Starship Captain is an epic role-playing strategy game where you travel from between star systems in search of adventure. You start with a small ship and some money and work to build a fortune and see the universe.
Along the way you can buy and sell cargo, accept missions, mine asteroids, attack and plunder other ships, upgrade your ship, and help others. You can talk to patrons of the spaceport bars to uncover multi-part missions and solve mysteries.

• Buy cargo at one spaceport and take it to another to sell for a profit.

We're having an awesome time playing this treasure. Great job.
This game is fun, and easy if you give it like ten minutes! We don't know if it was a glitch, buuuuuuut we wasn't treated to a tutorial, or even a "LET ME TELL YOU EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS" sorta thing, and it actually felt better than a tutorial. With the minimal "this does that, that does this" with certain screens, as well as a locked stat screen (which helps a lot) and crew and missions to keep you interested. We've barely scratched the surface on this, and we love it to bits.
The micro payments have been removed. The game is simple and fun. It reminds us of Traveler and Firefly. Roam the verse, get jobs (missions) and try to keep the crew happy. Or do Traveler and buy and sell cargo.
Needs a few more instructions. But it is easy to restart if you screw up at first and run out of money, which we did. Missions give the most money. Well fighting may give more but we prefer trade or missions. Upgrade your fuel tanks asap to get to more planets and be able to do more missions. We are finding it addicting.
Appears to be old Freeverse Game updated for latest IOS Version. Question is if this developer added in any new tasks or features, or if they simply updated the game to make it work on a newer iOS version.
We played Space Pirates in the 90s. We remember finding it after the game won Java game of the year or something like that. Then apparently it was sold and we never saw it again until yesterday someone told us about this new version. Just started playing and its better than we remember. Thanks for bringing it back.
The game is a great flashback to Space Pirates. We'd love more worlds, descriptions of the worlds, and more of a story line. Plus, free travel between worlds instead of paths would be awesome. Otherwise, totally entertaining. Love the new mining controls.
Nice trading, mining, and fighting game. Relaxing to play. We'd like to see more upgrades and maybe a bigger selection of ships to buy. Currently there is only one ship. A banking system would add to the game. Possible five stars after next revision.
This is a fun, turn based, space/resources game.
All it needs is a soundtrack. Then it's definitely 5 star worthy.
We really love the concept of the game however it has some issues. The main being lack of content. Literally the same to missions over and over. Help rebels on Ramon or blight on Mitus. Thats it. The mini quests were good but became bugged and the person you are supposed to speak to never shows up. Space combat is okay though hard to maneuver. We really like that you can ours asteroid fields and find loot.
Fun and addictive game. We just wish theyd patch it so we can plot courses beyond a single jump and so that your cargo would remember what you paid for it.
