We dont typically get into mobile games and we play a LOTTTTTTT to see which ones actually hit and we truly got excited as soon as we saw the art style and remembered the gameplay when we got back on today! Such a great game, yall killed it.
We used to play CR but as soon as we played this CR aint the same. The different play styles and factions allow for a unique and kickass experience. We highly recommend this game due to its great visuals, monthly updates to balance the META, and ultimately for its great card selection. Every card is different and has a purpose. Good job and best of luck to Sheepyard. Edit: Revision So we were a bit hesitant to hop back on with new developers on the job but Sheepyard has done it. They made it so much better with updates that are frequent and needed. They listen and respond to fans. This game is not only amazing but the people behind really care – thats what keeps us coming back. Great game 12/10 and great developing team 12/10. Keep it up people, youre doing great.
This is hands down the greatest game on the app store. It never gets stale, it has a great rank/reward system, and is constantly updating to keep things fresh.
There are a few minor details that could be changed. We have only been playing for a week, but we wish that you had a better sorting system for your cards. We know you have the four different factions…but you have similar cards and races species and what not in the each deck. When we are trying to make a new deck with dragon, dwarf, feline, pirate, etc and etc….it would be a lot easier to sort through our cards, and make us want to play this game more with that other stuff we have accessible. Maybe a pause button when playing the computer, so we can play when Im not exactly free and try out decks. And speaking of playing inbetween free times, an auto play where it basically uses the same algorithm as the cpu (not the best but Ill take it if Im in the middle of a game and get pulled away) to play our cards against a live opponent.
Storm bound is fun for everyone . It is so food we play all the time.
We download lots of games and end up deleting them but Stormbound is too good to delete we love this game.
Game is really good and addicting. They should make two separate online rankings though. One for people who P2W – pay to win and the other without spending money so its more of an even match rather then us getting destroyed every game because everybody above bronze ranking has either legendaries or cards that are OP. We would give this 5 stars but like we said the PvP is unbalanced. Also the campaign is an awesome learning curve. We think you should add more levels/ heroes for people who like pve.
This game is incredibly fun HOWEVER, why does it match low level players with players that are extremely over powered. It causes the players to lose coins and it keeps the strong players on top. Not fair to those starting out.
Used to love this game when it first came out a few years ago. Just came back and unfortunately not much has changed about it. We assume the developers have shifted their attention and energy onto other projects which is very disheartening considering the potential this immersive card game had to rival alongside with popular mobile games such as clash of clans, pokemon go, and even gwent or south parks phone destroyers. We remember the main factor that held this game back were the micro-transactions that made it feel like a pay to win game. That weight has lightened over the years but it still feels very much the same. Also the lack of content for the game hasnt progressed much. They definitely need to add in more factions and develop new interesting maps and modes and ways for you to interact with other players in the community using the app. Im probably cherry picking but man what a let down to what could have been so promising for many people. Still a solid game for when youre stuck on the toilet.
The fact we have to constantly sign in every time we open the app made us quit the game.
You need to fix your algorithms! We really was enjoying this game until we got to level 11 now we just keep losing every game no matter what deck we do Ive tried everything. It seems like all the time that was put into this was making the game look super HD and cool effects! No time spent on actually making the gameplay work.
