Find out what gamers are saying about Silent Depth Submarine Sim:

Its a good game but we think it needs a graphic overhaul and being able to go below test depth because the fleet submarines could usually go below test depth relatively safely.

Paid 5 bucks for this game as it made us think of Silent Runner, an old console game. This could be a great game if it were not full of bugs: ships that dont show on the screen, inaccurate distance indicators, ship not turning when rudder is full right or left often we had to restart the game, lose progress to continue game play. Game could also benefit from improvements such as target zoom, ability to attack docked ships, AA Gun. As it is, it is not worth the investment.

The game resets to the beginning after getting passed 2 months. We paid for this app so please fix it.

Love this game a ton and play it all the time, the only reason we stopped playing was because when we set a certain depth, the sub went down but when we tried to re-surface it would not do anything. Its a glitch maybe? Please fix.

We love this naval combat submarine game, but however, it would be a lot better to have infinite reloads for the deck gun on the submarine, especially missions to escort allied aircraft carriers and including other friendly vessels like allied destroyers, battleships, cruisers and allied submarines, attacking enemy aircraft carriers, enemy cruisers, torpedoing enemy battleships, battling against enemy submarines, destroying enemy destroyers and infiltrating enemy naval ports.

We are getting unidentified ships that travel at 0 knots- but still can increase distance while sub is standing still (The ships view like cruisers or destroyers) Sometimes on the bridge view the rudder is missing Bring back oil debris and junkcounter measures- that the PC game had Please dont abandon the game on IOS.

This is by far one of the better WW2 simulator games we’ve played on a device. We love that we dont have to calculate exactly when to fire the torpedoes based on distance speed and trajectory. However a few notes 1) we feel like the patrol zone should change every time you return to port to refuel and rearm. Half the time when Im supposed to patrol a zone on the other side of the map, we use up have our fuel getting from Wake/Midway Islands just to the patrol zone. We even engage some ships as well, making our stay in the zone even shorter. 2) Some of the large Japanese fleets that we’ve encountered, numbering around 10-12 ships, glitch. To the point where it doesnt even identify what type they are, it just says ship. It also doesnt give a speed reading, it says 0 kts. Which is fine we suppose but when we try to sink them they wont go down. 3) Air cover. We recently attacked an aircraft carrier in the game in broad daylight. We were even surfaced. And we sank it easily (minus dodging defending destroyers and cruisers). One addition we would like to see is the addition of Japanese planes actually attacking. Whether from carriers, or, if the patrol zone is closer to Japan, then from the sky. This would incorporate the use of the anti aircraft gun on your sub, instead of it just being there and us not being able to use it. 4) Decoys. Decoys were a staple of submarine warfare of that time, so maybe and additional button for us to launch decoys in case we get swarmed too heavily by Japanese ships would be a plus. Otherwise, awesome game.

In addition to the comments others have made, we have experienced encounters were none of the ships are identified. They are clearly destroyers and light cruisers, but they are identified in the game as simply ship. When sunk they go the correct tonnage. But it worse they dont attack. They usually accompany carrier and battleships in the large targets, but we have had it happen in medium too. Another fix is that sometimes the crew will not reload torpedos. We have had to run from large targets because we empty the FWD and AFT tubes, but it wont reload. There are usually a couple more destroyers to sink and we can do anything about with torpedos. Great start to a game, but needs many fixes.

This is the only real sub game in the App Store Crash dive is good but more of an arcade game. This game will have you playing for years .:I dont bother attacking small or medium targets only large because the map is to big and we dont want to go back to resupply our sub taking on a large group ( carrier) with destroyer escorts will test you every time its never the same , this is the only real sub game we love this game and we’ve been playing since it came out we end our night every nite playing this game.

This is like silent hunter 5 battle of the Atlantic lots of boats best game ever please reply.

This game is great. Is it perfect? No. Like the feet that if you lock your phone you have to load back in. But it is a mobile game. Its basically silent hunter 4 on mobile. Its open world, Saves once you leave the game, and has pretty good sound design and graphics for a mobile game. Probably our favorite mobile game.

Can you add Japanese submarines.

