Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Exactly what Ive been searching for. We were spoiled by the depth and beauty of Hardwood Solitaire 3 which was never properly brought to mobile. Never found a solitaire suite that compares until now. Solitaire Forever II provides just the right level of options and control for smooth and unhindered gameplay with beautifully rendered 3D aesthetics. Meanwhile its incredibly affordable and also available for PC. Thanks so much to the developer for going far beyond the typical solitaire experience to bring us something that truly shines.

Takes a little effort to figure out but it is worth it. The solitaire games on this app you dont find altogether in other apps. Excellent solitaire app. Fine graphics.

We've tried so many solitaire apps and every time we always end up deleting them and going back to this developer's apps. Every time he comes out with something new it's better than the last. Always open to suggestions for improving the app and very responsive and quick. This app is very customizable and looks and plays seamlessly. Update – we dont know why we keep doing this to myselfevery so often we go looking for a new solitaire app. We did that again a couple weeks ago and ended up trying a few out. We found one that looked good and tried it out for a spin. It was good but after a short while we got really annoyed with the ads. Sooooo, yet again Ive come back to this one. When will we ever learn.

This is our favorite solitaire app. There are a lot of games to play. If you dont know how to play them, the rules are easy to read and follow. If you have any issues, you can email the developer and he answers quickly. We highly recommend it.

The app crashes everyday. Need to restart our iPad everyday to play?? Otherwise its great.

We love this app! Playing Number 10 on iPhone 7Plus running OS 13.5.1. Game crashes upon opening. We have deleted and reinstalled; did not solve the problem. Please work on this. Its a great app.

Love this game. One of our favorites. Lately, unfortunately keeps crashing on our iPhone 8 Plus using 13.3. Sometimes have to restart the phone for the app to work properly for a short time. Especially enjoy La Belle Lucie.

This app is so well done. The customization is top tier. The animations. Everything. We see the last update was 3 years ago. We do hope more games are added and it continues to be updated. Its an excellent experience as is though. Bravo. Update : seems to be missing some of our favorites unfortunately.

Doesnt crash as much, but many games get stuck with the last cards or few last cards on the board making it impossible to finish. Plays better in portrait mode, but other than that it isnt much of an improvement over the original.

Im a longtime owner of Solitaire Forever and a free user of Klondike Forever (because we like 2 different games and theres no easy way to switch in solitaire forever). This game crashes – a lot. On an iPad, every few days it gets int a mode of starting up with a white or black screen. It will have to be force closed dozens of times and restarted before it will start properly – then it will be normal for a week. The animation is not smooth while any sounds are playing (on a late model iPad). Sounds continue after they should have stopped. Whe you start a new game, the game warns you that a game is in progress, even if the last game is finished. Three shuffles and a draw is not available in the list of games.

Love the app but hate the fact that on our iPad, it crashes half of the time.

This app needs updating to current iOS. It keeps giving us a black screen when opening. Have to delete and reload. Means going through purchase every time. App does then say you own and reloads for free.

This used to crash once a week or so. Now with iOS 15 it crashes constantly. Needs an update.

Nine times out of 10 this just keeps crashing on us when playing on our IPad Air II. We loved to play Spider on the old Solitaire Forever, but it became almost impossible to win on it once the new version came out (hmmm). So we bought this version and almost every time we start a game or try to customize something, we just get a black screen.

We play solitaire all of the time. We just got this game and it wouldnt open. After awhile it did open. We found the game we wanted to play and then the card wouldnt stick where they were supposed to. We could move the card, but it wouldnt stay where it should. And yes, Im sure it was the correct card. And just as we were trying to figure this out, the app crashed. Im using an iPad Pro, and have plenty of space for this game. We actually spent the $7.99 because we thought that would make the game work. We want our money back.

Looks great but uses almost twice as much battery as the old version (even with advanced graphics turned off) and often freezes when launching the game after using other applications.

Great things happen when you win a game. Very configurable when you figure out how to do it. The interface takes some getting used to but OK. The board could be sizable but it is OK, a little small for us.

