Community Insight:

This is an interesting game, clever and not easy to solve. Because of that, our criticism is that the results disappear too quickly and there is no way to see the correct answer once you solve it in order to figure out how it works. Its confusing that the positions of the numbers are not revealed but we understand thats part of the difficulty and appeal. Still, that being said, we need the screen to either hold until dismissed once the puzzle is solved or the ability to go back and see what the correct answer was.

Fun game! Would be better if you could increase levels of difficulty (we.e. Numbers can repeat, five spaces, six spaces, seven, use of zero).

We love this game. The last 3 days it has been returning answers that are not possible. Something somewhere in the app is broken. Please, please fix it. Thank you for creating this app.

In the new version all the guesses are hidden. Is that a bug.

Update: Thank you for fixing it! The app was just fine when code number guessed stopped displaying. Please fix.

Fun puzzle game, only thing is the last couple times Ive opened the game, our guesses no longer show on the board. The pegs light up but no guess, so not sure if Im doing something wrong or if its an issue with the game.

It took us some time to figure out what exactly we were doing, but once it clicked, the game became MUCH more enjoyable. We guess we should have read the reviews first, ad that would have saved us quite a bit of experimentation. Though…. Figuring it out on our own was kind of a little achievement for ourselves. =D As for the negative reviews… We don't know what to say. We think the developer handled himself in a very restrained manner (much more than we could have). We guess we could say that not everyone is going to enjoy game they try and play… And some people have more patience for games while others just want to win-win-win everything they come across without too much thought or effort (there's Checkers fans and then there's Chess fans…. And everything in-between… Not everyone is going to land on the same spot across that spectrum <shrug> – but those who don't land in the spot they envision themselves landing shouldn't fault the creator of whatever it is they're trying to play:;: that's just rude – accept that you landed where you landed and either be happy with it or strive to reach where you wanted to land). Thank you, developer (we're sorry, we can't remember the name and hitting 'Cancel' on our review in order to see it will delete what we've written), for making this fantastic little puzzler. Endless replay value and very enjoyable. We're definitely gonna have to keep our eye open for games you release in the future. =D.

UPDATE 2019-10-31 Im still playing this game still loving it UPDATE 2019-07-14 we like this game very much, but can you fix some things?we dont want to lower the stars unless no response. We play this game on our iPhone & iPad. On the iPhone, Im asking for more data and we come over to the iPad and find less data. Mind blown! We were asking to be able to see the last screen that we won on. We get on the iPad and even more data is gone! On the iphone, at least, we see what level and how long we took in seconds. We really lovevtoyhg 2019-06-20 Ok, for those bad reviews – Come on! We have played this game 368 times and only lost 13 games and that was while learning the game. If they changed it, it would be way too easy & not worth playing. All we can say to the complainers is to stop being so lazy. Black dot means that one of your numbers is correct & in the correct spot, but they arent going to tell you which one. Thats part of the fun. Grey dot means that you have a correct number but in the wrong spot. We solve almost all of these within 5 to 7 tries. What we would ask for is to show or be able to toggle back so that we can see the winning number so we can take a screenshot if we want. If the dev is willing, we have several ideas that would be easy to add for history and such. We would not change the game play at all. Ive tried at least 10 other similar games and we havent found one that even comes close to competing with this one. Thank you for this name. The only way that it could be any better is to give access to better history like seeing the final winning screen or to be able to see how many times you won it in 5 tries or 6 tries, etc. Thank you.

Like this app a lot but a suggestion that would make us like it more would be a dark theme.

Just like the old Mastermind. One request is to be able to go back and see the game you just finished. It instantly goes to your score, and you cannot go back to review your accomplishment.

Can't see the tips so not sure what the dots mean. It comes up but then it moves down or something so we see something about colors but it's hard to read what it's saying what they mean. Can't read the tips if they're hidden.

This is a fun logic puzzle. Unfortunately we are having trouble reading the in-game text. Please make the text darker so that it is legible. Thank you.

We love this game. The dot configuration would make the game too easy if they were ordered according to number position. The game is kinda like sudoku but faster (less moves). So its quick and easy.

Very much like the old game of MasterMind, as they say. Needs one improvement, IMHO – after game is over, if the correct solution was not reached, then you should be able to go back and review the correct answer along with your ten choices so you could learn from your mistakes. Thanks for a good app.

Since it is not Mastermind, we will not make those comparisons. But, one very annoying and frustrating flaw is, When the game ends, it opens a new page or screen thus preventing the player from reviewing his or her moves. This truly mars what would otherwise be an enjoyable game. Also, it would be nice if the same number could be placed in a given row as a matter of honing in to an answer.

As others have noted, the black and white dots were confusing at first. Once we read the developer reviews that they only relate to the number of right digits & places, but not their position, we figured it would be impossible to solve and almost deleted the game. Then, we tried different strategies to solve for the digits and found that it is in fact solvable and is just challenging enough to keep you from getting bored with it. We realize now that if the dots gave you the position of the correct digits, it would be much too easy and would become boring fast. This game will make you think and its fun because a round is fast. As another reviewer stated, if it had landscape mode on the iPad, Id give it 5 stars. Its fun – give it a try, but just make sure you understand the rules.

Good clean fun. App does not rotate to landscape in iPad. Fix that, then will give 5 stars.

This is a fun game and a good app. Reviews from people complaining are from people who cant comprehend the rules of the game. The pegs dont go in order. The amount of black pegs are the amount of correct digits in a correct position. The amount of white pegs are the amount of correct digits in an incorrect position. The challenge is to find which digits are in the correct position through intelligent trial and error; moving the numbers and seeing how that affects the number of black and white pegs, in order to deduct which digits are the correct ones before you run out of guesses.

App does not allow entering same number multiple times on the same line. Original Mastermind game allowed this. Ability to do this is necessary tactic to solve the puzzle, otherwise it degenerates to mostly a guessing game.

The dot peg signals don't make sense. They are not signals in order of the numbers from left to right. Say the black peg is on the top left square, we'll try different combinations with the same first number until we get to the 6th try, and the first peg is no longer black even though the number didn't change. Too confusing. EDIT: Then thats a POINTLESS GAME, developer response. SMH.

The peg numbers give false information. It cannot be rocket science to program a game like this! Look elsewhere.

This is a simple version of the mastermind game. The interface is very plain and clean. Works great.

Great quick time killer that engages your brain. Thanks.

We need an antidote. We are addicted.

Good brain teaser. Give it a try.