First this is a good game keep up the good work. But the AI are like not that smart. And most of the time we just stay on the surface when theres a destroy.

This game is great overall but an update is needed to fix the submarines you command in war patrol so they can be actual to real us subs used in the Pacific during World War II.

Could you please add first person so you can walk around the submarine as you do in the PC game Wolfpack and please keep the 360 button while you add free roam.

We enjoy many aspects of this simulation however after the latest upgrade the game now automatically takes the boat to 600 feet when resuming from a saved game. The game will not Let you correct the depth and continues with the loss of boat and crew posting: Game Over! We have tried deleting and reinstalling the game with no success in eliminating this action.

We were looking for a submarine sim that didnt take a week to learn to play, but had enough sim strategy in it. We found this one. It reminds us of Silent Service, which we played in the 80s on our Atari 800. We will one day soon get a more in-depth sim for the PC, but we enjoy this on our PC and IOS. Good graphics on iPad and PC. We hope the developers keep this up to date.

Knnen Sie empfehlen Medikamente fr Furz und Durchfall? Ich Furz wie eine groe Trompete. Vollen Klang, wie ein Kaiser Furz. Mein Durchfall fliet wie ein Fluss.

This game was everything we expected, we really wanted a simple submarine sim that wasnt too easy nor too hard. Though this game is already fun, it would be cool to see some more content. For example, adding Japanese submarines you can use like the type b or I-400 would be a great addition, now you could be able to play from both sides. We believe that if you add more and different submarines, you can get some with anti aircraft capabilities that come with them. This brings us to our last addition. It would be cool to see recon aircraft that try to attack you and bomb you when you are at surface- periscope depth. We believe these two additions would make this game even more enjoyable and am looking forward to the future.

We just got the game last week and Im really enjoying it. What it does well, it does very well. But there are some strange missing elements. 1) no radar. Radio was instrumental in the submarine battle in the Pacific during the World War II. 2) we cannot seem to find any clear isothermal layers to hide under. 3) once discovered by destroyers, it seems impossible to hide from them. Even at the easiest level. And related to that, its strange that the depth charges make no sound. That kind of explosion would riddle through the hull . 4) there seems to be no way to raise or lower the periscope without changing your depth. Subs could stay at periscope depth only raising the periscope when needed. This seems like a strange omission. Still however we love the game and Im hoping that there will be updates to address many of the missing elements coming in the future.

This is a very high quality & realistic sub sim in our opinion. Everything from the physics to details is impressive as are the 3D views. Please add a Battle of the Atlantic campaign. Keep up the great work!

Last update still didnt put torpedoes on our maps, but otherwise a nice diversion.

This is one of the best submarine simulators for mobil devices that we have found. The last update brought some great new features and graphics however it also added several bugs that were not there before. * There is discrepancy between map view and periscope view. Ships are not in the same bearing or range as the map shows. * If we pause or save a game while engaged in battle the game resumes with the sub suddenly on the surface, being shelled. These bugs are frustrating and have resulted in abandonment of the game until the next update when we hope these issues will be corrected. We also hope to see new features and missions with new upgrades.

Game play is very good, aided by good graphics and sound. Launchable counter measures, oil slick and debris decoys, and more specific, more limited, more targeted missions could improve the experience. The only major software glitch is frequent uncommanded, instant, excursions below test depth or to the surface, both of which happen at the least opportune moments.

We dont like it and wants our money back no offense but the graphic is not as good as we thought.

Nice try… But not completely bug free. Relative position and motion of targets tend to become less and less accurate during play to the point that the targets disappear even though still in map view thus making it unplayable. Had to remove it.

Not what we expected game to slow graphics not very good not sharp ,not real ,had a game called Silent hunters was a great game graphics were excellent and was fun to play ,this cant wait to get over ,or punch stop. Sorry Chris12 also wish we could get our money back.

We can see there is potential but it just seems to be incomplete.

Numerous problems since last update. Not reliably playable at present.

Our grand son loved this game so much that we installed it on his iPad, but it won’t play. Is there a memory requirement?

Is it a perfect game? No. Is it a game we play often? No. But it is a good game, for mobile. You cant expect the world from a mobile game. It is a fun semi realistic submarine sim.

