State of Survival Resource Gathering Guide

State of Survival is a PvP focused game but resources play an important factor to continue upgrading and unlock stronger troops and better tech. Let’s get into it on how to maximise your resources.

Overview

• Collecting resources in your settlement will not bring you much resources.
• Gathering resources in the wild is a must if you plan to keep upgrading without hiccup.
• Higher tier troops costs a lot of Metal and Gas so these are what most higher level players short of.
• Healing troops cost lots of resources which will happen after a big war or PvP event.

High Level Resource Area

• Resource tiles range from level 1 to 8.
• Higher resource tiles has more resources in it and gives higher basic gathering speed. So basically you can gather longer at resource tile level 8 compared to a level 6 for example and save time by not having to keep resending marches as often.
• Higher level resource tiles are located at the center of map called the Oasis. So big alliances are mostly gathered at the center.
• Try to gather from the highest level resource tiles available to you.

More Marches

• Two is better than one. Same for gathering resources, always send out all slots for gathering unless you are doing other events.
• Especially for lower level headquarters where you don’t have enough troops yet, it is better to send out equal amount of troops in each march to have few slots gathering at the same time instead of just sending one march out with full troops so your gathering speed multiplies by the number of marches sent.
• One of the Development Research is Leadership which increases number of marches you can send. This research will help gathering in the long run. VIP level 8 will add another march slot too so it’s worth investing into VIP for long term benefits.

Increase Gathering Speed

There are few ways to increase gathering speed:

• Economic Research.
• Economy Talent.
• Alliance Showdown Statue up to a maximum of 10%.
• Alliance Throwdown Statue or Challenger Fist up to a maximum of 10%.
• Alliance Reservoir Statue or Spring of Power.
• Alliance Territory Benefits that is to move your settlement inside the Alliance Territory to get the benefits which include gathering speed.
• Use Gathering Speed Buffs. Using buff is rather cheap and the lowest one which only costs 100 biocaps will increase gathering speed by 50% for 8 hours with the highest one costing 600 biocaps increasing gathering speed by 100% for 24 hours. Tap on your headquarter then select Settlement Buffs, go into Development and choose Gathering Speed. This is a rather cheap option to increase your resources provided you are hardworking at gathering.

Send The Right Heroes

Some heroes have increased gathering speed on certain resource type:

• Mike: Food Gathering Speed +20%
• Chef: Wood Gathering Speed +20%
• Rusty: Metal Gathering Speed +15%
• Ghost: Gas Gathering Speed +15%

Conclusion

• Always send your troops out for gathering before you go offline.
• It is always better to send few marches with equal number of troops than a full march if you don’t have enough troops.
• Send the correct heroes to increase gathering speed.
• Use Gathering Speed Buff before sending out to gather if you are short on resources.
