Story
In Super Farming Boy™, you play as Super, whose mom and friends have been captured by your evil nemesis, KORPO®©TM, who unlawfully hires you to work on your own land, taxing all proceeds for himself! Now, with your friends and mom up for sale, you must harvest your way through challenging adventures, saving enough to buy your mom and friends back!
Gameplay Mechanics
In Super Farming Boy™, there are no tools because you are the tool. With the simple push of a button, you can transform into a shovel, a hammer, a pickaxe, a watering can, and more! Super Farming Boy™ can even FLY! The game's central mechanic revolves around chain reactions and combos. The magical seed creatures in this world, once harvested, trigger specific chain-reaction effects that enable you to optimize your farm in ways never seen before in a farming game. These chain reaction and combo powers also serve as your means of defense against creatures, help optimize your daily stamina usage, and facilitate various actions such as chopping down trees, demolishing boulders, removing weeds, collecting items, defeating bosses, and much more! Explore whimsical weathers and extraordinarily unusual seasons, such as Radioactive Season, Timewarp Season, and Volcanic Season. There's even a season set underwater! Super Farming Boy™ has been meticulously designed with touch controls in mind. This game is amazing, tho we would like more to be able to do, but still its a nice chill game also commenting on the cupdew valley review it does remind of stardew valley in a very good way, one little thing we dont like is that it takes to long for big plants to harvest we would like so if you have a 2 combo it would build up enough strength to take out two hp on big plants, but aside from that excellent game and we would also like more abilities you can unlock after each day, this is a great game the developers did an excellent job on this game.
Excellent for playing while listening to audiobooks. Some tasks refer to mushrooms, flies, and spiders, but Ive never encountered any of thoseis there a gameplay gate Im missing.
We cant even open the game without it kicking us out.
Not much of a single player game person but this game has quite a bit to it it seems really fun so far.
This is a very cool game. We like the art style and the fact that theres more than one save file! It took us more than one to really get the hang of the combo system but we LOVE it now that we got the idea of it.
This game is very enjoyable to play because the format of everything is very playable and we like they style the game in movement and art.
Could you tell us why every time we get in the game it need more than 1 min on loading.
Crashing all the time. On year 2. Crashes every other game day. And its incredibly frustrating because the day is almost done and it just crashes. Its gotten unplayable.
SFB : 1. 3- – 2. !? 3. 2048 1 !? Forever time. ! SFB Hello, dear developers, the game is super and you have fixed a lot of mistakes, but we want to change something: 1. To cut trees with the 3rd level of the axe-to chop logs is long and boring 2. Why do pests appear in the volcano!? 3. Why does a eaten tomato cost 2048 for 1 piece!? This is all we noticed so far and it is still possible so that the camera can be separated and you can pump forever time. Thank you.
Nice game.There used to be many bugs, but through continuous updates and fixes, they have almost disappeared.
A fun way to kill time with addicting reward structure and cool sound design.
This game is super fun! Fast paced and always adding a twist with short missions, we find ourselves playing hours on end. The graphics are out of this world, sharp and colorful and the music could be our working soundtrack. All in all, a MUST HAVE.
We really like it so far. It reminds us of: Stardew Valley(farm management, this is the best game to be compared to IMO) The Swords of Ditto and Cuphead(art style and some familiar feelings from both that we like) Crashlands(we dont know fully why maybe the upgrades which work kinda like crafting, which is different) Loop hero(in the way that if you risk late nights in this game or another late loop in loop hero and fail, losing your potential gains. There are fun new things like searching out seeds and having them follow you. The combo system is great too. Too bad Im too slow to take proper advantage of it. We can tell its good though. No inventory management is something we didnt think we would like. But we do. There is A lot of good stuff going on here. You should give it a try. Im not very far into it but we can see the larger areas and things to be unlocked. It makes us Look forward to getting to those areas. We are gonna be putting our free moments into this for awhile. We think its worth the price, even now that its not on pre-order. Go play this fun and interesting game. Edit: The dev has been very diligent at squashing bugs. The one we had previously listed is fixed so we removed it from our review.
Good bones. Just needs work. We have faith dev will fix things and make this the it can be.
Firstly, we just wanna state that we do like the game. We see great potential. But if the developers wanna have a success then theyll need to add a ton of content relating to a handful of different aspects. We do hope that day will come. And it just might if they regularly release updates with content and bug fixes. They have something great in their hands. Bugs: -After exiting the sleeping menu, screen turns and stays black. Forcing a restart to resolve it. -Umbrella does not open/activate in the rain. -Townspeople do not do anything. Just walk awkwardly back n forth. (Not sure if intentional or bug) Cons: -No zoom out option. Can barely see around the character. -Controls feel weird. Cant decide if we want to fly everywhere or touch to move. Pros: -New. -Different. -Fun.
Editing because we played the game finally. Its very fun, nice gameplay mechanics, excellent sound design, quirky characters. The bugs will be very off putting to some people. If you cant handle losing progress because you have to force quit, then wait until the game is more stable. Also decide how you feel about the whole license thing. We know games are often abandoned and whatnot after so many years on the platform (or worse, they go freemium) but this could be worth it if youre okay with that model. We hope this doesnt disappear or go free to play. We hope it gets the polish is needs as well. Its good, but if the bugs get sorted it will probably be a top played. Original review When we went to download the game Apple informed us we are purchasing a license so we guess this can be taken away from us at any time. Not sure if this is a decision by Apple or the developer but it seems very anti consumer. We had preordered the game and no where did it state that this was a license upfront. We havent played the game yet either as we are deciding whether or not to even keep it since we wasnt informed at time of purchase.
