Thanks to the developers for fixing some of the glitches. We enjoyed this game. The best part is it is a nice long game like we used to get!!!
Update January 16: Domini issued an update for the update, and it should work properly now. It should have worked properly the first time. For those of you who thought that the bonus adventure was identical to the main game, it was nothing like it. You just kept on replaying the main game due to the fatal error. Its sad that this game was fraught with so many technical issues. It was quite unresponsive, the bonus chapter couldnt be accessed without an update and then could not be completed properly, the zoom function was awful, and several of the mini-games were impossible to manipulate. The graphics were gorgeous and the gameplay was, in general, enjoyable. However the poor quality assurance overshadowed the entire game! Domini needs to get their act together before they release any of the EIPIX games. The first game of the year had better not be a presage of games to come! Gamers, kindly contact Domini support when you experience issues. The update was neither timely nor effective. We asked Oleg not to release the next game unless the quality assurance issues have been resolved and the gameplay is flawless. Gamers, you are not doing yourself or Domini any favors by rating a technically flawed game too highly. Do you want to keep paying for games that are problematic? Then dont rate a game until you have fully completed it, and if there are issues rate it accordingly! Next up for Domini will be Labyrinths 10: Fools Gold and that should be released on January 28th. However its already been sent to the App Store. We hope that this game runs well and is not being rushed to market! Our true rating is 3.5 stars. We improved our rating based on how the game would have been without all of those technical issues. There must be consequences for such poor quality assurance and glitchy gameplay, as well as a fatal error. We added the half star because outside of the horrific technical problems, the game was a gorgeous game and the gameplay was enjoyable. It wasnt very original though, the same storyline over and over! We wont be so forgiving next time! Artifex Mundi has a game available for pre-order. Its by Sunward and its set to be released January 30th. This is Secret Order: Return to the Buried Kingdom. Its a very enjoyable and magnificent series. Note to moxie ruby: you spelled it correctly! Really like this series but some puzzles do not work. Im referring to the ones where you have to select a piece and move it and then place it. It has happened on other Secret City games and happened at the end of the bonus chapter for this game. Every time we select a piece it disappears. It eventually reappears but we are not allowed to rotate the piece. Really frustrating and disappointing.
The game holds your interest. Amazing puzzles. More than worth the amount you pay for the. We love all your games.
We enjoyed what little free play was there and definitely wouldve paid. We’ve bought game before. Not $6.99 though. Thanks for the little bit of play that we had!
Update: we still couldnt get the bonus game to work even with the latest patch. So, we deleted the game, reloaded, played through again, let the credits roll and now we can access the bonus. Hallelujah. Looking forward to playing it. The main game is engaging and enjoyable. We would love to play the bonus game but after updating our IOS version, updating the game, closing/restarting the game, resetting the bonus, we are still unable to play it. As others have reported, it restarts the main game. We have nothing left to try. We do want to thank you for responding to the comments of your reviewers. Not all developers take that approach.
Update Jan 22nd. – unfortunately we must revise our review since the update is worse than the original. We tried playing after updating and bonus game would not load. We deleted the game and reinstalled thinking that would solve the problem, but when it reinstalled, it was version 1.0.0. We have contacted Domini and expressed our disappointment in this game. It should not have been released until it was flawless. When we pay for games, we should expect them to work correctly. Like everyone else, initially we couldnt access the bonus game, but we exited and restarted the game and let the credits roll until it stated you have successfully completed…. And then had no trouble accessing the bonus. Otherwise, it is a decent game,but not our favorite.
We may submit another review later. It depends on whether the game doesnt continue to lock up. Im barely started and am as locked out of the game as the protagonists handcuffs. This is not the first Domini game that has done this and its very annoying. Thankfully, Im still playing the trial.
This is a lovely game with challenging puzzles, terrific graphics and music, and an innovative narrative. We loved the thunder and lightning as well as all the authentic London details (one of our favorite cities). But the bonus game is still buggy and was frustrating since we had to begin it again and had more coins and collectibles than required. Still, a small complaint for a wonderful game. Because of a recent move and a sudden retirement, we’ve not been writing reviews as we should have since we do really read and depend on many of you. BTW Lynxminx, if we spelled it correctly, you asked a question some months ago about the dog breed in Wizard of Oz. We did not see it answered but we are fairly sure it is a Cairn Terrierand in that iconic film he is worth watching, a great little actor. Many thanks to all of you and the developers for carrying on the fight for these games that save sanity on tough days. Final words, buy this game but the bugs in the bonus still need a fix. The update hasnt yet addressed the issues. Wonderful work on a terrific and thoughtful game. Five stars easily. Moxieruby.
While we can now access the bonus chapter, if you close out it resets to the beginning, except you can see your inventory – you still have to pick it all up again. That our 3rd review down, up, down – come on!
This is a disaster – was supposed to be fixed and after waiting for an update, we still have a frustrating, unresponsive game to play, with issues with the bonus chapter still remaining. Have contacted Dominis support only to get No response. We Totally agree with Lynx – Please fellow players do not rate games prematurely – this does No One any favors. Hope to see some dramatic improvements as this could have been a really good game. Looking forward to a FLAWLESS game. KdBoots.
Was good till we cant access the bonus chapter. Please fix so we can give it a different rating. We did contact DominiGames and Im waiting for a reply. Update: Now we can access the bonus game but having the same problem, every time we get out we start all over. Im so done with this game. Now we have to wait 2 more weeks without. Not starting our new year out so good.

We really liked the main game a lot but was very disappointed that there was another problem with a Domini bonus game. We took your advice that you gave to others and let the credits run all the way through. You are then able to click on the Bonus Game, but when it starts its the same exact Main Story. Bummer.
Cannot play bonus chapter…. We have completed the main game 4 times and nothing…. UPDATE: let game roll through credits, now allows us to access the bonus chapter which for us is game starting over?????
Same problem as others. We let all the credits run, then it said we could now play the bonus game but it was the main game all over again.
The game is good – standard. It brings nothing new but is enjoyable. We did put it down quite a few times. The bonus game does not work. It is an exact duplicate of the initial game but is missing pieces so you get stuck in the second scene. Which is no big deal because if you wanted to replay the game you would. The bonus game needs to be fixed. We really dont know if we would replay the initial game to get to it though. We think it is time to mix this series up a little bit. We loved this series when it started but this game felt stale and didnt live up to the others.
Its not working right for us…. Delayed response in the game with every scene and hos… Had to press skip button multiple times to skip press the dog multiple times to acquire not a game for us at this price or even $2.99 just our opinion.
The bonus chapter does not work. You click on it and the main game restarts. You need to release an update to fix this issue.
If you can even access the bonus chapter, its just a replay of the main game. Its a shame there arent enough good hidden object games out right now, and the last few we’ve played had serious glitches preventing us from completing the games.
