What Makes STRAIN TACTICS Stand Out
Strain Tactics is a real time, top-down tactical ARPG that takes players to a cyberpunk, apocalyptic future where the world has been taken over by an infectious alien strain. Featuring 80 playable characters and over 150 unique items and weapons, the game challenges players to defeat enemies by commanding customizable ground teams from their Helibase-gunship overhead. Players can indulge in a variety of scenarios across over 30 different maps, and the sandbox-style mechanics allows users to approach the maps according to their play style.

You have to fight the weapon platforms every single time you go there thats absurd no units in game except weapon platforms can beat them every single time and you cant respawn weapon platforms and theyre needed for late game missions so its nearly impossible to beat game without these key units why have to fight them every time you go there after beating the mission already thats stupid concept.
We wish you can add different weapons to the helibase. This is a great game. We wish you can make your own map.
We didn't like this game, and really tried to get into it. There is a lot that isn't well explained, but there are online communities that help clarify. Neg mind, using the cryovat, paranoia trait are a few that come to mind. Now that we understand the mechanics and such, we really wish that the story was more well developed and that gameplay was streamlined. There are way too many options from the vending machines, and how to heal and refill should be simpler or automatic when going to base. We hope that the developers stick with this game, once you get the hang of it, it becomes exciting and entertaining. It definitely scratches the rts itch.
Game's pretty good,it'll definitely scratch that rts itch,but the controls need a little fixing.Maybe a more through tutorial.
We think theres a dynamite game hiding behind the gawdawful interface, but we want to play the game. If the real game is the interface itself, this is one of the better puzzlers out there. Perhaps it was mislabeled as a tactical? Ill try again in a few months to see if it becomes playable.
At first we got really frustrated but once you get the hang of it is really good! ( please keep updating).
Once you get the hang of some things, this can be fun. But you are going to definitely lose people along the way as you figure things out. The good thing is that you can bring them back as long as the whole team is not wiped out.
Youd think this would be amazing, but its more frustrating than fun. Very unclear and a poor UX. Ugh…want to love this.
