If we had to say the least this game is legendary. We first saw this game in Crossy road and we swear it looks awesome. They cooked with this one.
Updates seem to introduce weapons that are not only useless, but keep knocking the enemies off the screen making it harder and harder to predict their projectiles or even to avoid colliding into the enemies themselves. Don't get us wrong, we love the challenge, but the game was already challenging and seemed well balanced before introducing the so called "updates" that aim to knock us off the screen along with the enemies that are being introduced. Also, why is this not available on Apple Tv.
Best mobile game since among us and all ads seem optional.
This game is soooo fun and entertaining we love how its the graphics from Crossy road would highly recommend.

We decided to play this game again a few days ago after 5 years and realized new changes! We do think theyre cool and all but the daily challenges are not working and am a bit upset that we cant use them. Please fix this bug so we can experience this new feature.
Its makes us mad a lot like Crossy road but the graphics are WAY better although we love Crossy road too and this games graphics are just wow.

We got this game because of Crossy road, because Hooty gave us a high score of 1207! We love this game, and Im planning to get all the skins which we know will take a long time. Anyway, this game is great, the style is very much like Crossy road. At least the coins are. Lovely.

They finally fixed the daily missions! Game is great again.
This is one of our favorite games of all time! Ive played since launch and have enjoyed every moment of it. We actually got back into doing the daily missions, however as soon as the date for 2024 rolled around, it sort of broke the system for us. Id be delighted to see it fixed in the future.
We would like to start by saying, this game is amazing. The actual gameplay loop is fun and engaging, you can earn anything that effects gameplay, and its easy to do so. That being said; the ads are ridiculous. They are everywhere, if you die and you just want to go to the main screen, bam an ad. Even if you dont gain something from them. And you cant escape them while playing. While you actually play the game, you can get ads that talk while you are playing which is very annoying when you are trying to focus (or your like us and listen to a podcast while playing, so you cant hear what is being said) and these ads lag out the game, we have died before because of these annoying popups, and in order to restart we have to watch an ad. We love this game a lot, and we continue to keep playing it today even with these issues. But please tone the ads down a bit.
Its not to bad now its still fun.
We actually really like the game itself, we're just furious that paying to remove ads doesn't get rid of the ones that play in the bottom right corner during the game, just the ones that play after every round (which you can skip by just force closing the app and reloading it).
You can continue after you die with coins until you pay to remove ads. Instead of periodic ads in the free game they force you to watch ads to continue after you pay for it. Paying doesnt remove ads it only moves them. So lame.
Im a huge fan and have been playing this game off and on over 10 years. We recall it helping with nerves in the hospital when our daughter was born – in 2014! We picked it up again this year, but whatever recent version is unable to restore our purchases, and we get errors trying to purchase ad-less play again. Reached out to Mighty games but no response. Serious bummer.
Cant remove ads and no Game Center sync.
If 2 homing missals fire from enemies on either side of you it's pretty much granteed to hit you.
Daily missions have been broken since 2024 started with no update to the game since. Please fix.
Played for like 5 min. Tolerable amount of ads until we lost all game audio to a McDonalds ad the size of a stamp that played while our round continued. Had to play the game with no audio and a small distraction. Obviously audio isnt necessary but thats just obnoxious.
This was a great game to play during a short break at work or something similar a few years back; however, due to the age of this app a few things have made it unappealing to us. First, your progress in character/weapon unlocks will not be saved to the cloud sonic you set this app on a new device it will act like youve never played the game before. Secondly the app is not properly formatted for the new notch design of iPhone 14 Pro. The banner for achievements or pickups is hidden behind the notch, ruining the user experience.
Ive had this game since October of 2015. We play it regularly, and have made many purchases since we first downloaded it. We loved playing it, because it relaxes us. We always mute any game we play, and this one is no different. Even when the game is muted, the new ad experience is not.we will check back in a month, and if the ridiculous new blaring ads continue to open and play on the playing field while we are flying, we will delete it. Its a shame, it was our favorite way to relax.
But now its filled with the most annoying ad scheme. So disappointed in the developers.
How to play a game that cannot be played.
With the newest update, there are now ads in the game while playing. This is ridiculous and at the simplest level simply interferes with playing the game properly. Unless this is reversed we'll just delete.
