Worth the sale price. Our only main problem with the game was quite a few times when we tried to use a "tool" on a scene, it would reject it -MULTIPLE times- as if it were wrong, until finally recognizing that it was correct. And we would "place" it, both carefully where it should’ve been correct and try moving it over slightly in all directions. It became very annoying after a while. Luckily the game was intriguing enough to keep playing. And as always the graphics were gorgeous!
It was a good game but it was frustrating to have to keep repeating multiple times a simple task. The price was worth it but wouldn’t pay any more than the given price better if it went on sale. Graphics, character interaction, HO’s all good. Some of the puzzles were easy but overall good game.
Sometimes we would use the hint button ad it would tell us to go back a screen, so we would. Then we would hit it again and it would tell us to go forward. Eventually we had to use the guide, and we wouldn’t even be in the right area. The clicking on things wasn’t sensitive enough, about wore our finger out tapping.
The game isn’t bad. It, like other HOP game stories, can be a bit cheesy. We say "Ugh!" because it’s kind of all over the place. We’re a casual player and felt like the hints took too long to charge. Really, it’s not about the hints. It’s that we couldn’t keep track of every missing thing. Usually we don’t bother with them so much. The WORST part, and probably reason for the hints was I’d put our inventory item on a spit over and over and over and over and over… Getting the picture? Right item, right thing–and nothing! Or is touch an item in the HOP over and over and over… Ugh! We can’t believe we finished.
We enjoyed the game, but like other reviewers, got frustrated when items didn’t recognize what you’re telling them to do. You just need to drag the item and hold it in position for a few seconds otherwise it bounces back to inventory.
First of all, we really… REALLY hated the fact we had to pay full price for this game before playing at all. Games like this are so incredibly hit or miss, I’d rather pay a touch more for a game we know we’re going to enjoy than waste less money on crap. This tactic is BS, Big Fish. You are going to lose a lot of customers this way. Anyway, the good: The graphics were great, the story was creepy (albeit confusing at times), the audio was nice and we really enjoyed the HO scenes and puzzles. Very original for the most part. The bad: There is no "custom" option for the difficulty level. Object interaction is a pain at times… Rejecting the action over and over. Sometimes the hints will point you the wrong way. The map doesn’t allow you to jump scenes and (from what we could tell) it doesn’t tell you which scenes have actions available. The game was ok, it was alright. We’re happy with our purchase but those are our thoughts.
Not our favorite game. Hard to follow at times.
Friends & Followers, Not well orchestrated, plot hard to follow & uninteresting. Some items to be grabbed and/or used throughout story are not responsive to touch, along with having to be dragged multiple times into position in order to be used. Developer missed the mark this time in producing a game that keeps the player’s attention. Not worth investing in. Happy Holidays to all.
