This game is a HIT, This was the best sequel there could be. Keep the pace up guys ;)

Amazing ninja platformer. Looks great, plays great. Great improvement over the first. Awesome job devs.

The game is fantastic but it does lag sometimes and the jump button has problems when rapidly jumping to climb walls but other than that great job.

[==========}::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::> Love this game. Dope afffff.

Throwback to old sidescrollers with a nod to the Ninja Gaiden series. We luv it. Great upgrade from the original Shadow Blade. Awesome Graphics, fluid controls, nice soundtrack. Keep making these games and we’ll keep coming back!!

We love this game and the part where you control it with a controller made it even better we finished number one and we’re almost done with number 2 but can you make number 3 please please just think about it and if you could that would be great |=]:::::::::::>

We love this game but controls could be better. Waiting for the next version.

Good gameplay and good character. Good luck.

We love the old school feel, graphics, and gameplay. The controls are too close together. The longer boards are nice. We were so glad to see a sequel to Shadow Blade. Keep them coming! Hopefully, the bugs others have written about will be fixed. We have not had any issues yet.

Doesnt work with backbone game controller but this is still a great game 4stars.

Hi devs ! Thank you for a second part ! Glitch: time to time forward button works as a back button.

Not as good as the previous version.

Would be good if it was like 2 bucks and less buggy.

Its a great game but it needs a lot of fixing ,the gameplay is really bad it glitches when we walk and he kinda freezes please fix.

Good game but it is not on full screen and lags sometimes. Anyone help?

Shadow Blade: Reloaded is a well-made platformer, but it quickly wears itself out. If you’ve ever played Mega Man, then you know what this is about. It’s about repetition, learning where the enemies are, when to jump, etc. It’s about getting a perfect run, and that’s fine if that’s what you’re into.

The review by GoodGuyAvetis is right. It seems that the dividing line separating the left and right buttons isn’t centered on our iphone 6. Therefore tapping right makes our ninja go left sometimes. Actually it does that a lot (going left instead of right). Eg, instead of | it feels like | As you can see there’s not much tapping area for right button. If you tap a little to the left of right button, you’ll go left. We have to stretch out our thumb and position it more towards the center of the screen in order to be certain our ninja guy will go right when we tap right otherwise it’s a crapshoot (he’ll inexplicably go left and get killed). It’s awkward and so uncomfortable, our thumb reverts back to a more natural position if we forget about it during gameplay. As a result, we keep dying over the lamest sht like going in the wrong direction. We can’t say if this is a problem on other devices with differing screen sizes because idk. We just know it’s a problem when we play on our iphone 6. That’s why we don’t enjoy playing this game because it’s so frustrating. It ruins the whole thing. Do we regret buying this game? Hell yeah we do. Therefore we cant recommend it if you have a device with a similar sized screen. (Assuming that’s the problem). Why can’t you developers just shift the perimeters for both left and right buttons just a little more to the left? Then the dividing line would shift a little left and become more centered resulting in more tapping area for the right button. To be honest, we don’t have much confidence they’ll even look into it seeing how they infrequently update their games and their tendency to just stop updating altogether after barely a year since release. We hope we’re wrong though.

Own the first game and really enjoyed it. So, what do they do? Make a sequel that is equally good but chance the control features. We can’t play this because we’re so used to the way the first game played. At least make an option to change the settings for controls, right? Nope.

Everything was working fine until 2nd world it froze up and 1, couldn’t get it to work again. We would love to finish the game if possible.

We never write reviews really but cant help it this time. Itll be worth it if it saves even one person the frustration. Bottom line we believe this is a really cool game. Its fun and has really nice graphics and art style in our opinion. Its just that it would be great if it actually worked on newer devices. We have 13 Pro Max and its basically unplayable. It freezes and glitches BADLY. You may get lucky for one round just to find it keeps happening over and over again. 90% of the time its straight up unplayable. Whats more is that it doesnt fill the entire screen, its 16×9 and hard to see and the notification/status bar (time network status and battery level) dont ever disappear. We can understand if it simply isnt profitable for the developer to update the app for modern devices but the bare minimum right thing to do would be to add a disclaimer in the description stating that. Simple really. But then they would squeeze out as many dollars as possible regardless of the dishonesty. Adding insult to injury, Apple denied our refund request even though we immediately uninstalled it and submitted a refund request with 24 hours. Our request did not meet the conditions for a refund. If a broken app doesnt meet the conditions, what will? Do your research before to buy old apps. We learned the frustrating way. Apple will gladly sell you duds and bold face deny refund. Shame.

We cant see whats going on. The graphics are too small.

We bought this app for our iPhone 11 Pro Max & it keeps crashing. Also its really glitchy while trying to play. Last time it was up dated 4 years ago~???!? Could you please reply to convey if youre going to update this app? Yes/No.

Running this on a 2019 iPad and the graphics freezes and stutters, its basically running at like 10 FPS.

