Find out what gamers are saying about Siralim 2 (Monster Taming RPG):

We love this game a lot, had 100+ hours on our main save before we took a break for a while. Now that Im finally getting back into it, we cant remember what it was we were working on with our builds and such since we didnt bother to record our plans anywhere… Its super fun to plow through levels while earning more reputation with the various Gods, at least, though we also dont remember who we really needed to rank up and what items or materials we really needed to get to unlock further bonus features and such. :P All we know is that we can slaughter the enemies in Daily Realms and everything no problem, but with the sigils, it tends to be the exact opposite, lol. And the last Task in our current set for the fortune teller requires us to beat a level 5+ Primal sigils… (I had to check the library to remember what Tasks were and a bunch of other stuff, so Im thankful thats there, maybe we need to read more of that to figure out more strategies and stuff, or just start putting more time into one of our NG+ saves with some of the cheats active to help us out a bit more, lol.)

This game has given us 40+ hours of ocd perfection. Lots of ways to play.

We played (and continue to play) Siralim 1 and had a blast with it; one of the things we really appreciated was that it’s one of the few in-depth games our old iPad can run without any problems. Needless to say we were psyched about this game, especially because it looks like they fleshed out the spellcasting system a lot (creatures can cast spells now with indvidual stats, and you don’t have to worry about running out of charges on your best scroll and having to search for more scrolls once that happens) and made character class have more of an impact– not to mention the various quirky gods (the god of anger who always cusses at you might be our favorite so far, though it’s a close call between him and the creepy/flirty spider goddess of poison). However, one problem: the game has a very annoying tendency to crash when someone (either us or our opponent) casts a spell in combat. We’re still giving it 3 stars because it looks like they tried to take some measures to fix it, with options letting the game run more smoothly on lower-quality devices, and it’s nice that they’re showing consideration for players like us who don’t have the newest devices; also, it seems like it would be a lot of fun if it didn’t do that every time. Maybe add an option kind of like Turbo Mode but that only disables spell graphics or something, not all combat information? We don’t know. Looking forward to playing this when they get the bugs ironed out.

Such an awesome game. We rarely find a game we can put that much time in to… We put about the same amount of time in to the first one. Can’t wait for siralim 3 for iOS!!!

We gotta say when we spent the $5 for the game we were skeptical. This game really surprised us with its simple yet addictive gaming. All the different things you can do to customize your monster and character are refreshing. Definitely worth the money to play the game. If we had to change anything about it it would be to make the class of your character more impactful. It just feels like the only reason its there is to change the color scheme. Which also seems to be a recurring thing with some of the monsters that are just reskins but if you were to update the game and add more monsters periodically it would be a nice touch. Also Idk if its just a personal issue but when ever our alarm goes off the game completely freezes. Keep up the great work.

Great game endless hours and developers are cool they listen to what you have to say.

Its the modern version of Dragon Quest Monsters for the Game Boy Color. The best feature has to be the multi platform cloud saves though. Going from our phone to PC and back again is amazing!

We are writing this review 3 hours after we bought this game, all of which we spent playing it. The game has a great tutorial that gradually introduces all of the various mechanics and systems, and is presented very well. We love the art style and the music, and the fact that you can capture any monster you encounter will be a treat to Pokmon game fans. The controls work very well on our ipad and we even found an option to adjust button placement which helped us a lot. There are so many secrets and things to unlock in this game, it’s amazing. We will be playing this game for a long time to come, and the fact that there is no level cap is great! The game is very addicting and there is always that "let us do just one more floor" feel. Great job dev team on this, we can’t wait to see what you will work on next!

The game itself is great. Like any other RPG, the storyline is bland and basically just level up creatures doing quest after quest. We have no problems with the gameplay but there are some fundamental fixes that would’ve greatly improved our experience, mainly an auto save. When we stop playing, the fear of losing progress is huge, especially since you need to manually save and there are no reminders in the game after each dungeon run. We stopped playing because we lost our progress 30 min in. Furthermore, we do like how the controls can be changed in options but the movement isn’t that smooth and the menu is very confusing. There are just way too many items to customize for the creatures, which is great but a bit too much customization.

But game is broken. Tried uninstall/restall, no help. Will give 5 stars when updated and fixed.

It crashes often. We played for over 27 hours, the game crashed and when we try to open it, an error message opens. Had to start a new game that crashes sporadically.

Can’t play the game it crashes before it starts.

"Siralim 2" is a fantastic sequel in that it retains the core mechanics and spirit of the original while adding enough content for it to be considered a new game. If you enjoyed the original, we recommend buying this. If you’re new to Siralim, we recommend this one over the original because of the many new features added, and the story is different from the first. Thanks for reading!

Old school rpg with random dungeon layouts. Gameplay involves combining multiple complex systems together to make the strongest team you can. Takes multiple ideas from multiple genres for a really fun experience.

We bought this a few weeks ago and we’ve been playing it almost nonstop ever since. The gameplay is absolutely addictive and we’re enjoying every moment! Our only complaint is our device overheating, despite having High Performance and FPS skipping enabled. We’re running an iPhone 6 iOS 10.2.1, if it’s any help. Other than this, it’s as close to a perfect roguelike-Pokmon as it gets! <3.