We love this app! We hope no one makes a cooler game but we would like it to have like a story like why are you up there with Maverlick and others fighting tvs, phones, robots, n stuff but anyway, your game is LIT! Im sorry to all the Crossy Road fans but its an in your face for you guys like this is like Crossy Road but on a gunship!! If you are the devs of Crossy Road, we want to tell you that Shootyskies is better but we like them both! Please make Crossy Road easier please if you are not the devs of Crossy Road, please forget this text starting from the asterisk on Crossy. If you are not there devs, we still love your game! Hi, thanks for reading our review. We have played this game for 5+ years and its our favorite game. We love everything behind it. We do think something should be added. We think you should be able to equip many weapons at the same time for each run, but we think there should be a way for you to unlock spots for those weapons you want to equip using the credits you earn in the game. In our opinion, we think this will benefit a whole lot for users in a fun way. Being able to unlock spots to equip more weapons will be a gunnerway to use your weapons you want to equip. This game is our favorite on our phone and we play it for about an hour every day. However, there are many features that we would like to be added to the game. 1. The golden characters. They literally do nothing other than having a shiny gold-scale texture and shooting only American Missiles. So whats the point in spending golden tickets on them when they literally do closer to nothing than actually being cool. We, as well as many other users, would love to see the golden characters get new abilities, such as naturally dealing more missile damage and charging missiles faster. Add guns Super Shooty to them by default as well. This will make the price you pay for them(golden tickets) be much more worth it. 2. The missiles attack. At the beginning, they are better than the default single gun. However, once you get enough gun upgrades, the missiles become practically useless compared to the guns. There should be missile upgrades as well, such as faster charging, more damage, and even custom missiles. 3. Golden characters should make enemies award more points and give more coins with a higher chance of dropping coins. For example, some enemies would drop 1 coin, while others would have a chance to drop 2 or more coins. 4. The bosses. Bosses should ALWAYS drop coins. They should AT LEAST drop 3-5 coins. 5. The weapon selection. You should be able to select multiple weapons to use at the start. You should also be able to upgrade the weapons youve unlocked so they start stronger at default. Please consider adding these features, as Im sure many players would appreciate these changes.
Interesting unique targets. A lot of fun shooting at these odd things! Im getting better but nothing to email home about. Colorful and musical. We never know what to expect next. Recommended for innocent fun.
We bought a lot of games on the App Store and this is our favorite game. We absolutely love it, we believe its one of the most beautiful and imaginative games ever made. We only have one request. Could you make a paid version with no ads? This may sound silly but we would even pay $100 for the game. We know Im in the minority but we think a lot of us would pay $9-$20 for an ad free version. You could keep the ad supported version for people that dont want to pay but for those of us that love the game and play it every day (for a couple years now) we would like to just play without the ad interruption. But thank you very much for this game. We love everything about it. The funny sound, the crazy enemies, the slogans that pop up when something explodes, the cheeky naming schemes, EVERYTHING about it. In our opinion this is the greatest mobile game we ever played. There are beautiful games like Altos Adventure, Candy Crush, Toy Blast, Inside, Monument Valley but this one we never get tired of. We cant bring ourselves to play any of those again but we never get tired of this one and Crossy Road. Thanks.
So we were playing Crossy road when we decided to figure out what the friends of crossy people were and all the other games cost money so when we got to shooty cat we saw it was free we thought Id download it and give it a try we thought we wouldnt like it so much then when we saw previews of the game it looked really fun so we got on and we were right we LOVE THIS GAME.
But your reusing missions tho. We noticed there was the exact same missions this month from 2018.
We absolutely love this game! We personally think its one of the best free mobile games out! But, we do have some problems with it. Now Im not sue if Im just playing the game wrong or playing on bad settings but sometimes its just too chaotic and we cant see what projectile is coming for us. Sometimes there are just too many explosions and we cant see anything on our screen. We play on skirmish difficulty and still find it very challenging. If anyone has any tips on how to be better, please tell us because we want to be better at this game but sometimes its just too difficult. Thank you.
Hello, reader. So, we played this game on release when we were much younger. We fairly recently got back into playing the game on our phone now. We more recently got a new phone, and the curvature of the screen doesnt really work with the layout of the UI. We cant even see how close we are to getting all the characters. We really think we need a content update cuz this game hasnt been touched in FOREVER. Ads are kind of annoying, but you really only get them if you die repeatedly, so being good at the game is a benefit for that kind of thing.
What has happened with the bug issues over this past year. We emailed support and was hopeful that the constant crash of this great game would be addressed. It takes away the joy with every crash over and over again of playing what was our favorite game to blow off steam. Help.
This game acts like its gonna load then it crashes and sends u back to ur home screen. We got an iphone 11 maybe that is y??? Idk but y this game have to do thatttt like broa clogged toilet works better than this game.
The overall game is really fun! There are just a lot of ads. Like, too many. We bought the ad free thing so we didnt have to deal with them. But yeah. WAY TOO MANY ADS.

How can an app provider not have a way to move data or progress to another device? This should be mandatory for all apps in the App Store so that any data and not just purchased data is portable to a new phone. Looks like the end of the road for us with this game as we refuse to start over just because we have a new device.
Seems like it could be a fun game but the ads last longer than the gameplay, at least when first starting. But we couldnt get past the beginning because they were so frequent that it completely ruined the game. Ill be sure to avoid the developer.
Almost everything you do will give you about 30 seconds of unskippable ads, if you die after a run? 30 second ad, if you select a skin? 30 second ad. Its almost like the game is just ads. 50% gameplay 50% ads.
Ads ads ads ads ads. And zero rogue-like elements.
