Community Insight:
This version of Sudoku help us from straining our eyes, love the daily challenges. 10/10 recommend.
No sneaky subscription, no hidden fees, no random ads. You get exactly what you thought you were getting.
Nice and simple app for the ones that we love sudoku but hate commercials.
Yay the best no annoying ads so far.
So many different level of difficulty!!! And we love playing the diabolical level making the neurons in our brain work smarter. We love it. This excellent Sudoku deserves 5-Star rating.
Worth the small fee. No ads and love the game layout. Would buy again for sure.
We went through so many bad sudoku apps before we landed on this one. We almost didnt pay to try it, as Id been thru so many and nearly given up on finding a decent one. Dont hesitate, this one is worlds better than all the others and easily worth the measly two bux.
We love sudoku and have tried many, many apps. This is by far the best interface of them all. No adds also makes it exceptional. We recently damaged our phone and had to get a new one. This was the first app we redownloaded because it really is that great. 11/10 recommend.
It helps to keep our mind sharp.
We have been playing this for years. Personally we prefer the EVil level puzzles but you can pick from easy to impossible.
Nice overall game, no subscription, our only complaint is it is hard to see when you have the big numbers on the right highlighted, especially the pencil. Half the time we think Im going to pencil in something, only to have it solve/or fail a cell because it is in enter number to solve versus pencil in mode. The coloring on the right is just to hard to see. If that were fixed, Id give it 5 starts.
No frills just a solid game with no ads.
We figured paying for the app maybe Id find one with a solution check implemented, but no. On the hardest difficulty you can and will get sudokus that require guessing to solve. Also it doesnt highlight rows or columns for the filled cells when selected and selecting a filled cell turns off the pencil/notes. But theres no ads and it has dark mode.
Would be better if it had help with explanations.
The grid is not as easy to read as the free versions we have used – and no statistics compared to other users.
We worked eight puzzles. Four of them glitched and gave conflicting answers in the final blocks. Not worth the time.
We really wish that when we clicked on the numbers selection of the screen: that the game would then allow us to enter the number into multiple spots on the game board that we would click on the spot to choose where we want to place that number. It would make entering all of the same number onto the board a lot easier. Which in turn would make our game playing time go down and the game easier to complete faster.
Notes mode flicks on and off. We never know what its going to do.
Our other app switched to a subscription based model so Im trying out new sudoku apps. This one is bad considering its paid. At least its cheap. The note-taking interface is clunky and confusing. Instead of just being on or off at the push of one button its sometimes on or sometimes off. If you press a square with notes already in it then the note feature is automatically on. Its just ugly and clunky. It also doesnt show if you placed a number wrong; matter of preference we guess but Id rather know right away that we made an error. Anyway Id give this one star but since it technically functions as a sudoku app, it gets two.
No customer service. Just the minimum basic. Enough to call it Sudoku.
Too many buttons to push to fill a cell with the right number and to use the pencil note. Just too confusing. The last Sudoku that we had but we were made to get rid of was MUCH easier and quicker to finish. This one takes too long for a game that is meant for speed.
Poorly designed Evil puzzles have no solutions.
Hands down our favorite app. Fun, challenging, and no garbage.
Simple, works well, no problems. Good value for the price.
This app cost a few dollars but worth it. Sudoku with an easy to read board and we love it lets you know which numbers have been already used. No ads is a bonus. Different skill levels including easy, medium, difficult, hard, evil and diabolical. Nice game to keep our minds sharp.
Love this game! No ads, no gimmicks. Been playing this for years.
Exactly what we were looking for: pay once, start playing sudoku.
Love game but app deletes notes at times when a move is made in another square. Very disconcerting.
We love it and its very addictive, and this site is the best.
We still love this app! We play it all the time–we've grown bored with most every other game (or finished all levels–or plateaued!). Last update is great–very easy to use. We can almost always finish the "Evil" level puzzles. UPDATE: we still play this once every day! Keeps our mind working. If you've never tried Sudoku puzzles, the different levels lead you to mastery in no time at all! UPDATE ON MY UPDATE: we have no idea when we first downloaded this app. We have played most of the games out thereget tired of themdelete themthen a couple of years download it again. We NEVER get tired of this. We have three degrees in science, math, and medicine, and not much holds our interest. This app does. Try itI think youll like it. ANOTHER Update: They keep asking for an updateso since we just keep playing this game, we WILL keep updating! Still playing. Still loving it. Ditto on everything Ive written previously.
This is the most user friendly game of sudoku we have played on the computer. At any level we choose. Playing this game helps keep our brain in shape. Robert Moran.
This has been our guilty pleasure. Its the only phone game we play. Its a well done implementation.
This is how we stop our mind from spinning. Im concentrating on one thing. It keeps us sane.
We just realized Id passed the decade mark on this app. Its not fancy, it doesnt see weekly updates, its just good. We wonder just how many thousand hours Ive in it.
Cheap, has some nice quality of life features, and the UI is well thought out and works well on an iPad.
We like the game. Id suggest shrinking the main number screen and the input numbers screen just a little and increase the menu bar size and font. Good job guys.
This really is our favorite game. We play it several times a day. We almost always play the easy version and we never get tired of it.
Our favorite, however, we would prefer a single row of unique digits marked pencil and another single row of digits marked pen. This would reduce our accidental errors. The way it is now, we have to constantly be aware if we are in pencil or pen mode causing us to correct an accidental bad digit. Thanks you.
Love this app. Its solid and the levels of difficulty are amazing. We need a hint from time to time. Please with the next upgrade, incorporate a hint function! Thx.
It needs more contrast between the grid boxes.
This is a pretty good sudoku app. Appreciate the inventiveness of the developers in terms of some of the designs like double clicking on single candidate cells to enter the solution as well as visual enhancements like highlighting rows, columns of selected cells and remaining candidates if a solved cell is selected. Recommended improvements: 1. Add a toggle for normal mode/notes mode such that normal mode stays on. If you recognize solutions for a series of cells that have multiple candidates, its clunky to have to hit the pencil button with each successive cell before entering a solution. 2. Generate evil puzzles that are more difficult. The gap between easy and evil is not that wide, while the gap between evil and diabolical is huge. 3. After a puzzle has been completed, allow the menu to go away after hitting Done or Cancel so we can admire it for a little while. Thanks. Appreciate the good work.
We also enjoy the option of a light or dark screen but we feel it would be nice to have a middle of the road option also. Thank you.
Games often repeat. Most games can be completed in 10 minutes, and then much less as you remember playing them again and again.
Highly recommend, we only wish you can set a limit on mistakes made when enabling mistake alerts. It would feel more rewarding when you have a limit especially when trying to do higher difficulty! Im sure with a update this feature can come to the game! If it wasnt for that 5 star.
As the title says, the controls arent intuitive. Are there any tutorials or hints? If so, we havent found them yet.
The game does not have an "Erase" button which makes it very difficult to use. The user has to constantly toggle the notes icon on and off to switch between a note and a number.
100% best sudoku app, tried so many before we found this one.
Ive been playing this game for years. We love it. We play it every day. We like the daily challenges and having the multiple levels of difficulty. Our husband uses a different Sudoku app. This one is much better than his.
IT NEEDS TO HAVE A SINGLE BUTTONM TO SWITCH ON/OFF FOR ERROR.
We like the various levels and appreciate no ads.
