Community Insight:

This was a very fun game to play! Started it once a long time ago but, didnt finish it! Thanks for the walkthrough because it helped us finish it this time! Lovely story.

We dont leave many reviews but this game was great! Fun, easy to understand, and entertaining. Keep up the good work.

We love point and click adventures, and we dont usually reviews but we had to leave a review on this game cause for some reason its not getting the love it deserves!!! We felt super immersed in the story and we personally think the developers did an amazing job! Its hard finding point and click games with actual story compared to just basic escape games, and this one does an AMAZING job!! The story has so much depth and it left us wanting more! It was absolutely worth every penny!!!! Im gonna go play the rest of your games now, you guys have a committed fan.

We thought Sand was fabulous and then our sister and we played Silk. The ending of the first was one type,b ut Silk was an even better ending! Were both looking forward to your next one.

Like its name, Sand is sometimes hot, other times soft and then sometimes hardened. Quick and enjoyable.

We found the artwork to be great and the music truly relaxing. Puzzles are very rewarding and if you choose you can switch to the easy mode. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this game. Well done by both the artist and the programmers.

We replay enjoyed this game. It only were the puzzles interesting and different they were a good challenge we had t seen before. The graphics are also very well done. Highly recommend.

Our favorite kind of game, well worth the 99 cents, unusual puzzles, just the right level of difficulty.

Uch longer with more puzzles, and some had more difficult animations. Rusty Lake games, Five BN games, Forgotten Hill, AE Mysteries, etc. If you paid it was optional for hints or to buy more keys to unlock the next chapter which you could watch ads for them as well. We only paid because we wanted to help the developers.

Loved the game these games are our favorite type of games and silk was seriously the best game ever but we feel like this game was just too short. It was over way too quick. The ending just came out of nowhere. It definitely wouldve been better if it was longer and just had more puzzles.

We like this game and the graphics but we currently have 4 rings and need the 5th to complete the puzzle. It is no where. We have looked at cheat sights and see it on them but not in our game. Im assuming theres a glitch which is frustrating. Wish it would have worked correctly because we have really enjoyed playing it up to now.

For the price of $1.99, this game was amazing. We played the whole thing in about 3 hours. The puzzles are tricky but very fun to figure out. We look forward to playing more form this Dev.

Great Minimalist game that we enjoyed allot. Its not too difficult but it has its moments. If you are new to these type games then its a good game to start with. Have a diary to follow wish your tasks and it helps to keep you on task if you cant play everyday, the one thing we would have liked more is a map to know where Im at! No clues to buy which is terrific no money needed to keep going, you really cant beat that. Us, we are looking for more by this developer.

Its not often we get to the end of a game and say, Holy ****! At the completion of the story, but we did on this onetwice. Its a nice little game for an excellent price IMO. We used hints pretty frequently when we couldnt quite tell what a puzzle wanted us to do, but we never had to resort to easy mode. The puzzles all had solutions we found logical, unlike some other puzzle games, where we often have a reaction of how was we supposed to figure THAT out if Im having trouble with a solution. The coin puzzle seems to trip up a lot of people, and we agree that it made use of some algebra which Id have found easier if we broke out some scratch paper. But as far as we can tell, there is only one solution for X. That was maybe the most satisfying to solve! The one we struggled with the most was the antidote puzzle, because it took us way too long to figure out we were allowed to do something that was required for at least some of the solutions. The only puzzle we solved by accident was the one where you slid around a bunch of squares to put them in the right order. We thought we knew what we were supposed to do and then about halfway through it unlocked and Im still not quite sure why that was the solution. All in all, we really enjoyed this game, and Im interested in seeing other games from this developer.

**UpdatedThe developer replied to this review, which is kind of incredible. Apparently the two puzzle snags we mention in our original review arent snags, but intentional and dont affect the game. So we gave another star, but they still seem distracting and odd imo. We would certainly try another of this developers games. Original reviewI paid for the game, and having finished think it mostly delivers on the price. We enjoyed the style and tone of the story and game. The graphic novel-type art was great, the sound/music were good, and there were words when we tapped on almost everything, which seems like such an easy thing but so many games slack there. The puzzles were standard but solid; a little more challenge would have been nice but Ive played a lot of these sorts of games. One problem is that you can advance without solving at least one puzzle (the stone rings), which begs the question of why its there. You cant go back so presumably you miss part of the story, which in a short game is irksome. In the beginning there is also a window that is too high so the game says youll have to check it out from the other sidethat either doesnt or doesnt have to happen because we didnt find a way to investigate before the chapter ended. Those seem like two surprising mistakes in what is otherwise a pretty polished game imo.

