Had no problems with the game. Was challenging and fun…

Little buggy, little short otherwise we loved it!

The first player to sign in starts the game in chapter 3, and can only go through two screens before the game locks up. Signing in as the second player will let you start the game from the beginning. The puzzles are very good, but several of them will stop responding to the touchscreen, requiring you to close the game down and open it up again. Big Fish doesn’t say anything about fixing these bugs. Other than these problems, the game is OK.

Only did the sample game, but it was okay. We DIDN’T like the HO scenes that used pieces of items to find, and was glad when we came to a word list instead. But the game itself was only fair. Not great. We found a lot of it boring. The movements weren’t logical, either. Lots of back and forth just to add time to the game. Illogical things done, too. Not our cup of tea.

This is the second puzzle to stop working but does not allow us to skip either. Big Fish Games does not have support and does not reimburse so we’re really stuck.

We were really enjoying this game at the beginning. We found the graphics good and the storyline very interesting and engaging but then the frustrations began. On three or four games, we were other in the middle or had totally solved them and everything froze. It would not open and give us our items to continue with. We wound up having to skip just to get the items. We DID check the guide to ,make ale sure our answers were correct. One was the game where to need to slide the circular pieces to their correct matching places. There was a red side and a blue side that included a heart a crown and a skull then Roman numerals we through XVIII we believe it was. Pretty easy to tell if you have things correctly placed. We would give this one 5 stars easily if this issue were ironed out but seeing how long its been with the other peoples complaints, we doubt it will happen. Shame because it would be a great game.

Froze up! Can not do anything. Please fix or return our money.

So we deleted and reinstalled the game which fixed the no skip option in the mini game! Im really enjoying this entry to Sable Maze! Not a favorite prior to this one but we really like the story and fantasy feeling that the graphics bring with it. It fits the storyline. Please, if you find a glitch early on just delete and reinstall as it fixed our problem! Every feature important to making games of this genre are here. Also a match 3 alternative to redundant hos if you’re like us and have played just about every one of these games released to date and have bored slightly over ho scenes at every corner. Much appreciated Daily Magic! Storyline is critically important to us and you’ve brought us something fun, different from saving your beloved prince, child or sibling. Gamers of this genre will enjoy! Thanks kindly! We’re so glad this glitch reared its ugly head before we bought it! The skip button does not work in the mini games, well at least in the one where you have to turn on all the lights but one effects another and so on. Quite frankly we hate that specific type puzzle and become frustrated easily, our flaw we know but the option to skip it is always appreciated there but it only deletes our last move or starts the game over. No skip! We hope you fix this little irritation because the game seemed great otherwise! We’ll quickly change our review if so.

A most excellent game in all aspect. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this game. Loved all the mini games, lots of variety. The only issue we had was a strange glitch. After we completed The Fantasy section and received the Fantasy Tome, we were sent to library to begin the next part. We were immediately kicked back to Fantasy and could not go forward or back. We finally just started over and it was fine.

Collect coins to buy figurines.

