Im a huge fantasy nerd, we love games like this.

Our phone keeps blinking non stop on your app. We dont have seizures, but we cant look at that? We love the game, we’ve been here for years but we cant deal with this!
Would be fun if devs could fix load screen errors in game The most exciting part of this game is not tactics against your Opponent but if the game will actually let you access the screens without load errors on timely actions Huge problem.
They changed events after they are started, dont reply to issues, pretty much trying to either kill the game or hope that everyone quits at this point. Was a really fun war game but going downhill very quickly over the last 6 months.
Why are there so many errors. The game is constantly asking us to re-login.

Love the game but when are you going to put the other games where you can get them on your tablet as we miss playing soldiers inc and sparta game as we no longer have a pc or laptop.
You can do battle you can do anything you want its insane we love it.
So basically our phone broke and we got a new one. We went to sign in through Facebook but since we have two Facebook accounts we accidentally hit the wrong account. Now it wont let us switch our Facebook or login into our other account please tell us how to fix this.
We started playing around 2015/2016 that Time we were a 8 year old kid, now Im 14 and its one of the only games from that long ago we have. Its really fun to play although the servers we play on are small.
Because sapphires have stopped coming in even after us completing the tasks that get sapphires for past 2 days been playing game for weeks. A developer did respond as we noticed they fixed the sapphires glitch, thanks.

Many bugs in this game that dont get worked on. Support has not corrected our issues after 5 months of submitting screenshots. We are aware of this issue and its currently being worked on is their user response. Nothing ever gets fixed. If you want a refund, you will need to go through itunes if using an iphone. We recommend trying other games before commiting to this one. Good luck!
We spent a lot of $$$. We created a login. Logged out and in and lost 60 levels. Asked for tech support help and got a bot. Sent an email with our issue and only silence. Find a different game that knows how to handle profiles and has customer service. Plarium doesn’t.
Thought was exciting and different then other mmo war games & The troop training and a different troops and how they work that is different little bit convoluted but there are things that we look for now in war games over the past year we’ve probably played over 60,most dont make it past week! We just like doing reviews and we got certain rules now that if they are broken within the first week? Im done with the game! Now game is a snoozer big time! But we can get past that in a way, we mean there is lots to do but that may be the problem but one of the rules we have is that if within the first week Im running out of resources already whether Im farming or not, that tells us something and this game is a pure cash grab! Do not let anyone for or let the developers tell you otherwise, and funny thing is, Im a spender.. We dont mind spending but this game you can already tell that you would have to spend a small fortune to be relevant! Also the major currency that really is everything in the game sapphires kind of ridiculous to come by! And a little bit that you do when here and there amounts to nothing really and they have a lot of things in place to really advance, you pretty much have to spend some.. Now the server Im on theres not a lot of action there might be a nap we dont know if thats the case and you can find a server with an nap? Then you can probably grow, youll have to grind a lot and it is easy to move up to level 40 really quick actually… But level 40 sounds big but its not theres this whole separate thing we think you get to once you hit like level 100, it goes to another 50 levels or so.. This game has been out for what five years.. We dont know, Im not saying dont play the game just for us its too boring and we already have a couple other games that we spend on and we could tell this game would be a lot of micro transactions especially when it comes to needing sapphires! We have written a couple of times about our infant ray training issue, having the building at a level to get 3 full days of training on our main. However, we can only trian infantry for up to 2 days and 9 hours, not the full 3 days. Developers never responded or attempted to fix the issue. Also certain items are not rewarded in quest but can ONLY be purchased, making this more about money then entertainment.