This game is much more put together than the Zoe's Magical Escape game. Sand is enjoyable and flows smoothly between scenes.

We would have rated it 5 stars but we didnt like the ending. It felt rushed and disconnected.

The art for this game was beautiful and the puzzles were pretty fun, but for a pay to play game it ends much too quickly. We know this is more of an indie game so Im not mad it was $2 to play through, but it felt like the story ended abruptly and the ending was rushed.

The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. After playing the demo, we fell in love with the art style and puzzles. We happily paid $1.99 for the full version. We only "simplified" 2 puzzles, but that was because visually they were hard to distinguish (the beetles puzzle + the numbers square puzzle). Overall, a fun puzzle game (with actually challenging puzzles) with an interesting premise (though the ending felt rushed). The most difficult part of the game was trying to find the hidden objects in random rooms! One of the rings you needed in a puzzle was in a corridor hidden by complete shadows! And a flask you needed to clean a mirror was placed amongst an already completed puzzle. It was unnecessarily frustrating to look up a tutorial of the game because we literally couldn't find what we needed to progress. The hints were just "you need to find the object"- boy, we know, we do! Where IS the object, hint? If the company releases another puzzle game (a sequel could be fun with the open ending), we would happily play it. Just made the hidden objects easier to find.

We found this game late. It came out years ago. The update said first chapter free so we decided to try it out At the end of the first chapter, it prompted us for $1.99 to buy the full game. Its only $2 so who cares we finished it in literally 11 minutes after paying the $2. Seems a bit short after paying. Like why bother? Give it away for free at this point. We wouldve looked for other games by you but now we feel cheated.

Too short for a paid game. Fun puzzles and adventure.

We only played the free portion which took about 5 minutes so we cant speak to the paid part of the game. Its really pretty – we love the art style – but the paywall came way too early in our opinion.. Based on other reviews saying the whole game is under an hour long, maybe that explains why? Im not willing to pay for a game Im only going to play one time, regardless of how good the game is. It seems like a puzzle/story game should be longer and ideally give you more of a demo or better explain what all is included in the full game? It seems this is a first game from this dev so Im excited to see their future projects as theres definitely some strong potential here.

Good game but way too short. You only get one level and then have to pay for the other 2. Very difficult if you like that sort of thing but it is definitely not worth paying $2.

We have an iPhone 17 with the ios 17 floating island at the front facing camera, which means that when we are playing, the arrows to turn to the left are completely inaccessible. The "back arrow" is in line with the swipe-up bar, so that's annoying too. There were no left turns like this in the demo portion so we had no idea before purchasing. Seems fun but too frustrating with the UI not accounting for margins.

The transition between rooms is very odd and choppy. Despite that we kept going thinking it was fine for a free game but then we hit a paywall. You are able to do one quick part of a mission before hitting a paywall. Considering our short mission we didnt buy and really dont think it would be worth it all.

We are playing on an ipad mini and was enjoying the game until we hit the beetle puzzle that needs the translation notes. Problem is, the letter t on the notes is not visible on our screen so we cant complete the puzzle. Id like our money back.

We love solving puzzles and this game did not disappoint. Our only wish is that it was longer.

The artwork and polish of the game set this apart from many other games in the genre. Some reviewers mentioned the puzzles were difficult to solve, but we appreciated the developers adding puzzles that required more effort to complete. We especially liked the beetle sorting puzzle and the money bowls. Our kids enjoyed the easier ring puzzle and mixing the antidote. Our only complaint would be the game was over too soon. Please make more games like this :).

Wow, this game is amazing! Absolutely beautiful. The puzzles are gorgeous and fun and the ending was bitter sweet.

We downloaded this last night and finished it in about 3 hours. It was so worth the purchase of the full game.

We loved this game and am looking forward to the next one. Not too hard, not too easyjust right! Thank you for creating it.

We enjoyed this game. We had no issues with the puzzles. We hope the story continues. Worth the $2 we spent to play the full game. Good job developers.

Ive played nearly every escape puzzle game out there and this one is one of their better ones. Its on the harder for sure, but we were able to roll through without any hints – no clue was too obscure at all. (That def took some time! But was well worth it). If you enjoy a challenge, this is for you. We would say its def harder than any Rusty Lake stuff and maybe a little harder/sane level as Glitch Games catalog. The only drawback was that the puzzles are mostly one dimensional, meaning all of the clues are right there, there really isnt a need to keep track of clues and apply them in other locations. (That may be a benefit to some!) But either way, we look forward to more from this dev.

Wish there were more of it- it ended too soon! Good story, decent puzzles. But way too, too short.

