This isnt the game it was supposed to be. This used to be scattegories where you got to have fun playing scattegories against other people now its this easy trivia game for the 90s. We have no problem with the game itself but the fact that its this now instead of scattegories is upsetting.
Too many clicks to continue to the main screen after a victory. 5 clicks. We would feel less frustrated if it was taken down to two and just give us the option to review the previous game. Make it less time in between collecting coins. It feels like it takes 10 seconds just to collect coins from a win. In a mobile game, thats too long. Make a button that says: collect winnings so you collect all at once rather than go to each individual game and collect the coins. Make time in between screens faster. This is something that many mobile games fail to do, even big ones like Pokmon Go. We dont need all the animations in between. We just want a game that goes quickly between scenes or slides so we can play the next one. This is all nitpicking. This game is really great and we love it and always recommend it for people who like word games.
We waited a while to see if this would correct, but it hasnt. Since the last update, we play two rounds with an opponent and go back to the menu only to find neither saved! This has been happening constantly & we're over it. Im fine with shortening the game to 3 rounds (too many people quit after they lost 3 and wouldnt finish), but this is ridiculous. Im sick of playing the same rounds over and over because the game wont save them correctly. Get it together! And bring back the rematch button. It stinks to find someone good and not be able to play them more than once.
Ads after each round is annoying. The players all seem like bots to us.
This Scattergories BLITZ game is fun. However the responses are a bit subjective depending on who you are. They should be exact where needed (we.e. Name Tom Hanks movies) and general where needed (we.e. Vegetarian meals). Answers for the first are what they are. But for the second, we lost because answers were exact dishes that were so specific like vegetarian bean casserole or sweet potato souffl with raisins and other rather exact dishes most people wouldnt know. These answers should have been more general like salads, beans, rice, etc. Also, the view of your opponents responses is sporadic. If we play 15 games, we may only see their responses for 2 games and wont know why they won. Also, there are many correct answers that are not accepted. (A Man Named Otto was not accepted as a Tom Hanks movie.). Since a year or decade was not specified, it should have been accepted. Since it came out this year, we wont fuss too much. Additionally 45 seconds is madness. But this one Ill let go. We guess the rush is a part of the fun. Keep improving. Should be a stellar game once you get some of the kinks out.
We love this game. But often, things will glitch and it will not work. We have quit playing it for months at a time because it is frustrating. The new, untimed story levels are awesome but youll roll and get a topic, and it will be a different topic. Also, often it wont let you play, and sometimes youve just spent coins spinning and it wont let you play. The next time you can play, it makes you spin again. Waste of coins and frustrating. Also, one of the previous updates caused winnings to be 3 coins after 5 rounds. But on any one round, a hint is 100 coins! It used to be 50 coins each win! We wish this app worked better and the winnings hadnt changed so drastically, or there was another way to earn the coins. The glitching is super frustrating.

We stopped for no real reason started playing recently and saw that the reveal answers are filled with incorrect answers. For example 80s boy bands, first of all there werent many in the 80s and that category doesnt include rock bands from the 80s Motley Crue isnt a boy band and Jackson 5 werent together in the 80s. We used to love this game now the answers you have filled your database with are wrong. So Im done with this game. You need a real person familiar with pop culture to go in a fix your answers.
We recently had a category called rating and all the answers were garden hose + garden hose attachment? A popular popsicle category where cherry and grape arent answers but Dr Pepper is? Common baked dishes rejects bread and macaroni and cheese but accepts key lime pie and panna cotta? Genuinely who is in charge here and why did the answers stop making sense.
We used to play this all the time and loved it. But now we have categories that dont match their answers, and then others Ill answer really simple answers that everyone would agree to, and they are wrong. When we develop reveal the answers, they are extremely similar to what we typed, often with an added word that wouldnt be intuitive or an added letter. Its ridiculous and becoming impossible on some rounds to even have a chance or even just one guess make sense. We dont know how we suddenly got flooded with these glitchy categories, but it is on the verge of causing this frequent user to delete the app.