Contrary to other posts, we have found that you dont need to spend any money to be competitive here. This is still the only game we play everyday.
So when almost all of the in game purchases cost $100 USD then you can see the rater below was calling the developer out correctly. This game use to be fun but unless you are an oil Barron then we dont see how one could afford to play. To respond that you dont need money is incorrect. You need to buy sketches to progress past a certain point and those cost cash money to make any reasonable/ marginal progress in the game.
We have spent at least 15000 with this company dont be fooled like we were. All these they will do is steal and cheat you!!! From hitting your credit card for things you did not order to updates that take away what you have already bought or earned to steal more dollars from you!!! New players beware!!!!!
This game is not a waste of time. Yes the game has been almost unplayable lately but the developers have responded. It takes time to get everything just right. Especially in a game like this one that keeps growing and changing. Patience is the key. We want everything right now! Lol It may seem like nothings being done but the devs always come through. At least they have in the few years we’ve been playing. We love this game.
This game has become exclusively about who is willing to pour money into the game versus the game used to be about work and reward as well as team comradery. The Tower feature is an unnecessary addition and really is not enjoyed by those who play the game. Once again it rolls back to money-anyone who buys their way in/out and around advancement glitches within the game is a happy camper. They are always the strongest and capable of rushing 70-80% of their fellow players. The face that they receive VIP status for both playing/spending just reinforces that the game developers are more worried about financial gain than member retention. We really wish everything in this game -as far as ranking /needs/ and building strength did not revolve around paying for 3/4 of it. At this point over 1/2 of 20 leagues we played with have already abandoned their castles and quit playing all together. For the average person looking for a way to relax and enjoy a game -I wouldnt recommend SF, but if you are above average economically with a competitive trait and have money to burn-then we would recommend this game. The spenders seem to love it!
Updating to two stars. Game works now after major release which is a welcome improvement but still many gameplay issues exist. League chat, champion training, hero equipment modals all cause boot to home screen. Seems like instantiation issue affecting all mini games. Game is also showing stack trace error upon app refresh which is a ux no no. Again… We like the story, the strategy, and the community, but the foundation that brings all those things together, the engineering, needs more work. Will continue to update as things get better… Or worse. One point worth making, the support team is very nice, we just wish they did not need to do as much support for their sake and ours!
They keep releasing updates that have really made effort feel less impactful. And the last update broke the app. It wont even load. Find something else.
Over the years, we played Stormfall, Rise of Balur with few accounts. Plarium has updates quite often with too many bugs. Average once a month. Some updates cause more problems than before, and every major updates add new revenue schemes. Worst part of Stormfall is bad connections and request to relogin. Stormfall requires latest hardware with high powered CPU, much memory, and high bandwidth connection. Our new iPad 128mb wasnt good enough for last update. We had to relogin after almost every click. Frustration is an understatement. This is after a new owner and multiple major upgrades. Developer wants detailed failure data but it doesnt change much afterwards. Even top tier coiners who spend hundreds of dollars per month (thousands in some months)doesnt always get best customer service either. Another unfair thing about Stormfall is there are lots of Russian federation players who can buy game currency at less than 1/10th of EU or US players. They can buy more troops for cheaps and kill your league easier. Why do we still play? Many good players left but few players we have developed relationships with are good. Otherwise we would have quit too. When our game mates are gone then Ill be gone too.
We havent had a solid connection in weeks. Spent over $70 last week for units and sapphires and couldnt stay connected long enough (or even at all, like this afternoon) to use them effectively. Cannot contact game support because – oh thats right – we cannot get into the game. Nice enough game but Im not spending anymore money, and we dont recommend anyone else spend money either.
We really enjoy this game and Im cool with the constant evolution and need for new strategies. Lately the developers are really pushing more of a league level involvement with league brawls and champ tower events. With that said… This game is constantly breaking. Server updates and app updates are almost a daily occurrence and every update breaks the game. If this doesnt improve we will leave the game. Many players have already moved on. Its a shame.
This game used to be the best… But now every update/bug fix/lag fix breaks something new. Cant stay logged in, or do anything in game for weeks now. Constant connection errors/ re-login error messages/ server updates that they just tell you is your internet connection problem not theirs. We highly doubt when everyone in the game has the same problem its all their internet connections. Own your issues and fix your game problems Plarium. You make plenty of money from players. There should not be these kinds of problems. Dont waste your time or money. They wont get another dime from us.
We have been playing this game for a really long time, and it is a good time waster. But they seriously have to fix their server side issues, the game freezes at least once every ten minutes and loses connection to the server. Checking the forums, this is a wide spread issue affecting many people across multiple devices and locations. We used to even pay into this game every once and a while, but not since the lag issues started. Unless the hourglasses go away, we might be done soon.
This game used to be great. Now it is plagued with pay to win features that make moderate coiners and non coiners irrelevant and horrible updates that glitch out the whole game and make it unplayable for everyone. If you like being kicked from game constantly on any platform or not being able to log in for days and even weeks at a time, this is the game for you.
The Log in; Re-login; Re-login adventure. You get the idea….
This is the most expensive game we have ever seen or played. You keep hearing you can play for free but its simply not true. In order to win prizes you need to be on the top teams, which rarely take non spenders. In fact, the odds of the in game winnings are not accurate at all, in favor of the house most of the time. If you dont spend and upgrade you can not increase levels that quickly. There are beacons in the game that were great for a long time, then they were over produced and tournaments allowed the destruction of them and they have never come back. But you can spends 1000s to temporarily recover them. We still cant express the cost. They have these things called champions (level 5) and you MUST buy them if you want them. Its costs $100 to attempt to get one and the odds are extremely low In order to get them all it costs between $5000 to $10000, unless they give you lots of doubles which they do. The company has destroyed the game, and the cost is unbearable, Ill never complain about buying apple products again. If you are not willing to pay 50 to 100$ a week go find something else to play. We just passed our 5 year anniversary in the game and they gave us about 5$ in troops, thats their generosity. We do play it and do like it but the fun is wearing out, every month there are more and more items to buy and nothing is reasonable its crazy expensive.
Do not download this game unless youre prepared to spend A LOT of money. The only limit on ones power is the amount of money one is willing to spend the top players spent $1k/month or more. In exchange for thousands of dollars, Plarium gives VIP players a personal customer service representative, thousands of bonus sapphires, and items that make them so powerful that one of these money players can easily destroy an ENTIRE LEAGUE of players who spend $30/month or so. This power imbalance has ruined the game. It used to be fun to upgrade beacons and forts, but nobody does that now the $1K/month crowd will downgrade it as soon as they see it. Plarium has made it clear that they do not care about the non-VIP crowd. They ignore players in-game error reports. They are condescending and dismissive in the Plarium forums if someone suggests all is not well. Their Facebook group moderators are as helpful as possible, but they lack power to fix stuff. Plariums greed is killing this game, which makes those of us who loved the game very sad. :-( Note to developers: Unless you intend to address the power imbalance, theres no need to respond to this review.
If you attack someone you can no longer get your troops back. We have hundreds of boosts that we could use but palarIiym now requires you to pay for what you already had for free.
Its good game and we play it for 4 years But we have some small problems 1- we cant send than 3 cravan and only 20 carvan in one day If you can make it open freely its will be good 2- make us give gifts to uor alliance members And thnx.