This was a fun game! The story was engaging, the graphics were great, the accompanying music was pleasant and fitting, and the puzzles were challenging without being tedious or overly difficult. We are looking forward to other games by pixlab.

We hope they right more chapters got it. The puzzles were interesting and snd fun and we were enjoying the mood set by the musical score. More please.

Great built-in help system, puzzles that can be changed to easy if needed, interesting story. Short but worth the small price.

We thought these puzzles were great, challenging but none that left us feeling like we needed to give up. Only thing that could make this game better is if it were longer.

Magnificent! Great puzzles, stunning artwork, beautiful music, realistic dialogue and storyline. 4/5 because the ending felt a bit abrupt. The rest of the review is a spoiler, if you don't want tree end of the game spoiled, STOP READING HERE. Spoiler we took one star off because the story delves into reincarnation, gave it back because that's our fault for not reading the information on a game based on ancient Egypt, then took it back because the ending feels really abrupt.

We bought the full version and really liked the art style and game play but it felt like the ending was sudden and needed more to it. For purchasing the game we felt it could have been longer really wish there was more to it.

We loved this game, felt like the puzzles were a good level of challenging. Paid for it. But the ending was so abrupt the whole thing you are working towards doesnt even really happen, disappointed in that, could have had more puzzles to get out of the trap set by the theif and complete the mission plus the end story line.

It is an okay puzzle game but without the easy versions of puzzles we would be dead in the water because most of the puzzles are not based on logic but random trial and error, very boring. Cant recommend it if you are looking for something interesting like The Room.

There are lots of great aspects about this game. Its not too hard but definitely will slow you down mentally requiring you to think, try, fail and try again. The graphics were very nice albeit limited just to when interacting for game play. There are a few cut scenes of just stills and a story line to read along to. All in all we enjoyed this game and would recommend. We do wish it were a bit longer. We finished with only a little over 2 hours of playtime. We used hints a couple times and the life saver button only once.

So we like a lot about this game. Beautiful design/ artwork, generally easy to use, great puzzles. We wound up breaking out algebra skills we havent used in 30 years for the coin puzzle, then ditched the approach and went with a hunch which proved correct. Really makes us think, which we like in a game. Our issue is that when you get to the wheel puzzle in the labyrinth (the one where you start with a cyan pie piece across the disks), we get stuck. We can place the sections from the wall diagram where they belong, but theres no indication as to where the others should go. After trying a few logical possibilities, we realized either we were missing a piece of information or it was one we would have to brute force, which we dislike intensely. We looked up wikis and walkthroughs, but the ones we found stop at the end of the free section. Theres no option to get an easier puzzle here, or anything about where to look for more info. Also cant find a way to message the creator for info so, review it is. Again good game. Just frustrating when you cant find out how to work around a puzzle.

Cant figure it out from the clues given.

This game asks you to buy the full game after playing it for about thirty seconds and going through the first few puzzles. Wack and disappointing. If youre gonna charge for the game, charge for it. Dont put it up as FREE and then ask for money after literally a minute of play through. Its enjoyable and somewhat interesting for the free portion but Im not going to spend money on it on this basis alone.

We were enjoying the game, but it ended much sooner than we expected.

The gameplay is OK, the puzzles arent that difficult for the free version (no hints or help) and navigation is well made. The free version is short though. Really short that we beat it in less than 5 minutes, unless you want to buy the rest of the game (we havent bought the rest of the game yet), honestly we were expecting more since initially you arent required to pay.

Pros: Fantastic visuals. Great atmosphere. Price. We would absolutely be interested in another game with the same artist. Neutral: Generic unimaginative puzzles that are mostly easy or tedious. Pretty minimal story. Almost no interaction with people and environment. Cons: The coin puzzle was faulty. The 2nd and 4th equations are identical. Its clear they worked backward by just assigning values to the coins and bowls and then wrote whatever on the clue sheet. There is only one solution if you assume integer values but given the simplicity of the other puzzles you cant convince us that this was deliberate. Also on one side they add with a (+) and the other side they just write the coins next to each other which added to the confusion.

So we started playing and almost immediately hit a pay wall. It irked us because we dont like it when developers do sneaky, shady, stuff like that, but it seemed like a game we would enjoy, so we paid up. We got through the whole thing in less than an hour. Thats it. The whole game took less than an hour. The puzzles were ok. Not too easy, not too hard. We did have to do two of them on easy mode, but no big deal. The story was very lacking in detail. It was frankly, dull. There just wasnt much to it, and the end was very abrupt and anticlimactic (which isnt surprising because the whole story was anticlimactic). The graphics and music were good , and the few puzzles there were, we enjoyed. It was just so incredibly short and boring for a PAID game, we were very disappointed.