Solitaire forever is our favorite solitaire game so we were excited to see this new collection from the same developer. We are enjoying exploring the new look etc. But we really miss we could choose the relaxed mode that the original Solitaire Forever has available. It is a small thing but it changes game play for those of us who want to be able to move groups of cards not just one card at a time. We also dont like the timer and statistics being displayed so we are flopping back and forth at times between screens. We love the previews of the games and the many options for layouts. We just feel we will not play this as much because of the lack of being able to move groups of cards in our favorite games. We heard back from the developer and he was very helpful. We do take exception however to his remark that allowing relaxed mode in the first Solitaire Forever was a mistake. We are not a Solitaire purest but we did realize that this mode changed the strategy of the original game. It did make it easier to win but it also meant that you use a different strategy to win the game and it did not insure you would always win. It seems to us there are quite a few games of solitaire available that allow you to play in the more difficult but traditional way. We enjoyed this relaxed mode because it changed the game a bit and made it different not a clone like the new Solitaire Forever 2. It also was just an option after all. So the new Solitaire Forever 2 has new graphics, new controls and lots of games but you will be playing the same games you can play on many other apps and there is no ability to change to the old relaxed mode. If you like a timer running and stats being tallied you can now see that if you want. We play solitaire to relax and have fun. We doubt if we will be playing this game very much but others will no doubt love it.

We were excited to see that a second version of this app was available. We play the first version almost every day. This incarnation has some issues that need to ironed out to warrant a better rating. 1) Ive yet to play one full game without the app shutting down during gameplay. We have the app on our iPhone 6 and 7 and have had similar issues 2) we will say that when the game does restart it at least remembers where you were before the crash. 3) we havent had enough time to play around with the backgrounds and getting to know the different layouts and card choices because of the crashes. 4) A minor nit to pick but could you please put a star or some other icon to denote which games are new to the second version. Please address those issues and Im sure Ill love this version as much as we did the original.

To the developer we dont know if you remember us. Im the one that uses to email you about your original game called Xolitaire. Well we still miss your original masterpiece but, we believe you have successfully produced another masterpiece with this one. We dont know how many of you people out there may remember Xolitaire but it was hands down the greatest solitaire game ever. As one that has downloaded so many solitaire games to try to find one that could be a suitable replacement to Xolitaire. We can finally stop searching for Ive finally found it in this one. You all maybe asking why wasnt the first Solitaire Forever a suitable replacement? Because the first one didnt have nearly the amount of options and ways to customize your gameplay experience. So to all out there take it from one that has downloaded practically every solitaire game in the App Store. This is the only solitaire game youll ever need hands down. To the developer of this masterpiece we only have but one very small request PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL MUSIC FROM XOLITAIRE. That is the only thing we really miss the most from Xolitaire now. Because you pretty much brought Xolitaire back in a very polished fashion. Just bring back the soundtrack and this masterpiece will go from a 9.5 to a 1,000,000 for us. Thank you so much for finally bring another solitaire game masterpiece back to the App Store the search is finally over.

The graphics might be fancier in the new version, but game play suffers for it. The cards are harder to read, the table tilting and tipping as you brush past it is a nuisance, the now-gone slider for sweeping back and forth through previous moves worked much better than the new interface. If we turn our phone sideways and zoom a little, the cards are easier to read, but the iPhones pull down of the notification screen is accidentally triggered many times as we reach for cards near the top of the screen. Make the cards bigger and easier to read, bring back the slider, and get rid of (or make optional) the obnoxious table instability, and youll go a long way toward improving this new version of the game.

Ive been a user of the old version for a long time. The old version is simple to use. The user interface is intuitive. This new version is anything but! The new version is a major disappointment and certainly not worth the price.

We have several apps by this developer and they are AWESOME to play, graphics are really nice. This is so worth the $9.99 as lots of card games. The developer is very quick to help with any problems that should occur. THANKS for your help today as was so nice to get a fast response.