Not a huge fan of this game. The categories were really weird. Some of them not really making sense and was hard to understand what they were looking for. Not a terrible idea. The concept was really cool.
So the response to our previous review added the helpful dispute resolution. Nope. If we take as much time to correct your answers, which builds your database, as we do playing then you should pay us as a developer.
Who is developing this game? What is going on, seriously? It is unplayable now. The players, we dont think theyre real but probably NPC, are putting in gibberish answers and getting points and also running up the numbers giving answers theres no humanly way possible they would know. Im on the leader board in the top 10. Ive played this game a lot over the past 3 years, even though its redundant, sometimes its fun. But now you might as well take it off the App Store. It is horrendous. Whats with the new categories too? Godzilla monsters?? Who knows that? Oh right, the NPC youll likely be playing against. Theyll suspiciously be able to name 30 Godzilla monsters in 45 seconds. Imagine the knowledge and typing skills! One of the answers for Palindrome names was Bv. Hmm thats not a palindrome. Thats not even a name! Like someone else said in a review: there is no quality control. Its a total free for all. Seems like whoever is in control of writing code for this game is out of it.
Theres zero quality control here. So many wrong answers are allowed. Like blatantly wrong answers. Wildly wrong answers. Incomplete and misspelled answers also allowed. And so many verifiably correct answers are dinged as incorrect. No fun to play when its 50/50 chance the game makers know the correct answers. Definitely not QAd by anyone in the west. Not sure who checks the answers/facts but definitely not American or European. And likely no one over age 22. Really, some of the lists are written by people who know nothing about the world. Its fine if its not oriented to western culture but then dont use western categories if you dont know the correct answers. And the list of offensive words is ridiculous. Like bum isnt allowed. Come on. And so repetitive. Only a few weeks in and Im done. Nothing new and what is there is so annoyingly wrong. Blah.
The game itself is fun. Ive played for years. Recently, it has had categories where you have to name things starting with a certain letter, but doesnt show you the letter in the beginning. We dont even know its a special letter round half the time.
Somehow, a recent update has messed up a game that we used to really love and enjoy playing! First problem: game enters the Category round without letting the player know what letter theyre playing, let alone that theyre even playing this round to begin with!! Second problem: suddenly, the game has taken upon itself to decide that, every so often, it would like to change the category and all answers to a different language that we do t know!! Why did you guys have to ruin a good game?? Im very close to deleting and moving on.
Loved the game and now love the mobile version. Could use a greater selection of categories and not so repetitious, but we see some new ones sneak in from time to time so all good.
We purchased the app which would lead you to believe its a better experiencesadly its not. The ads are insufferable and entirely too long. Sometimes the points are higher for the same answer from your opponent. There are not enough players probably due to the insane amount of long ads. Also, some of the answers dont apply to the region you live in. On a positive note, its fun if you actually get someone to challenge you.
This game is fun to play with random opponents and friends but there is too many ads. There is an ad after every single 1 minute round its just too much. It makes it unplayable, unfortunately.
This game needs a solo mode vs a computer when other people dont want to play. Gets boring to wait in versus mode.

One of the best trivia games for iPhone. It keeps the sense of the classic board game with a beautiful look very fair pointing and adds system. You keep want to come back and play more. It also provides you with the answer sheet that you can have by earning points . Again so fair and rational. We wish there were more actual real humans that play to raise the competition. Sadly it is obvious when your are against the same bots . But still doesnt make it any less fun.
Please finish chapter five. We love this game.
We have been playing this for over a year now and we just love it. Wish there was more to the solo game but the categories are fun and challenging and we love it.
We love the app but there have been a few bugs lately. Not getting coins from winning matches is really ticking us off. Also you guys need to update your system because we had a question about Quentin Tarantino movies and it legit didnt recognize two of the answers that where correct. Also you need to make it recognize what your trying to say when you spell one word,like for Bob Marley we put Rock cause he has a song called Trenchtown Rock but we didnt get points for it. Another thing you need to add is when you win 3 rounds auto end the match. Its so annoying waiting 2+ days for someone to open the app and end the match when you already won. And also your notifications dont work Ive had notifications on since we got the app in the end of April and we have never gotten a single 1 to go off. Great game but needs to refinement and basic bug fixes.
This game is so fun! We rlly enjoy it! Just the one thing is the ads. There are so many ads it gets rlly annoying! The game will ask Do you want to get more time by watching a ad? And ill day no but the game still gives us an ad!!! Then when we say yes, All we get is a black loading screen that freezes the game.
We really enjoyed the game until almost every other category was related to actors so actresses. We get ta few but one game 3 of the rounds were like that.

