Were gonna make it to the end of the April to go golfing on Saturday April 6th.
We've been playing this game for years and really enjoy it. Good soundtrack to go along with it. BUT, once you make it to level 119 good luck going any further without spending some cash for level add-ons. We're telling you it's impossible to go it without. We've been trying to pass 119 for about three years. So yeah, great game up until 119.
Used to play this game on PC back in the day so we downloaded this for the nostalgia. We made it 40 levels before giving up. Its just so ridiculously hard its not fun or worth it. There are plenty of other similar games out there Im going to try instead.
We played all the other Sparkle games and loved them. They are challenging, but you can beat them eventually if you figure out some good strategies. This game, in the other hand, is just an attempt to make a quick buck. The game play is not better than the other ones, except you lose immediately after the marbles touch the whole. In the other ones, you have a few seconds after that to still make it. Once you lose, you get a screen offering to play longer for .99 cents. We paid for the no ads feature, and then you have to pay constantly if you want to win. And you only have five lives; why?? Oh right, so you can buy more if you run out. Not worth it. Go with the other ones, pay for the ad removal feature and enjoy them. This is just a garbage mix of the worst features of Candy Crush and Sparkle.
Great game BUT misleading advertising promise. Says that any purchase stop ads. So, we naively made a $1.99 purchase to stop the ads. We figure the game was worth at least that much THEN we hit level 25 only to be offered another purchase to unlock or watch more ads.
We have the original sparkle game for our iPhone. It works well but we figured Id give the new version a try. Well, first we paid for some in app purchase just to remove ads. Which was fine. We dont mind supporting developers but the newer features such as chained orbs and timed levels that can essentially only be beaten with special powers that you have to pay for is ridiculous. So, if you like pay to win or pay to play apps this is the app for you. The only way to play this app at later levels is to pay. No thanks. We will go back to the original.
We love this game so much but its sad that there are still no new update on this particular epic. Even after 2 years .. Why cant it be updated like other games . Bcos we have finish the levels even acquired over 1,000 butterflies… But nothing changes ,, just repeating the same stages over and over again.
We paid for extra lives and a bomb comes up and kills us. Its done it several times in a row. The game is fun and challenging but Im not going to put any more money into it if Im not getting the full lives.
This is the only iPhone game we really play at all. Simple but challenging. Addictive and well made. And the best part NO FREAKING ADS after every level.
Make a tower defense version where you can place orb slingers to shoot the orbs and some orbs maybe have more health? And maybe you could make different types of slingers, we hope you like our idea btw we LOVE ALL OF THE SPARKLE GAMES.
Outstanding, beautiful colors and pretty music that you dont mind listening to. Used to play this years ago, loved it then and love it now.
The gameplay is fun and reminds us a lot of an old game called Zuma by PopCap in the early 2000s (too much maybe? Its like a clone of that game but with a new skin). But that okay; as a fan of that game, Im happy to be able to play it again. Our biggest issue is with how high the difficulty gets on some levels. It sometimes gets so high that it would be impossible to finish without spending money on in app purchases, which isnt fair.
Agree with other reviews that said this could be a great Luxor replacement – the marbles look and feel the same, almost has the same gameplay (minus the amazing music, sound effects and emotion that Luxor gave you) – BUT – even after spending a little bit of money on upgrades, EVERY useful upgrade or power-up in the game is designed to run out, and therefore require you to keep purchasing a couple more to get through the next few levels. We wish we could go back to the days of simply purchasing a game at the outset at a reasonable price and getting all the features you need to enjoy the game instead of the death of 1000 cuts that we have today.
We honestly love this game, but it has happened more than once that the the game resets to the beginning when Im at like level 130, and yeah it makes the whole experience terrible.
Wonder why there is no new sparkle games, because they are focusing there efforts in ripping you off with trash like this. Just make a good game and let us pay for it, why this nickel and dime BS? The future of gaming is pathetic at best… Stay away.
We are very disappointed in this game. Ive played the previous version and loved it. However, despite being a visually beautiful game, this game is designed to be unbearable without paying for in-app purchases. For instance, upon reaching Day 39 (a level in this game) the developers make it impossible to beat without assistance from special power ups that you must purchase. While they do provide the ability to earn free lives (attempts to beat the level) you must wait 25 minutes to get another attempt. Instead they should offer ads as an option to earn a free life or upgrades.
So, was a big fan of the first game. This game is quite good and we enjoy the challenge. Having said that it's super obvious the developer is trying to milk it for all it's worth. So far we seem to be getting our ads every level at this point, we assume this is because we've only lost once, shortly after the bombs feature. Many of the new features, particularly the bombs, combine with the lack of lives to make the game very difficult without paying, paying to remove the ads won't fix that. Fellow players, yes it is possible to play without paying, it's just really hard. Devs, maybe next time don't be so obviously greedy, we'd pay a one time purchase, we're guessing many would, but we're not paying again and again for in game stuff.
The higher the levels the more it actually slows down when you try to shoot orbs. It also declares the orbs are falling when they clearly arent there yet. This version is designed to make you pay not only to play but to win. Epic Fail.
We remember buying sparkle and had a blast, but this is nothing compared to that one, ads every few levels, ads to unlock levels and on top of that buy power ups instead, we don't mind watching ads once in a while, but every 2-3 levels is just insane and on top of that some levels are extremely frustrating with the bomb gimmick that is an instant game over instead of multiplying the orbs.
We dont understand,by far the best,of this type game out there,and wouldnt you know it,they ruined it when they added the word EPIC.EPIC PRICE TAG! We have been playing Sparkle for several years,but the level of difficulty on this one,is what makes it EPIC.we would play a hard level for days,to beat it,but you have to pay for lives.Sorry,let us know,if you make any changes,and we will reinstall.

This game is a bit out a con. After a few levels it is impossible to progress without spending a lot of money. We deleted it.
Watching endless ads, pay to remove ads, still required to watch more ads or pay more. No pay, no play anymore. We want that measly $ back.
When you spend days that turn into weeks trying to pass one level, that is NOT enjoyable!!! You will very easily use all of your accumulated power ups trying to get past certain levels…and still won't pass!! 3 lines at once with hardly any space before the drop hole…it's impossible without a ton of power ups!!! THUMBS DOWN!!! Creators should've stayed truer to the original Sparkle game and kept the talisman feature, at the very least.
Seriously. Everything has a real world price on it. There's no chance of watching ads or completing daily tasks to earn back your power ups which are absolutely necessary to pass some levels because they are so ridiculously fast no matter how many 3 in a rows you get. It's made to be impossible without that cash. You're just better off getting Sparkle Unleashed or Sparkle 2. Not this crap.

When we first played, we thought the game was just OK. Next thing we knew, we were swept up and carried off to a another world on a different dimensional plane, and we could not put the game down. This went on for an embarrassingly long period of time. We have since gotten off of the train, but Ill always remember the trip.

Ever since we played the Sparkle game we found we have enjoyed these games thoroughly. This one is no exception. The graphic, music and feel of the game are great.
