Fantastic game that feels like Tony Hawk Pro Skater with a Hotline Miamis restart system lol. We love it, highly recommended, just PLEASE ADD TAP TO OLLIE! Noodlecake our dudes, if you added the option to press&hold (then release) to Ollie, itd be infinitely better. Swipe&hold makes sense but we keep instinctively trying to press&hold because it feels right. Still an absolutely top tier 2D SSX Tricky though!
So we’ve completed all the challenges and should have all the stars but something isnt updating so we cant unlock the final guy. Achievements arent showing as complete either. Emailed the developer like he requested and havent seen any changes or updates. Original review below: Really enjoying the gameplay at this point. Very smooth. The challenges add replay value to the boards and theres a lot of diversity there. Having some issues where the game isnt recognizing that some challenges are complete and it isnt tallying all our stars as a result. A few of the slide challenges on cloud canyon levels seem like they wont recognize perfect slides and cant be completed. We’ve got the #1 score on every board at the moment so we hope they listen and get that cleaned up. All in all a really nice effort that we enjoy replaying. Soundtrack is a blast as well!

Edit2: we finally figured it out and can finally start enjoying the game. We want more people playing so that there is an online community. Basically no one out there is playing this yet. Edit: we gave it another star because there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Heel press is your friend. We finally broke into the next stage. We would actually prefer to give 3.5 stars but we dont have that option. We feel that 4 is being too generous. We like the concept of the game and the music is nice. Our main gripe is the controls. We feel that playing on our device it is way too hard for us to get to gold star on any of the starting levels. We understand the concept ok. Maybe you should tweak the controls so that we can press more easily and do more tricks and earn the last stubborn 3 stars to move on to the next world. To be honest the control issue makes this feel more like a beta. We love Noodlecake tho. Also for the love of Pete please make a ssg4. That blitz game kinda sucked.
This game is so cool, the style, the music the levels! Once the controls clicked for us we started pulling some crazy combos! Reminds us of the original TonyHawk! Feels gooood.
Fun but when we complete the challenges and do the required tricks it does not award any stars. Tried a bunch of times. We wonder if it needs a patch?
The game is a lot of fun! The controls are very unique and challenging the levels are always changing and keeping the game fresh. We do feel like the controls get a little bit frustrating but then we sit back and listen to the amazing soundtrack and we forget why we were mad. This game is definitely up there with the ALTOS adventure/ Odyssey games.
We’ve been beta testing this game for what seems like years now and Im ecstatic that its finally out. The controls are simple yet challenging, the levels are creative and fun, and the music is absolutely amazing. We havent heard all the songs we know and love from the beta (I hope they all made it ), but the new tracks are so good. If you enjoy doing tricks and like the challenge of upping your score, this game is a no brainer. Worth every penny.