Stick to fight list as its the same game but way better. The answers we gave are the same answers our opponent gave but hers are worth double the points!!! How is this fair? It isnt . So Im done. It was coleslaw ingredients and we listed vinegar and it was worth thirty points, while her vinegar was worth 60! Same word exactly. It happened multiple times and it caused us to lose the game. Because our opponents had the same answers as us that came through worth higher points, they beat us even though we had way more answers than they did. What a crock. Fight list answers are rated the same for everyone. Thats the way it should be. We dont mind some answers getting higher scores because theyre a better answer. But answers that are the same should be rated the same no matter who gives them, even if its a computer generated answer.
Great game but you better type fast.
We get thats how they make money but its really excessive and annoying after everyyyything you do. Thats the biggest con. Otherwise its a fun and competitive game.
It was fun but the more we play there are way too many repeated categories. Also, they dont count many versions of typos which is annoying because of the limited time spent fixing just the typos alone.
We like this game and the ability to play solo. But they make it impossible to play against known friends.

Not sure any other game has more commercials. For everything you do, theres a commercial you must watch first. Pretty frustrating. Also, some categories are pretty obscure or literally only have 3-4 total answers. Finally deleted the game. More annoying than fun. Primarily the excessive commercials.
Good game but it quits unexpectedly often and then sometimes you loose your turn or leave a turn unfinished which is frustrating if you only put in one or two answers. Other than that it is a nice game and we enjoy playing it, we hope they are able to fix that.
Almost every time we play against a random opponent, the opponent turns out to be an obvious bot account. The name and profile image look like a person, but the bots always answer 3 random answers to every question, no more and no less. This becomes especially obvious when they get 3 rare answers, and no common or wrong answers.
The ads are AWFUL! Keep getting the same letter over and over and over! You have to shut the app completely when an opponent takes their turn, just so that it will update on your end. We love the game but it needs a lot of love. Deleting it, will check at another time, hopefully they will get it fixed.

So far we can only play with strangers The invite link for friends only sends them to the app, there isnt a way to compete against them in a game.
Lots of errors in answers not being accepted, lots of misspellings eg. Ellen degenerous. Lol. Lots of what seems to be bot players.
The majority of our time spent playing this game is waiting for pop ups to go away. Be it for their ludicrous reward system or their intrusive ads which we dont bother watching anyway. We have to restart the app after every round just to avoid spending 30 seconds watching ads we dont care about. We understand you have to make money but pop up ads is the wrong way to go about it. Try banners at the bottom or something less intrusive and obstructive.
In the game Scattergories, you have to come up with as many words as possible that start with a specific letter for a category. In this game, its just as many words as possible for a category. Really boring.
We were looking forward to playing this game but the app wouldnt open once installed. Very frustrating.
Do not play this game. The company has created bot accounts, (ie Ethan C.) whose answers were ridiculously uncommon and he answered so quickly that even when we answered in opposite order the bot earned double the points for both answers! Im sure they have to create bot accounts to ensure people have competition but we think the company could come up with a better algorithm to make it more realistic. How do we know? We reversed google image searched the image associated with the account and its a stock photo used multiple times over by different companies and he goes by multiple names (Michael, technical director at design firm). This is just one bot account we stumbled upon in the first day of playing. Im sure there are thousands. Id rather the company just be transparent and say well pair you with whatever is first available- bot or real.
We paid to remove the ads because theyre very irritating, and they STILL show up. Dont spend money on this game, you will be ripped off like us.
This game crashes all the time and its freezes so much that we know use it to store our groceries in! Goodby freezer hello new app that freezes every single time! What a mess.
We play it in our down time and its actually a little educational because we learn something new every time we play it.
We love this game and its awesome but since our phone got the newest software update to 14.2 its not working. The app says that a new version is available but we have the most updated version of the app. Ive even tried to delete and redownload the app but its doing the same thing. We cant access the game now at all. -UPDATE: developer responded and fixed!!! Yay.