What is there is awesome. The graphics are good and it is fun to play but you always want more. 1) No medals, it has a place for medals but never have seen one. 2) we were led to believe there would be two classes of subs and more variety of enemy ships. 3) except for home base there are no graphics for islands or ports. Silent hunter 1 (the only good one) had opportunity to infiltrate enemy ports. 4) no specific missions 5) Silent Hunter 1 had a "ward room" or something where you could go in anytime and check your log book and keep track of progress and past missions. We would recommend an update that has been promised but never came.

Deck gun has no range finders thus its useless. No torpedo computer thus lots of wasted torpedoes. No ping sounds from enemy ship. Destroyers magically swerve around most torpedoes. Too few torpedoes on board. Takes far too many torpedoes to sink enemy ships. No log book to review and analyze. Difficult to see.

After last update game no longer works. Problem fixed with new update..

Wish you guys would update it more often. We would pay. Cant find any submarine simulators out there that are this quality.

Love the game, works fine on iPhone sound is great, but just bought a new iPad Pro and the sound doesn’t work tried menu everything was set for sound and volume was turned up but still no sound, any ideas?

You have done a great job starting this sim out. Of course everyone wants more, more, more. We’re sure as time goes on, with more interest, things can and will be improved. Graphics are great, having served upon this class Sub back in the day. Have to say great job all around. Just waiting for our medals to show up. Wait we all ready got the real ones. Keep up the great work. Take her Down, Take Her Deep.

The graphics are nicely done and the game leans more towards simulation than a Call of Duty on water knock-off some of the other comments complain about. Overall we have gone on several patrols and enjoyed the weather effects, fog of war etc… Its all there. Our only request would be a higher variety of missions (sandbox atm) and war targets.

The latest update fixed everything. Well done! We would like to see a campaign mode but this game rocks without it. Great simulator!

Would be good to add missions like search and destroy where one has to do recon to identify and sink certain vessels (if discernible) or interdict certain convoys at a probable location. Also, and this is critical, we should be able to see the torpedo load/ready state on the ship info/damage page as well. Unless we’re missing something we can only get that info currently if we’re at periscope depth. Strategically, there are battles where we don’t want to raise the scope UNTIL the torpedoes are re-loaded and ready to fire.

This is a great game but there are a couple of issues with it. 1. You can’t walk around your submarine which we think would be great. 2. You can’t get off your submarine or upgrade it. 3. You can’t choose missions. 4. The crush depth isn’t labeled so we’re afraid to go below 200ft which you can still very well be depth charged at.

Great game, good graphics, easy to use. Only reason why we have it two starts is due to attacking any kind of destroyers. It doesn’t matter how many torpedoes, or how well you are trying to evade them, they seem to find you and destroy you with you unable to kill them.

We’ve been waiting a long time to play Silent Hunter on a Mac OS. This is a great start! But compared to Silent Hunter 4, it has a ways to go. On the big map, too much time is wasted finding challenging encounters, i.e. Big targets along with destroyers and cruisers to protect them.

It is a decent app, but like a lot of comments said, could use more. Also would be great if they would fix the bug that causes the sim to not reload torpedoes.

We wish we could rate this game higher, but who puts out a WWll Sub-Sim without sonar? Targets must be acquired, and attack runs executed, visually. There is auto-targeting of the torpedoes, but not of the deck gun. Using the deck gun requires approaching to within less than 800 yards, and then guessing at the range. Also, using the deck gun frequently causes the inadvertent selection of reverse thrust because of an overly sensitive thrust selector located within the deck gun sight picture. There is great potential here, if these problems are addressed, we will re-submit a new review.

Have had the game for a wile and now it does not work some kinda bug . Not been updated on over 10 months. Designer is not improving the game it has so much potential but nothing dont buy it if you havent yet not worth it if designers not going to make it fun.

We can’t play the game cus it exits out of the app wen we try to play.

The instructions won’t tell you how to play the game, sink enemy ships, etc. It takes hours to get close to an enemy ship, then you can’t really decide the course of your torpedo. How to do a torpedo spread? No instructions. We loves Atlantic Fleet, but this game. . . There is no understanding of how to play, which takes away the entertainment value.