Let us start off by saying that this game isnt the PtW.* This is an amazing, strategic card game filled with amazing card synergy and loads of different combos! (our favorite is High Priestess + Frog Rain) It feels so good to be on the brink of defeat, just to pull a miracle card combo that sets you up for a comeback! Not to mention the graphics!!! Unique art for each card, amazing visual effects for attacking, moving, using abilities, and so much more. The graphics make the game feel alive! There is one minor problem though.* Overall, this is an amazing game and one of our favorites that we would recommend to anyone who enjoys planning a few turns ahead and feeling that rewarding sense of pulling off a devastating combo. Sure, you can a lot of good cards by paying an excessive amount of money, but if you just login daily, play a match do your gem challenges, and buy card packs with the coins and gems you earn, you can easily amass a large amount of good cards. We have never spent money in this game, and we have gathered a multitude of legendary cards. Also, the rare cards arent that much better than the other cards. While grinding our way to the good cards, we were able to easily beat PtW players. Also, by making the real money purchases so inefficient, the developers severely made it harder to PtW. **Some card are unbalanced. Some are very powerful and some arent good at all. Youre probably confused because right above this we said the rare PtW cards arent much better. This is because most of the good cards are just normal common ones. Theres one that literally just resets an entire lanes of you troops all the way back to the start AND damages them! (Flame Stream) Fortunately, the developers are amazing and actually listen to reviews and suggestions and make balance changes based on them.(Personally, we feel that wind makers and Flame stream are the most unbalanced ones.).
Legitimately a fun game that isnt osu to win.
We got our niece and nephew into this game, the turn based moves help us explain the style of Hearthstone or even Magic the Gathering.
So first off, Stormbound is an amazing card game that Ive had a ton of fun with. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is challenging but still fun, and the car system is easy and fun to use. The only problem we have is that some cards(which are the troops or units placed on the battlefield) are a little unbalanced. This can be annoying, but it is covered up by the fact that each of the groups has those annoying cards that seem a little busted. Unfortunately, most of the slightly OP cards are of the higher rarities. For some one with terrible luck(like us), you never get a legendary except once in a blue moon.

This game is just amazing. The only problem we have is that it keeps signing us out of our account every time we exit the game, and we cant seem to fix it.
We give this app 3 stars because we have to sign back into our account every time we want to play. Super annoying. Great game tho. Will change to 5 stars when the problem is fixed.
There are reviews from 3 years ago stating the games unfair matchmaking and replies from the games creators saying theyre working on fixing and resolving the issues, however how long can it take to create separate pools for people to play in. Figure it out. You guys charge a lot of money and Im sure have the resources to fix it, so do so. Even in January of 2021 theyre shown saying we are working on the issue yadayada but still no improvements from what we see. We are an iron league player going against diamond players with way higher card levels. Very frustrating.
We enjoy playing the game but you only get about 20 AI matches, and after that its all pvp. Im ok with this but it seems the player base is small and Im constantly matched up against much stronger opponents. People have lvl 3 and lvl 4 legendary card and our decks are no competition. Can be very frustrating. We really wish devs would add more AI matches or puzzle based scenarios, and really fix the pvp ranking system to make it more balanced.
Hey, Stormbound? You wanna fix all the broken cards sometime? -Klaxi: can fricking flood the board with 5 strength units for only the cost of 8 -Needle Blast: always ALWAYS targets base- free three damage on base every time it cycles through, requires no strategy to use There are so SO many more other broken cards that make playing the game so frustrating. Ive been playing the game for three years and keep getting beat by broken cards and then kicked down from gold 1 to silver 5 at the beginning of every season. Dont get this game unless you hate your free time.
We hope everybody comes across this comment and actually listen to what we have to say…storm bound is a pay to win money manipulation lazy scam. Thats right storm bound has to much op legendaries you run out of coins and gems really quickly its not that rewarding to the point when you have to buy for the game. There is a lot of blocks in this game and when we say a lot we mean A LOT you can try to play free but trust us you wont get that far because this game barely gives you anything and it gets boring fast. We can tell the developers spent a lot of time trying to get peoples money so much that they dont really care about the game play because the gameplay is ok but it gets boring over time. We do have to give credit where it belongs because they do make a lot of updates but all those updates combine still dont own up to all of the broken and money stealing things in this game. Fr this game is so broken so boring barely rewarding. This game only has two modes you could barely do anything in this game once your done with the tutorial and the tutorial rank there is so many walls even in bronze rank. The developers cant even make update rewards the nerve. And you expect us to be manipulated in to paying this game once toy pay the game the stuff you get out is not even that good. Dont get us started on the characters there is so little u cant only make 2-3 decks out of the 5 sections what a rip off between all the other card stone games. We know they added there own thing but still we would not pay for this game its not even good but if you dont pay the developers wont like that it would be almost impossible to reach platinum rank like cmon show some respect for people playing this game so as we said before.