When we touch the letter and report, it keep stopping the game. No can do nothing. It has been a problem 1 week. We reported it to the g.m and never receive an answer. We’re getting regret to play. If it does not fix it, that’s fine we will stop playing for saving money.
We’ve played Stormfall since 2015 or longer and in the last year to year and half we find myself playing less and less!! These updates are horrible we couldnt imagine be a newbie and try to figure this game out!! If we didnt have 25 very close friends that play this game it would have been already deleted but each update Im getting closer to saying F*** it and deleting!! This game is now centered around spending money and not everyone wants to do that and its sad theyve turned an amazing game into the worse!! We dont mind if games cost a little up front nor do we mind paying for an occasional ad on. What we dont like is when you literally have to pay to be the best. You can build a reasonable size army and really dedicate yourself to the game day in and day out. However, once you attack one person who has paid his life savings into the game, you are literally done. You will not win and your army is toast. Im not exaggerating. When you play, your screen is bombarded with packs you can purchase to build your army faster. We dont have anything against companies wanting to make money, but holy cow this is murder! Dont bother trying to hold a fortress because those who spend an ungodly amount of money (and there are many players who do) can take it out in one hit which is stupid insane. If we could rate this game lower, we would. However we cant deter people from playing. We can only warn you to what you should expect. Either spend or dont have fun playing.
Plarium charges a lot of money for bundles and everything else. They also like to take your money and take forever to respond to issues that are simple.
This is our first game review, but we feel we need to warn people. We will start we have been playing this game for almost 2 years now and we have enjoyed it. Recently we bought a $99 pack and it was missing items that were in the advertisement. We contacted support and they were useless? Do you have screenshots they said? Well no, no screenshots, NO help. We buy on impulse. Why take screenshots. Well now we learned. So we went back and looked at all the in game purchases for the last year for Stormfall and we feel like been cheated and stolen from. Be very careful when buying from them. Take many screenshots. Best of luck dealing with support!