To All Reviewers: we experienced an uncharacteristic glitch in this game. During one of the HOSs, we reached a point where all interactivity became stagnant. The only textual hint we noted was that "there is a lever missing," which was referring to a device. We swear that we touched upon every pixel on the screen–to no avail. Out of frustration, we used an infrequent hint, which directed our attention to the same device with the same hint. We repeated the previously mentioned steps, and nothing activated. We then did something that we rarely do–checked the Strategy Guide. Unfortunately, the SG did not delineate a specific step-by-step solution for this HOS; rather, it showed a pictorial snapshot of the scene with the identifying letter of one of the main steps in the guide. We tried the same one more time, and we finally determined that we would have to finish the HOS by playing the match-three game. Thus, we were able to continue playing. Minipaws: we are way past the point of your glitch. We do remember that there was an intro as you stated, and then we clicked play to be taken to the screen outlining the modes of difficulty. We selected a choice; then we were off. We’re sorry to say that we do not recall when and where the wolf appeared. Another player mentioned a flaw as well, causing him/her to delete and restart. Apparently, this game might have some programming flaws; so players, be careful before you purchase. It has been said that in some way or another, reading books can stimulate the imagination and influence one to concoct thought-provoking fantasies that empower our minds. Well, we happen to agree; however, you might want to close that "book" you are reading while engaging in this game. You find yourself traversing through a labyrinth-like library of perilous traps and puzzlements in search of these unique books, which hold treacherous powers capable of ending the world. The illustrations are depicted in miscellaneous settings, with emphasis on the connection between the environment and the distinct themes within the library. Some of the places you visit are observed as follows: a dire-looking castle with pointy towers and a terrifying statue of Camilla, famous female vampire, kneeling with her bowl of blood; a lush, tree-covered jungle with rainfalls that flow over rocky cliffs and a ferocious dinosaur, which growls at you from its gaping mouth bearing razor-sharp fangs; and the fog-enshrouded cobblestone streets of 19th century London where you get to investigate a mysterious murder. The graphics are presented with illustrations that appear slightly faded and unclear; the details could be sharpened up a bit. Since the action predominately occurs during the dusk hours, the coloration is composed of mostly darker shades, with attention on the typical varying tinges of blue and purple. You may customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. We do not like the erratic pop-up of inventory items when the incorrect item is chosen; why the game is programmed with this irksome quirk is beyond us. In custom mode, transport to labeled locations is delayed by a second or two; available actions are indicated. The HOSs are highly interactive and comprise various fashions. Some of the HOSs are action-driven in which you will interact within the scenes in a puzzle-like way; for example, you will manipulate office equipment for the purpose of obtaining a permit to enter the estate. The puzzles are fun and diverse, with their altering themes suiting the storylines of the books; one type is to help a horseman reach the castle by manipulating items to bypass obstacles in his way. You acquire two types of collectibles; they can be well camouflaged within the backdrop. Overall, we have to agree with Catalina. The game is passing by quickly, which is a sure sign of brief playtime. Even though we do admire the twist of exploring distinguished literary-themed environments, the story does adopt the cliche of locating mysterious objects while transporting to different places. Moreover, once we were within each setting, the appearance of the scenes and the tasks to effectuate seemed very similar to other games we have played; we guess we were expecting a little more novelty. We actually prefer the bizarre and nightmarish-reality-based storyline of Twelve Fears. For these reasons, as well as for the mediocre graphics, lack of a journal, and the previously mentioned glitch, our true rating of 3.5 stars is lowered to 3 stars.

Like so many others we bought immediately only to find myself mid game. So we went to tools, profile, created a new profile and then played from the beginning no problem. We’ve had this issue before. If the game offers multiple profiles instead of deleting and reinstalling just make a new player. If only one player then uninstall/reinstall. That said: decent game but too many glitches. You would think they would have fixed it as they withheld the darn thing for an extra week!

We can’t get past the first scene, hit hint and it tells us we’re done here. NOW WHAT?

Well after a long wait for a new release, this game in our opinion is a huge disappointment! Not challenging at all – despise the hidden object scenes which are majority of the time fragmented and scenes repeated. Collectibles of puzzle pieces are elementary as well as the coins needed to find in order to purchase from shop. This is probably the worst in this series. We were in hopes that it would improve, however we are more than half way through and having a hard time getting enthused. Maybe, some of you will feel differently, but we certainly don’t feel like this is up to standards. Overall, and we are being generous, we can barely justify 2 stars. Very weak storyline, lacking adventure & challenge. KdBoots.

We started the game in the Horror Chapter, which we believe is chapter 4. We started a new profile, and that got us to the beginning of the game, but when we looked at the map, it put us back in the Horror chapter. Not to be outdone by a glitch, we started yet another profile. We were doing fine through chapter two, watched a cut scene and then referred back to the map just to take stock of where we were before proceeding to the next chapter / stage. This stranded us altogether. We deleted all three profiles and began again from the beginning. We did go through the "support" pages, they suggested that we delete and reinstall the game. With all of the people having the same issues, perhaps BFG could perhaps fix the game before advertising it? This is quite frustrating for a game that we paid for.

We play the first scene, but can’t get any farther.

We have installed and reinstalled and still can’t get past the first scene!

Glitch in the beginning made us start another profile. Now, we’re stuck in the jungle and can’t play the game with the books! Ugh! This is the 2nd game that is installed that we’re waiting for an update! Other one is Revived Book. Big Fish get with it!!!!