When you first start playing its real fun and new, but once you get your cards up to level three then its all downhill from there. Youll suddenly be getting matched with people with all level five cards, the algorithm for what cards in your hand starts to become shady, to say the least,(almost as if the system purposely holds off on giving you the card that should be in rotation until the point where you dont need it anymore, while at the same time, your opponent gets the same perfect cards every other turn, and vise versa)but really the worst thing is that the game can actually be fun. It also looks really nice. But there is just something off about it… And some will say get good but the thing is, youll be playing with the EXACT SAME DECK and be losing nonstop, but then start playing some hours later, and suddenly you are winning nonstop; it makes no sense. The rotation of cards NEEDS to be fixed, the matching algorithm needs to be fixed, certain overpowered cards need to be removed, and there needs to be less divine luck that plays into the game. Not salty just wish this game did a better job and let the skill of the player play a larger role in the outcome of the game. 5/10 give it a shot if youre bored, but dont say we didnt warn ya.
We dont understand why the game is still so unbelievably unbalanced. Ive been playing this game for 2 years now.how am we getting into matches with level 15 and 20s Im still level 11 with level 1 and 2 cards its so unfair its literally a free win for our opponent. We just cant play this game anymore we try and try but we can never climb we always lose to very high ranked players who are still in silver 3 its so broken. This is pretty much pay to win these devs are horrible they were on hard LSD making epic and legendary cards especially elder cards and the fact that you can have 5 legendary cards in your deck is stupid like who ever decided to have no restrictions in your deck is stupid like we love playing matches that have people with 5 legendary cards that only cost 2-6 like this game is horrible unless you pay up everything (update 2021) developers are a still pumping our pay to win cards in the store. This is pathetic we thought this game was about skill. A credit card doesnt give you skill, you devs are disappointing.
If you like strategy games and like to learn something new this game is for you. Super fun, good graphics, and great community.
Im still a noob but we know that end game is going to be fun.
Ive been playing this game for almost 2 years now. Gaming is a big hobby of ours so you can imagine Ive played many great games, but we can officially say this is our favorite. With the beautiful artwork and well-balanced factions, this game is good to play both competitively AND for fun. The fact that you dont have ads yelling at you after every match is also a plus. This game doesnt have ads UNLESS you want to watch them to gain extra cosmetics. (we personally avoid that) Do be advised that this game takes practice, you will probably lose a lot of matches when you start playing. It takes time to learn the specialties of each faction and how to counteract specific cards. But dont let this discourage you, this game is well worth your time. If youre a fan of real-time strategy and/or card collecting games, youll fall in love.
Very fun game. U dont get bored on it but there are alot of bugs where units dont do what they suppose to. Developer if you can look into this its great.

This game is pretty and has good gameplay. HOWEVER!!!! It is completely pay to win. 100%. Imagine clash royale but worse. And theres no playerbase, everyone you play is bots anyways. So good BYE.
The new update has broken the cards to where if you try to upgrade itll do the animation but then never upgrade them.
The first campaign is fun. The second is challenging but still fun. After that it becomes and unbalanced, unfun nightmare. And Ill bet theres a payed currency that allows you to get better stuff. This is pay to win.
We dint do reviews often but this game is very good theres plenty of cards and they do a really cool range of things, and nothing feels overpowered it seems really balanced like you can do a lot of different builds and enjoy them and not have to worry about having to do something specific to do well.

Well made game but has clearly become pay to win with the latest cards extremely OP. Matchmaking in brawls can be very unequal with extremely unbalanced battles against high or very low ranking opponents.
