Find out what gamers are saying about Silmaris:

Absolutely loving this game. The perfect combination of dice management and interactive fiction. Cant stop playing. Look forward to more scenarios!

A great way to play a tabletop style RPG on mobile. Subreddit for the game is r/Silmaris.

This game is so much fun. Every time we thought we figured it out the story would take a turn but in a good way. After several tries we finally beat it but will continue to play to find all the endings. Well done developers.

This is like a streamlined King of Dragon Pass. Its the perfect strategy game on mobile. If they were to come out with DLC, we would pay for it.

This game has provided us endless hours of enjoyment. The game itself is easy to learn yet very challenging. We’ve played it through countless times and continue to enjoy finding new endings. Enthusiastic two thumbs up!

We’ve never bought an app before but this was fun has kept us entertained during quarantine :)

What an amazing game! Its way harder than we expectedI still havent beaten it. Well worth its cost, and a great purchase for anyone looking for an engrossing strategy game.

We enjoyed it. Havent had all the deaths or completed the quest with the scroll, you can take different strategies to win. Developer promises to add more scenarios . Im eagerly waiting.

The game is written beautifully and is very reminiscent of a D&D type experience. Yet it involves the story of a kingdom rather than just a singular character. All choices have an extremely interesting effect on the rest of the game. We dont know if anything can really be added, but am very excited to see more content.

This game scratched our storybook/rpg/turn-based strategy itch big time! Please improve on this game and use this foundation for future expansions for this setting or other stories.

Some messages are cut off at the bottom of the screen, and the dialog window is hidden behind the main board game window, so Im not sure how Im supposed to read half of the messages on the screen. The game seems awesome! Just wish we could play it. Update: Restarting the app seems to have fixed the display issue. Now we just wish it supported landscape orientation. Overall the game is good fun.

We want to love this game. We do. Its so very close. But am we missing something or does the bird cult always gain dominance. It makes almost the rest of it pointless and basically is just you vs a bird cult guy. If Im missing something Ill change our rating but from what we can tell the bird cult kills you if you leave them in your city. And if you cast them out they take over the other cities then all declare war on you making basically any effort you put in politics pointless. How about a way the bird cult doesnt exist? Or diplomatic missions to friend cities that remove the bird cult influence. Without the bird cult thing 5 starts. But we just cant get behind a game that basically one series of events ruins the gameplay each time.

Silmaris is a well-written, beautifully illustrated strategy game that interweaves its systems with an excellent choose-your-own-adventure narrative. The story is delivered in a procedural and modular fashion, making it very replayable. Resource management is simple (handled with dice) but adds the right mix of complexity and challenge. Your choices what you can do in the story sections, and which goals to pursue on the map are dependent on having capital to spend in any of five resource categories (war, diplomacy, wisdom, exploration, and spying). This is a unique and highly polished game, well worth the asking price. It has strong King of Dragon Pass energy but carves its own path. Give it a chance!

Easy to pick up and start but deep enough to keep you playing for a long while. There are lots of ways to approach different events with surprising and interesting results. We didnt expect much when we downloaded this; it was a real pleasant surprise. If you like games where you make choices that matter, and where there are several valid ways to approach different challenges, dont miss this one.

This game is fantastic. Im hooked, the complexity of trying to win with all the story line options and how they impact you is great. Every game we’ve played has been different. Really impressed by this game. Worth our $5.

We bought this on a whim after reading a not so stellar review that caught our eye. Been playing for about a week now, and we really like the mix of interactive fiction and board game/strategy. No real complaints on our end, so Im pleased.

This game is a middle ground between a medieval themed RTS flash game and Crusader Kings, as a mobile game should be. The passion and thought put into this game is evident and the polish is shiny throughout. We bought this game because it was recommended to us and there were not enough reviews for us to form an opinion. This game is devoid of micro transactions, though its obvious the Fate points are begging for this feature, and similarly devoid of most accessibility options. While this game is on the higher end of mobile games and we definitely do not regret our purchase, text size options and a darker more friendly on the eyes version, at the cost of losing the awesome parchment look, would go a long way. Additionally, as mentioned in the games description and by the author this is not meant to be easy and it is not. A delicate balance matches with trial and error in a luck based system that frustrates and invigorates on the same breath. We understand this may be requesting a breach in artistic integrity but and option to allow a behind the curtain that gives the ability to adjust relationship values, base dice/fate values, councilor properties, handicap properties (adding or removing dice from checks as well as lessening or strengthening story consequences), or the Sorcery! Like ability to rewind time to a recent decision sandbox like environment would be simply divine. If nothing else, Im excited to see the designer move forward into other apps and watching as they progress. Thank you for your time and good luck!

Its more frustrating than fun a lot of times: and it has fewer options than some free flash game versions. Get it at a discount or dont: 4.99 is $4 too much. Its enjoyable for a day or so but very very very repetitive.
