What Makes Selfie Poker Stand Out

A poker puzzle to play by yourself

Selfie Poker is a unique combination of poker and modern puzzle games. Designed specifically for one-handed offline play, it's a perfect fit for whenever you have a free minute.

Every round you need to build 3 poker hands so that weaker poker hands are placed on top of stronger ones. With 6 cards to choose from, you have plenty of interesting options every turn. Unused cards persist between rounds so every choice matters!

Get lucky and score tons of points for stronger combinations on higher levels, or fight for survival with bare pairs. It wouldn't be a poker game without luck involved!

Store memories of your best hands as photos, and share them with your friends.

The game was heavily inspired by Chinese Poker with its many variants (especially Open Face Chinese and Pineapple) and mobile puzzle games, like Threes, 2048 and Merged

The game is completely free and doesn't have any ads

Community Insight:

This is an excellent solitaire game that triggers all of the same areas of our brain that sprang into action playing live games of open-face poker. We have now played innumerable rounds of Selfie Poker and love its structure and the challenges that it presents. It is perfect.

This game has it all – highly addictive, clean UI, Good mix of skill/luck, NO ADS, and huge replay value. Its the kind of game you can play if you need 5 minutes to kill without fail. Looking forward to seeing future updates.

It would be cool to have a mode where the not used cards are put back in a fixed order instead of at random.

This is great fun, even for people like us who dont love poker.

Its so hard to find good solo card games that strike the right balance between casual and strategic. This game nails it. Everything is done right here. And the design is gorgeous. We love that it saves progress at all times, because we can only play in short spurts. Its just easy enough to learn to be accessible, while still providing a unique strategic challenge. You have to think, but its not overly hard or frustrating. Its perfect for semi-casual gamers and strategic thinkers alike. And the component of luck makes it not frustrating. We only docked one star because it could use battery optimization, it runs a tad warm and drains a tad more than a game like this should. Its tolerable though since we play in short spurts anyway. We hope it can someday be updated to mitigate this. Its not bad enough to avoid playing though. Especially since the developer made it free with no ads or IAP, you cant complain. This free game is better than most paid card games, and its unique, you wont find anything like it. We totally recommend this game and applaud the developer for monetizing so generously. You clearly care about the art of good gaming. Thank you.

Suddenly, this game is asking for a review after almost every hand. This never happened before, so we guess there must have been an update. So, here you go! If we could give zero stars we would. – – – – – Update 5/4/2019: After reading the developers response, we have revised our rating to four stars. We enjoy playing the game, which is a fun way to pass the time. The game stopped asking for reviews, but Im not sure if that was because we rebooted our iPad.

Some stats would make us want to play this more. Or at least a score board, top 20 highest scores with initials. Yep good old fashion scoreboard with initials. Yep, we share our iphone with our family.

The game is fun. But there are a number of times we have had a pair on the bottom and the game ended. It is frustrating.

This would be a 5-star game except for the manner of dealing out losing hands we have nothing to do with. The game starts and ive lost because we only have one card left to draw and it doesnt pair with anything. Which means some programmer played may hand poorly and then handed it over to us. Intolerable, and worse, unplayable. We see no good reason for an app to arbitrarily destroy a lot of well thought out play. Ultimately its the companys loss. Delete. Thanks for your reply. We have, believe it or not, retracted reviews in the past, so you will understand that we cannot agree with your response, so much so that we have deleted your app. You obviously cannot see the foolishness of playing someones entire hand and then handing them a silver-plated loss. The first series we played upon downloading your app gained a score of over 500. Since then we have only cracked 200 a couple of times, and what you refer to as poor play is only the most brilliant play as to have survived. Your system needs a serious rethink. Out of all of our losses we have only earned (by our terms) 4 or 5 losses compared to the dozens that are just handed to us. We know what poker is all about. Ive been at it for a lifetime. Pity you cant bluff in your app.

Works great . . . No problems playing and is a great puzzle. Good help screen displays poker hands anytime u need it. Perfect app.

Simple but very replayable. One question, lets say the bottom and middle rows have two (different) pairs each. How is their relative strength determined? 1: Addition of both pairs, or 2: the presence of two respective stronger pairs overall? (This is hard to explain…) Bottom row = AA 88, middle = TT 99 would win by method 1 and lose by method 2.

This is a very original and interesting take on Chinese Poker. Very polished and plays really good on a phone.

Perfect app to spend some time while you commute or during a coffee break. We like how it mixes poker rules with puzzle gameplay. Good job, devs.

This is a very nice looking poker/puzzle game. The look of the game is very clean and the sounds are of the cards being dealt to you. You try to put poker hands together from the top to bottom with the strongest hand on the bottom row. The strategy comes in as you try to plan a head after you've already laid a card. Can you make a flush or a straight. Will the card you need come up or will you lose the game as the card you need never shows up. We paid the $2 unlock to avoid the ads and get an extra set of alternative card fronts. The game will take a picture of your best game which is nice. Overall a very nice game. It's free to try so you really can't lose.
