When we play Tenpin theres an option to play w a friend, where you hand phone back n forth to take turns. Its a nice option, does this app have it and Im missing it? Dave G.
Balls that slip through the front line of pins or in between pinsjust doesnt happen. The amount of pins that get hit and the pins dont fall. And the fact that there is oil on the deck is the biggest flaw.
A very realistic candlepin simulator and the reason we know that is its just as frustrating as real candlepin bowling except the action and sound effects play more like 10 pin. We wish the pins wouldnt wobble as much as they do because often times the pins fall as the screen is changing and it doesnt register our STRIKE even though we got a STRIKE! We would t be so upset but when youre playing for real cash you want it to be fair at least.
Great game! Would like to see two improvements. CandlePin balls cannot fit between any pins without touching a pin. Also, if a wiggling pin starts to fall, the progresses to the next ball without crediting the pin fall on previous frame or it stands back up.
We live in Pennsylvania so we have no candle pin bowling alleys and this is as close as it gets and it is pretty fun.
This is a great game. Very much like real candlepin bowling. The latest upgrade has been a great improvement.

We fell in love with Candlepin while visiting New England and this feeds our new addiction until we return.
Good but we notice a glitch in the software. When a pin falls down late, it does not always count.
As a New Englander this gives us the authentic feeling of the most challenging bowling game which is CandlePin! The slow mo replay when you make a good shot is cool . We wish the greed of playing for money wasnt involved but you can still enjoy the gameplay for free.
Only thing we wish you would change is the pin sounds.
We enjoy this game but a couple things that would make this game 10x better, if the ball didnt go through or in between slight holes in pins. Another thing is adding like a rescan option when you click the pins button mid game on the top right, this mechanic would allow you to rescan the pins actually standing so it gives the correct number a fill on a mark or to finish up a frame. Another by pass to that is not moving on to the next ball automatically the user has to tap the screen when theyre ready and thats when itll tell you how many pins are knocked down.
Sometimes pins fall after we need them to make our spare or strike, as in the reload screen doesnt wait on wobbling pins. Other than that its a fun candlepin bowling game.
Its more like ten pin with CandlePin rules.

We have been playing this game for a few months now, and it is so much fun! We do bowl CandlePin, but we have to admit, it is really competitive. You should join, give it a try, you might become addicted to fun which this game is.
Game is fun and entertaining. The fact that theres real money involved ups the stakes, however Ive come across two bots that Im almost positive are bots only in the money league. We brought it up to customer service, and received the same copy and paste email 3 separate times with no real solution. Id suggest only playing practice round with their coins rather than putting any amount of money in the game as it will get taken by the bots. They claim its skill based matchmaking, however Ive encountered the same bots from when we were new and bad to now where we consider ourselves pretty decent. All that to say, just dont play for money stick to the free practice rounds.
For those of you who actually know what candle pin bowling is, here is a great way to spend some time playing the game we love. We grew up around CandlePin bowling. Our family owned a CandlePin bowling alley until our Dad passed away. Machine shops in the area closed their doors and that put a cramp in our business. We can tell by the names of the subscribers (user names) these people are mostly from New England and there could be some that bowled at our lanes. Name of our place was Dicks Lanes in Windsor Vermont! We have only one complaint and someone else already mentioned it. Sometimes the ball seemingly goes right through the pin without knocking it down! Can be frustrating if youre at a critical point in the game! Please look into it! Its always a challenging sport, maintaining consistency and your average is the toughest part of the game, thats why we like it, its not the same all the time.
We have been playing this game for a few months now, and it is so much fun! We do bowl CandlePin, but we have to admit, it is really competitive. You should join, give it a try, you might become addicted to fun which this game is.
Very impressed with the changes. Balls no longer go thru pins; when spares are not converted, it's our fault, not the program. Still VERY impressed with the physics, angles, momentum…amazing The weird thing, though, is: when youre having a crappy game & you KNOW youre about to lose big, all of a sudden you start converting MIRACLE spares & your luck is incredible so that you end up losing by 6-12 pins instead of 30 or 40to make you feel better, im sure. So youre still not ALWAYS in control. Theres still that Big Brother element.

Very Good app, great fun, crazy addictive! Very curious as to how they match people. Only small problem is sometimes it crashes, they are normally very good about refunding. Make sure you dont have more than 3 apps open while playing! All in all the way the game plys is pretty smooth and extremely fun.

We love to bowl and love this app.
You cant win this game by slamming fastballs down the middle. The glitch only happens if you throw faster than a human could throw a candlepin ball. The pins are a little harder to hit and knock down than real candlepins, but it is a lot easier to throw the ball straight. The two opposite effects result in the game being realistic as far as scores. Our high is 157, but we can still toss a 90. Just like real candlepin.

Yes, we know its the only one available to anyone that appreciates bowling skill & finesse (CandlePin). True New England bowlers know its not about picking-it-up and putting it down. Keep it between the ditches & use the deadwood to your advantage.

Spinning the pins and making them look like they are going to fall over is pretty much a waste of time. Rolling a ball right through a group of pins is no fun alsoespecially when the pins remain standing.

We love bowling you should have tournaments like the tenpin.
Way too many wobbly pins that dont fall. If you get a spare, the next ball will be a low count. Way too many times the ball goes right by a whole rack of pins and naturally a few wobbly pins that just dont fall. Just breaks any momentum waiting around for wobbly pins that wont fall. Then when a pin IS going to fall, it instantly goes to the next shot. Then its split after split after split. The oil patterns ruin it all. Its just a time killer.
Pins are reacting very differently, spinning in place. The oil percentage and pin interaction has changed dramatically. Just remove the oil %, CandlePin bowling doesnt put oil on their lanes. Oil isnt a factor in CandlePin bowling.
Been trying to login for a few days apparently we got signed out? Love this game been playing for years and all the time. This isnt about real money as we had 15 cents. We tap forget password it says successfully sent tried several times and nothing comes to our in box or spam. Had almost 3,000 coins dont feel like starting over Thanks in advance.

Its a great game a lot of fun to play and very competitive players from all over the world.
Decent little candlepin game. Physics are ok, could be more realistic but fun nonetheless. The only other oddball is there is no lane oil in candlepin but we suppose this mechanic adds to the variety. Sounds could also be truer to candlepin. Either way, we dont normally play mobile games but this one has us hooked.

The only CandlePin game Ive seen so far and we think its great, one issue is when the ball clearly goes straight through the pin and doesnt knock it down, makes us hesitant to deposit and play with real life money. Ive played money games in the past and the pin glitch seems to rarely happen during that mode. Still giving it 5 stars but will hope this error is fixed.
Phenomenal graphics. Completely smooth gameplay. SKILLZ format is always awesome. 5 star fo sho.