Good game! Enjoy it except for our 35 gems disappearing when not used! You do not need to buy gems or gold since it can simply be gained by logging in once a day or winning matches. If only could make a board game then we could play it home.
Every once in a while we come back to this game because it has so much potential not to be the worst experience in the App Store, but it continues to remind us that we shouldnt get our hopes up. The short version is this: their fabricated version of gameplay is wildly broken and isnt meant to be fair. If you pay money and upgrade your cards, have fun trouncing your opponents! If youre looking for a laidback way to have fun on your phone, go literally anywhere else. Any attempts to balance cards is completely misleading, it just comes down to money paid.
Now. Im not the smartest cookie but we can grasp the strategy of this game. Its art is actually something we can enjoy. Each cards has its own cool design. We know Im rambling about the art and design but the game itself is superb. If you learn your deck well enough you just start sweeping people. Until you find someone who knows their deck and starts sweeping you. Its a bit upsetting that by turn 5 they just cover the board and there is nothing you can do. But that happens rarely. To us at least. We enjoy the game and if you for some reason read this and download the game then we hope you enjoy it too.
Im not a bot we swear this is a good game, Im only about an hour in but Im having good time. Its hard but worth is as well.
We played Stormbound a couple of years ago and got completely hooked. It was a grind to level up your deck and get the cards you want, but it was a fun grind. We have fond memories of the time we spent crafting different decks to compete against other players. We were initially disappointed to return to this game years later and see that we had to start from the beginning. There is no trace of our prior progress to be found. However, we are pleasantly surprised by the upgrades made to the game and its menus. The new game mode and cards are also welcome.
Well made game. Fun and challenging. Give it a whirl, but make sure to do all of the campaign missions first to unlock ad many cards as possible before you try to build a deck and pvp. Wish the price point was lower, and wish you could pay a couple bucks to get rid of needing to watch and ad to get the +15 gold after the match. You should not get the ad, but still get the gold. We think its reasonable. The price point is not bad enough to detract from the rating imo.
We love the game but a couple weeks ago it just stopped working on our devices. Ill just sit at the loading screen forever.

Absolutely terrific game. Love the look, love the card abilities, and love the strategy! It is kind of a pay to win game, however strategy will win out almost every time and if you are smarter about how you have built your deck you can win against anyone.
We really like this game, its mostly balanced with a fair progression system and a decent player base. Its on of our most played games on the App Store but It doesnt have the best gameplay loop, like its fun for about a month at a time.
We remembered the game from when we used to play a while ago and we decided to download it again after wondering why we deleted it and was looking forward to playing it again when we couldnt get in, it kept us on the loading screen and we just could not get past, the game is good and we loved it when we could play it, but now it is hard to remember all the good things that we could be doing again when we cant even get it, we wont hold it against the game and we still love it so keep up the good work, we will keep trying to get in and see what we can do.
Over the past few months, the gameplay has gotten worse. Game occasionally pauses and doesnt let us lay all our cards. The ads have gotten longer and more frequent. Im getting to the point where we will quit playing because of these issues. Also, every time we feel like Im getting better they change the card strength. Please put things back the way they were Im at about a 3.5 on this game now. Took a full star away.
We admit we had fun with this game for a while, but as we got closer to the next rank (silver 1), people were throwing down level 4 cards against our level 1s and 2s, alongside 3 to 4 legendary cards. Completely ruins the game when you just dont even have a fighting chance. They really need to implement a balanced playing field where you can play matches with cards that are ALL the same level. How is it possible that a player can just constantly place a level 4 card down and clear the board, while all youre trying to do is make enough units to get to the halfway point. This game reeks of pay to win, with little love for people who want to enjoy the game for its interesting strategic gameplay.
The rate of progression is painfully slow. Must play 20 games to be able to purchase 3 cards of the lowest quality. The greed of the devs is limitless, and shame thats how it is because at the core this game is fun, but browser line unplayable. Gwent is the golden standard of card games. Devs and players please look into it, so you too can know what a proper card game is.
