50k worth of xp lamps and already being half way done with this hero pass? Somethings wrong here. And then you have the audacity to charge to skip levels it the battle pass do yourself a favor and if you like this game please speak with your wallet and they will quickly realize the mistake theyve made. This game is cool but they sell you upgrades and you get percentage buffs based on MTX, they also charge for banks pace, and services that should be included in game. Very predatory company out of England. Its comical how big the dollar signs are in their eyes.
We lost all our progress in the game and we were high lvl and now Im back down to lvl 21 and dont have none of things we worked hard to get and lost billions in coins and real money lost!! This is not cool!! Can anything be done about it?.