We’re going to keep this short and sweet. We feel this game brings many games together, but keeps it true to itself (think Pokmon meets Final Fantasy, with other D&D aspects). It’s a fantastic game all around, and is what we find myself playing above anything else (I stopped playing other games just for this lol).. Anyway – the first game (Siralim) has a "free" version of the game (can level up to Lv. 15 (I think?). Once you pay for the game, you can level above Lv. 15). Our only issue with this game is that there was no free version. We’re skeptical about buying games we can’t try, so we’ll try to grab a copy somewhere and try it out before spending our money. We bought this game without trying it out because the quality of the first game was amazing. All of those amazing things, this game builds on, yet it keeps it so fresh that it does feel like a separate experience. Not only is the game worth every penny, the forums/community is wonderful!

Love this game and have already spent 18hrs playing. Our daughter really likes collecting the monsters. Amazing job! Worth it at full price and great free updates.

Shame on u for adding IAPs. Game used to crash whenever you cast a spell, now thanks to this update the game crashes on startup……

The devs are constantly updating and adding balances/features. The description says enough about the game, if you like this kind of game just buy it. You won’t regret it.

We enjoyed it very much. Reminded us of games of our youth. I’d love to see more from this developer!

We already had a lot of fun with the first Siralim, and when our brother and we found out there was a sequel we did an excited very. Regardless of what other reviews say, if you’re interested in trying out Siralim 2 we highly recommend you play the first a bit (it has a free demo up to lvl 15) to get an idea of what’s in store. Some people also complain about the controls but after a bit of fidgeting in the options menu you can shape the layout to your needs.

Ok, we installed this game with high hopes. But the game crashes when we’re supposed to fight the dungeon shade, so if you could help us or give us a refund we would be much obliged.

We suppose we could live with the crappy graphics, but the interface and menus are so tedious and awful to play with. We can’t believe this game was recommended by others.

Really scratches the itch for a monster catching rpg- limitless playability and steam sync is a huge plus.

Fantastic game! Picks up right where the first one left off in terms of gameplay. This game is loaded with things to do and we can barely put it down!

Hey! We’re loving this game so much right now we’re already HOURS into it. The further we get in the game though the more we notice a few things. 1.) The dpad control is so bad, adding a joystick option would fix this issue. 2.) confusing: we now understand the game and all the features but when we first started we were so confused. To fix this you either need to make a more detailed tutorial which could be optional or simplify the game a lot.

If you liked the first game, you’ll love this one. Great work!

Siralim 1 was one of the funnest rpg’s we have ever played. Old school rpg with tons upon tons of stats to allocate points to. Throw in monsters to collect and a castle to upgrade, and you have a good time always waiting in your pocket. Siralim 2 somehow manages to improve this already perfect formula by adding MORE monsters (which can now be collected or merged to make even more powerful beasts), boss fights (which the first one lacked), and just more fun goodness. The game never ends, so you can just keep upgrading your character forever. If you’re looking for an old school rpg to snuggle with or a companion piece to Pokemon, this is honestly the best value for your buck. Thylacine Studios are a young game company and Siralim 1 and 2 are their only games so far, but they are impressing the heck out of us with this series. Bravo Thylacine!

Basically dragon quest warrior monsters 2 for gbc but better and endless.

This is a really deep rpg, monster collecting game. Tons of content and endless hours of gameplay. It is a grind fest. Our one complaint is that the sound cuts off after your phone rings. You have to reboot to get it back on. And there are rare instances when a battle will end a stalemate where no one can win or lose and you’ll need to reboot game or retreat.

We have been playing this game steadily since it came out, from intervals of 15-20 minutes to a couple of hours at a time. We have to say, it’s rare for a game to hold our attention so consistently. It’s just… So entertaining and fun… We can’t get bored! The developer seems awesome. This is reinforced by the announcement (on Steam) of free DLC. We can’t wait to see what else the developer has up their sleeves!

Amazing game with old school rpg sensibilities.

We bounced hard off Siralim 1, because without learning anything about it we assumed it was a JRPG and after 15 minutes decided it was an awful JRPG. Ironically, it actually is a combo of old-school party turn-based combat, rogue-like random dungeons and encounters, and monster collecting / breeding, which is a LOT more appealing to us than any typical JRPG formula. We are having a blast with Siralim 2, it takes a few hours before you are introduced to the more important game mechanics, but wow we are enjoying it. And we feel like a doofus for skipping Siralim 1.

We have an iPad Pro and the aspect ratio is way off. The controls are off the screen making the game unplayable. If you continue on into the game, the Dev allows you to alter the location of the controls. Similarly the resolution is off and needs to be adjusted. The game does seem interesting but not a great first impression.

We’ve started the game a number of times, we put in our name, choose the gender, than pick our staring monster, and when we choose the teleporter, the screen goes black and it kicks us off. We’re a fan of siralim, and am sure it’s a 4 or 5 star game if we could get it working. Please fix, or let us know what’s wrong.

Like Siralim 1, much of the text is in 8 point font. We reported this as an issue there, was never fixed, still not here.

We were so excited for this game and am now bummed because it crashes in the tutorial every time. Can’t get into the first battle. We’re sure they’ll fix this but until then it gets a one star, sorry. Looking forward to the fix though!

There is no way to get past the first screen on iPhone 6plus.