Pressing left on the controller brings up the pause menu. Controls pretty much dont work at all during menus. Touch controls do not disappear when using the controller. We dont mess with touch controls when playing platformers and other games of the like (I dont know why anyone would), so this game is unplayable. Basically we’ve just given five dollars for nothing.

It is just the same as the last game, but now it is a lot buggier. If we try to hit the shoot button it will use the sword and a lot of the time the game just freezes and it freezes again if we restart the mission. The first game is less complicated and the timed challenges are a lot more accomplish able. We would recommend the first game instead of this.

Lags so badly that we cant even beat the first level. The first game was great, played through the whole thing on several different phones. Looks like they tried to make a decent sequel here but without support for the newest phones its a total waste of 5 bucks. Doesnt look like they have released a new update in years either.

We love the original game and this version is even better! We were super excited to see it in the App Store! You will not be disappointed!

This is what action games on iOS should be… Great graphics, good sound, and a gold standard for controls. This game shines with polish and wonderful animation. One of a few of the newer games that show mobile gaming starting to mature as a platform. Highly recommended.

This game is highly polished, and tons of fun.

Ok when you do an update here’s what you need to add 1:survival 2: skill tree to upgrade the Ninja with amazing abilities/skills 3: a store to buy different weapons and skills please give us this this game is so awesome.

So we love this game but there is this one glitch that Annoys us so much is that The characters are strict floating on no reason and then we go in when you’re lighting on the wall just inside of it you’re inside the wall and then you acreage through the wall and then you falter it’s just please fix this glitch.

We’re a 39 year old guy who grew up on the Nintendo playing platform games. This, and its predecessor, are a great homage to the platform games that we loved playing back then, except this one has a good storyline and excellent game play. This game is worth every penny the creators are asking. Most of us will spend more on tacos over the next month than the creators are asking for this game.

Great game but it glitched with the iron fist enemy.

A great game but is it really worth 5$? Yes it is Overall good game boss fights are very fun.

Right off the bat this game is a fully premium and polished experience. We own the original Shadowblade and the graphics are so much better in this one. We’ve played the first few levels and they are much longer than they are in the first game. The biggest and coolest addition is auto regenerating SHURIKENS! They add a completely new and fun depth to the gameplay. This game plays fast and has very intense moments but not so intense that you want to throw your device. There is awesome boss fights! It’s just really fun. The onscreen controls work nicely BUT we WISH there were options to change things around. We do not like where the jump button is. Why wouldn’t the devs allow us to move the buttons to where we want them? You can use an MFI controller if you wish. It has full MFI compatibility. The developers are actively talking with the community at the Touch Arcade forums which is pretty awesome. We feel the game is definitely worth the asking price. Thank you devs for a great game! Just let us change the buttons around. :)

So this is a great game (from what we’ve played) but a while ago when we closed the app and then reopened it a minute ago it would it would show the logos like it normally does and then the screen just goes black and sits there until we close the app, so we basically can’t play, but from what we played it seems like a five star game.

This is a great game but every time we try to deafening level 5 there’s one part that just kick us out of the game.

When we’re at the last level of New Kyu it takes us back to the map and It doesn’t allow us to go to Upper Dojo PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!

We have the original and this one is. Great reboot. Would be nice if it was an update but that’s something we can live with. We think we’ve ran into a glitch where we can’t get through the final stage of section 3. After defeating the level it takes us to a close up of the master in his cell and we can’t do anything from there or see the rest of the stage again. We waited there for 10 minutes and nothing happened??

This game is fun when it runs well. Since some people have older devices however, we would appreciate it if add some graphics settings or something that can keep the frame rate at a decent level and consistent. Thank you. Otherwise fun and we like The comic cut scenes.

We really enjoy this game! However, there is a glitch after we get to level four stage 1 that doesn’t allow us to play anymore. If this was fixed, then we would give this game a five star rating.

Well we bought it, so yup…. It’s pretty cool.

WHAT WORKS: -Cool graphics and sound. -Smooth frame rate. -Appealing character designs. -43 levels and 4 boss encounters. -Levels are fairly large. -Decent variety of enemies. -Compelling storyline told by comicbook style cutscenes. -Not having to achieve AAA scores to unlock all the levels. -No IAP. WHAT DOESN’T WORK: -Combat isn’t that fun. -The action buttons are too small and placed to closely to each other. -The controls can be non-responsive. -Glitches where you walk into walls and fall into floors pop up later in game. -Found two separate instances of the game freezing. -Graphics are too scaled out. -Towards the end, becomes far more frustrating than fun. -Huge file size for a 2-D side-scroller without animated cinematics or voice acting. VERDICT: Until a patch is issued to address at least some of these issues, wait for this to go on sale. Not a horrible title by any means. But, as is, definitely not worth $5.

It’s an ok game. It is so glitchy… On one of the harder levels you just end up getting stuck in a wall. Also, some levels are exact duplicates of the levels in the first game. Is this a sequel or a remake of the first game?
