Sherlock FREE is a Puzzle/Education game from Everett Kaser, first launched in 10th April 2013.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 29+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Sherlock FREE Stand Out

Sherlock is a computerized version of logic puzzles, where you're presented with a series of clues that help you to determine the exact locations of all the images on in the puzzle. The puzzles are all 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6. Each row of the puzzle contains images of the same type (faces, houses, numbers, fruit, street signs, letters, etc). The game scrambles the locations of the items in each row (without showing you their locations) and then presents to you a set of graphical clues that describe the positional relationships of different images. You use the clues to deduce where things can't be (and where they HAVE to be) until you know where all the images are located.

Sherlock FREE contains 10 puzzles in each size for 30 puzzles total. The PRO version has 600 puzzles total, and the ULTRA version has 7500 puzzles total. The ZEN version has 150,000 puzzles total. The puzzles in the FREE, PRO, ULTRA, and ZEN versions are all unique, the four versions of the game share NO common puzzles.

This Puzzle game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

This is our go-to game when Im bored or have a few extra minutes waiting for something or someone. Ive been a lover of Sherlock since the mid-90s. We have it on our iPhone and our iPad. We never tire of playing it. At 76, we think it keeps our brain sharp! Thank you for this wonderful game.

Are the faces that of Sherlock, Watson, etc? Please give us a list.

Great puzzle game combining both elements of deduction and logic. We have been trying to find a game that combine logic and deduction for a long time. And this is the best one that we have found (on iOS). This is a true game with both of them that makes you actually and solve what place where. They are other version of this app with different/more puzzles and levels, with a price, but in truth we believe there are all a fair price and its worth the money.

This one got it all right. What began as shareware in the 90s is still a home run; if you liked the systematic logic grid games from the old Dell books, this is the logic game for you. The original included 65,000 different puzzles. Id finished about 22,000.

No time pressure, easy graphics, using our brain for FUN and exercise! We donated $5 waaay back when this was on shareware, just found the app… Our daughter n we had a bet who could go longest without paying for an app… This is the ONLY app Ive ever paid for n Ill do it again if we ever have to! THANKS SHERLOCK.

Would recommend to anyone. Fun and just challenging enough.

Begone hidden object games and bejeweled clones, here stands SHERLOCK, developed by the god of puzzle games.

We love the way Sherlock presents a classic logic puzzle. It's always just enough of a challenge, with a hint available — just a hint! — if you just don't see that one key move. Everett's games always work perfectly on our classic iPad and iPad Pro, and we enjoy the challenge of keeping our times down.

The game does not have a polished look to it, but we very much enjoy the logic puzzles.

We first bought Sherlock for DOS and the needed to buy a mouse to play it. It's simple, though not easy. It took a while to get used to the mobile gameplay, though otherwise it's the same game. Because there's no reading involved in the game, our kids learned to play before they could read.

Well thought out yet simple. We are so tired of the same old games being repackaged over and over again. This is logical and the only thing stopping you from getting a fantastic score is the way you use your brain power. Absolutely love the game, best gaming value we have found. So why only 4 stars? A request to the developer, the score handling is not good. There is no instant reward/feedback (apart from the annoying splashscreen). Youve done the hard part and created a game worthy of accolades, but the interface needs work. When we finish one puzzle, we want to take a few seconds to review our score not immediately be presented with the next puzzle. We want to see how we did compared to other players on this puzzle and compared to all puzzles. Yes, you can get there, but we always waste a few precious seconds having to hit more and then scores before the clock on the new puzzle starts ticking. Personally, if you take a little time(get some professional help if needed) and make the interface much slicker and the graphics more glitzy, this game could easily become the thinking persons Candy Crush Good Luck.

The unattractiveness of the puzzles turns us away, despite the fact that we generally enjoy these types of games. Sad.

In the middle of a game the play area stopped responding completely. Ive closed the app and restarted it several times now but the app is just a brick. We wouldve bought the full version but if the game doesnt work it doesnt work.

We bought the full version before the iOS update and theres no way to download it. We dont want to rebuy it again.

LOL! If you can't find the instructions then this classic logic game probably isn't for you (in plain English, they're only a couple taps away). We played this and a few of the developer's other games years ago on the PC. We were immensely pleased to find he had created an iPad version. Great brain exercise. Classic game done simply and done well. Highly recommend this for logic thinkers and couch detectives :D. Actually, we highly recommend any of the developers games for those people inclined towards these kinds of puzzles! We're off to purchase the first pack of puzzles for hours of brain fuel.

Love this game having been playing it for years.

You do not provide any instructions as to how this game is to be played. It was recommended so thought we'd give it a try. Do Not play most games so cannot rely on similarity to other games to guide us as to how your game should be played.
